Balanced team (Ranked 7th Pokemon Online)

I would firstly expand descriptions, but without looking too closely, it seems to be fairly solid. If Breloom is giving you that many problems, I would change Heatran to the RestTalk set, which is:

Heatran @ Leftovers
Calm | Flash Fire
248 HP/56 SAtk/204 SDef
Lava Plume
Earth Power
Rest
Sleep Talk

Switch in as it Spores, and Sleep Talk from there.

While I agree you should change Heatran's set, Sleep talk set isn't reliable at all, furthermore you have to rely on papa luck to make lava plume hit twice or it can sub+OHKO with punch ;p

Anyways rating by request from author.

Your team seems to be well knitted together and I like the idea of combining Sub torment tran with Swampert.

Threats:-
-LO Heatran utilizing Hidden power grass which is quite common
-LO Mixed Dragonite (not too big but worth considering)
-Basic Stall team featuring Blissey and co.

Recommendation no.1: Change Machamps ev spread to 252 hp 248 Att and 8 speed. You still outspeed other Machamps carrying 4 speed evs and also now you can actually destroy Gliscor leads with Ice punch+Bullet Punch Guaranteeing a OHKO.

Recommendation 2: Your team already has threats like Scizor covered so i'd recommend adding 'Earth power' on Celebi instead of Hidden power Fire as this will help you against heatran that you paralysed and if you predict correct, you can nail Infernape for alot of damage.

Recommendation 3: You can skip this but I feel that using Gengar as revenge killer(scarfed) is a magnet for set-up sweepers such as Dragonite, Scizor, CM Jirachi and Gyarados. I'd recommend that you make Jirachi you revenge killer

Jirachi@Choice Scarf
252Att/252Speed/4Hp
-Iron head
-Thunder Punch
-U-turn
-Zen Headbutt/Ice Punch/Fire Punch
Adamant/Jolly

now you can utilize Gengar in a way so not to distrupt your original team layout too much:

Gengar@Black Sludge
-Energy Ball/Pain split
-Focus Blast
-Substitute
-Shadow Ball
252Sp.att/252Speed/4Def
Timid

No major need for Pain split as you have recovery as well as your team deals with blissey well anyways.

Other than that nice team you got there man. GL

At the moment it seems breloom resist the moves on celebi since they are grass and ground. Try this one out it has swept teams late game for me because of the bulk.

Celebi @ Leftovers
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 36 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Grass Knot
- Hidden Power Fire
- Calm Mind
- Recover

Hi Juan, congrats on the high ladder peak! I'm going to admit that I like this team quite a lot already, as it looks quite solid even in its initial state. I do have a few suggested changes however, so I hope I'll be able to help you out!

Notable Problems

  • 135.png
    HP Grass Jolteon
In terms of offensive threats, opposing Jolteon variants that carry HP Grass can be somewhat troublesome. Swampert obviously won't be able to switch in safely, and every single member of your team takes significant damage from a LO Thunderbolt. Due to its extremely high speed stat, the only thing on your team that can actually outspeed it is Jirachi. Unfortunately, Jolteon is resistant to its STAB Iron Head, meaning you won't be able to KO it in some situations even with the extra flinch rate.

  • 242.png
    Stall
I think that you've got most offensive teams fairly well-covered, but Stall is a bit more of problematic. Despite the fact that some people some to think of Machamp as a stallbreaker, common Pokemon such as RestTalk Gyarados can or bulkier Rotom sets can switch into it without much of a problem. The rest of your team is very vulnerable to stall hazards such as phazing and entry hazard stacking; for example, Toxic Spikes severely limits the capabilities of Celebi, Swampert, and Machamp. Probably the only member of your team that does a good job of combating stall is SubSplit Gengar, but it shouldn't be relied on too much due to its frailty.

Suggestions

  • Change Heatran's set
The Heatran set that you're currently running can be excellent with proper support, but it's out of place on this team without access to entry hazards (it works best with Toxic Spikes). I've read suggestions of other sets such as RestTalk, but that variant of Heatran really should be used with Spikes support to give it something to abuse with Roar. Since your team is more offensively-based, I'd recommend using a Taunt LO Heatran in its place:

490.png

Heatran (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP/252 Spe/252 SpA
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Earth Power
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power Grass
- Taunt

This Heatran is great against just about any kind of opposing team. Offensive Pokemon will be hit hard by Heatran's strong Life Orbed attacks, while Stall teams have difficulty playing around it due to Taunt. Hidden Power Grass is a preferred option here for the ability to hit Swampert or incoming Water-types on the switch.

Other than that, most of the other team members seem just about fine the way they are. However, I would like to suggest a couple of minor changes to Jirachi's moveset. Trick is arguably the better option to use over U-Turn, as it allows you to cripple stall and any stat-uppers that you have trouble with. Zen Headbutt should also be replaced with Fire Punch, as this will give you a much better way to check opposing SD Lucario. Also, definitely switch to a Jolly instead of Adamant nature. Scarf Jirachi really needs max speed to help it function best, so Jolly is always the superior option.

Good luck with your team!

Hey Juan, I got your message and this team looks pretty cool. Some problems I notice however is that yes, Stall is a nasty problem- basically, you trick something with Jirachi and pray Gengar does his job. For this reason I'm going to agree with Faladran about the LO Heatran suggestion, as well as his Jirachi suggestions. You also are somewhat weak to Infernape, as well as opposing LO Heatran (both of the above can be stopped by Gengar but he is somewhat unreliable in this aspect).

The most easily replaceable member of this team is, in my opinion, Machamp. Besides just being an anti-lead, he does nothing, and because of his obscene usage people are preparing for him more and more. I think that LO Heatran is an excellent anti-lead and should be used as such, which gives you a free slot for Machamp's position. Bulky DD Gyarados would be awesome here! Not only does he alleviate your weakness to Infernape and Heatran, he also is a great stall breaker, provided Rotom is out of the picture, which isn't really a problem on this team.

That's all the advice I have, if you follow the changes you should be golden. Hope this helps!

Quick suggestion: if you're using Heatran in the lead position, make sure to use a Modest or Mild nature and Overheat instead of Fire Blast so that you can OHKO Machamp leads. You can keep Taunt if it works out better for you, but Explosion can also be good for taking out special walls such as Blissey or Snorlax. Other than that, everything looks good!
