As you may have read in my description this RMT is about Blaziken making his OU debut! Before we get on with this RMT please...PLEASE do not suggest that I remove Blaziken for something you may consider "better", Blaziken is the star of this team and is meant to stay.
p.s I wish I had some of those awesome picture people have for their RMT's but I don't, so please don't freak out on me.
p.s.s This is my first RMT
TEAM BUILDING PROCESS-
Well Obviously I wanted Blaziken so I thought which Blaziken will suit OU best....I decided that using any of Blaziken's Choice sets would just point to an inferior Infernape. I looked for something Blaziken has but Infernape doesn't and thats where I found the UU Agility set...which brought me to my next member.
Next I needed something that would cover all...well most of Blaziken's weakness'. Bulky Gyarados did the trick.
From Here on it was difficult for me because i'm stubborn and I wanted a Heatran but doubling up a Ground weakness seemed silly...Oh well Heatran made it to the team with his Heatrap Set.
With 2 pokes weak to ground I needed something besides Gyarados to take EQ's and such. CB Heracross was the first poke that caught my attention....He made it on to my team, with his slight bulk and massive physical attacking prowess.
Ok so now I needed something that was just plain bulky....I wanted a Ghost type pokemon because by now I knew I was going to need Stealth Rocks in order for Blaziken to KO as much as possible and having them spun away would suck. I know Sleep Talk Rotom is great but I wanted to use something out of the ordinary as a spin blocker something most players won't expect. Sub Punch Dusknoir did the trick...I mean come on who uses Dusknoir in OU anymore, let alone his Sub Punch set.
Alrighty all I need is a lead. I hate lead Machamp so much that I want to attack it with my own Dynamic Punches, and beat it in the face until it dies. The lead I needed had to be fast enough to lay down Stealth Rocks, and powerfull enough to OHKO Machamp. Who could do this....Oh I know what you all are thinking Colber berry Lead Azelf! HA! You guys make me laugh...I'd rather keep the Sash. I chose Azelf but not the conventional lead Azelf, I use a little azelf of my own creation to wreak a little havoc.
Edit: So after a while I tested out the Team and relized that Dusknoir only Provided Coolness and suprise Value for my team. While that is important I relized that Blaziken still provided Suprise and Coolness....but He actually has a purpose on the Team. I also noticed that I am incredibly Bulky Water Weak...Goodbye Dusknoir you were great while you lasted. Hello Rotom-C Taking on the Role of Spin Blocker and Bulky Water Killer!
With out any more delays lets get on to the Team!
p.s Edits in Blue
AZELF
Nature-Modest
Item-Focus Sash
Ability-Levitate
EV's 4 Hp 252 Spe 252 SpA
Moves- Psychic, StealthRock, Fire Blast, Protect
What can I say about this Azelf in a few short words....hmmm HE RAPES EVERYONE! Well almost everyone. All Leads have their weak points and this AZelf is no different. This Azelf will get Stealth Rocks up against everything bar Aerodactyl, who is 2HKO'd by Psychic anyways so who freaking cares? Basically I protect against Infernape and the rare Ambipom leads who allways use fake out first turn. Against other leads I will Stealth Rock (unless it's Aerodactyl then I proceed to 2HKO with psychic) When it's a lead Machamp out there I will usally psychic which has a 90% chance or something to KO. I have yet to run into scarf Roserade lead. The non Scarf Lead I set up rocks and let her either sleep me or set up her Toxic Spikes, which will Ruin my sweeping chances which is why I may consider Taunt on this Azelf to prevent that. Although Heracross will be even more of a beast when he is poisoned by the Toxic Spikes. Lead Metagross can be a bit of a problem so I will normally switch to Heatran after setting up rocks and let Azelf be Death Fodder later on in the match. I prefer to use this Azelf over the Standard one considering that when it does happen running into an opposing Azelf won't result in whoever wins the Speed tie gets to use their Stealth Rocks. I prefer not to leave something like that up to chance.
GYARADOS
Nature-Adamant
Item-Leftovers
Ablity-Intimidate
EV's 156Hp 72Atk 96Def 184Spe
Moves- Waterfall, StoneEdge, DragonDance, Taunt
Standard Bulky DD Gyarados. He covers the ground Weakness on this team as well as Water and to a lesser extent he protects against Baton Pass Teams and stupid things like Crocune, WishBliss, Status inducers and WishStall Vaporeon who lack HP Electric via taunt. I wish I could say more....oh yes he can also sweep a team after 2 DD's or more....yeah not as much to say about Gyarados as I did with Azelf. Gyarados is self explanitory!
HERACROSS
Nature-Adamant
Item-Choice Band
Ability-Guts
EV's 96HP 252Atk 160Spe
Moves- CloseCombat, Megahorn, StoneEdge, SleepTalk
This is the Best Choice Bander Ever!! can't decide if the opponent is going to use Will-O-Wisp or Toxic? Well send in CB Heracross he'l gather the status and then proceed to tear holes into the opponents team with a CB and Guts boost!...ha ok now i'm serious. CB Heracross is a monster add in the fact that any status infliction only benifits me (barring t-wave, but I hopefully won't switch into that on purpose) my opponent just can't get their footing right. The main goal of this Heracross is to just break down teams enough for Blaziken to sweep. Megahorn for STAB, CloseCombat for STAB, StoneEdge hits those damn Zapdos' and other levitators not named Bronzong. Sleep Talk is really just a way to abuse guts under sleep conditions...but I really haven't been put to sleep much so I might change it.
HEATRAN
Nature-Modest
Item-Leftovers
Ability-Flash Fire
EV's 252SpA 220Spe 36Hp
Moves- MagmaStorm, HiddenPower(GRASS), EarthPower, Substitute
I took the standard Trapper Heatran from the Analysis and put my own twist on it! 252 SpA so I can hit as hard as possible, 220 Spe because it beats Jolly T-tar and Adamant Breloom, 36 Hp for a little bulk. Basically people will expect the Scarf version so I sub as they switch. Swampert is a general switch to so I HP Grass as the Swampert will either switch or stay in to scout the attack. HP Grass has a small chance to OHKO if I nail it on the switch but if I put up a sub which I am likely to do considering i'm a cautious player then there is only like a 2% chance to OHKO.....thats not happening unless I get lucky. Earth Power hits oppossing Heatran OHKOing Scarf Varients quite often. I do relize that Dragonite and Flygon wall me. A MagmaStorm will help Depleat their health as I continue to attack with HP Grass or switch depending on the situation.
ROTOM C
Nature-Bold
Item-Leftovers
Ability-Levitate
EV's 252HP 164Def 92Spe
Moves- Discharge, ShadowBall, Will-O-Wisp, LeafStorm
This Rotom has a very important Job on this Team. KILL BULKY WATERS! Bulky water types such as suicune and Vaporeon are the bane of Blaziken's existance and therefore need to be destroyed, in order for Blaziken to sweep effectively. The Hp EV's for Bulk the Speed so I out Speed other Defensive Rotom and the rest into Defence to take physical hits better. LeafStorm destroys Swampert, ShadowBall hits Starmie and Gengar, Wil-O-Wisp for hitting Scizor and T-tar on the switch and Discharge for hitting Vaporeon and Suicune as well as having that nifty 30% Paralysis rate. This Spot was previously claimed by Sub Punch Dusknoir, but Rotom does his job even better and provided better team support.
BLAZIKEN
Nature-Rash
Item-LifeOrb
Ability-Blaze
EV's 252SpA 204Spe 52Atk
Moves- FireBlast, HiddenPower(ICE), SuperPower / BrickBreak, Agility
This is the Star of my Team! This Blaziken is Amazing and totally destroys opponents after an Agility. The EV's go Like this 252SpA=POWER! 52 Atk=MORE POWER TO SUPERPOWER! 204Spe=OUT SPEEDING EVERY POKEMON INCLUDING CHOICE SCARF POSITIVE BASE 100's AFTER AN AGILITY! I think you got my point, the moves allow me to do as much as possible with the move slots he has. HP ICE destroys Choice Scarf Flygon who loves to switch in expecting to out speed. Fire Blast rips apart steels and well anything that doesn't out right resist it. SuperPower OHKO's Blissey and Snorlax who will switch in thinking i'm running a fully special set. The only thing that stands in the way of Blaziken destroying another team and claiming me victory is those God awful Bulky Waters. Standard Swampert only takes 48% damage Maximum from a full powered SuperPower, While WishStall Vaporeon Takes only 53% Maximum. Suicune....ughh I don't even want to tell you how bad SuperPower is against Suicune. A full Power SuperPower only does 39% Maximum to CroCune. Offensive Suicune takes 63% maximum from a full powered SuperPower. It is Very important then for me to KO or severly Weaken these Bulky Waters Before He attempts to sweep. Blissey still is KO'd by a -1 SuperPower after Stealth rocks and if it has taken some previous Damage. So it might be better if those Bulky Waters are just plain dead before Blaziken Atempts tp sweep. I am Considering changing SuperPower For BrickBreak for more consistant damage...Comments?
I would also like to state that finding any room to put Spikes, on the feild let me know who I should Replace, as Blaziken can potentially sweep earlier if He had Stealth Rocks and a few Layers of Spikes.
Well Thats my Team any Suggestions and help would be appretiated!
Thanks for reading!
