Ditto

i can say that if Wobba was uber because it could get at least one guaranteed KO then ditto will definitely go there since it is (most of the time) a guaranteed SWEEP

Well, this will be more likely to happen if it coppies a +6 spe/atck Dragon with Outrage...then its pretty much GG.

Going back to the point about a double Ditto duel, what if you had a Ditto late game that didn't have Transform at all (aka, Move-Deleted Transform)? I'm not sure if this is possible in Gen V (I haven't tried this since GSC and getting rid of Magikarp's Splash, just for kicks), but it could save a bunch of unneeded turns in a Ditto-Ditto duel.

I mean, how likely will you be using Transform unless you're a lead against another Ditto? *Shrugs*

Feel free to shun me down because of my n00b-ness if this isn't possible. :P

Yeah, I'm pretty sure you can't remove your only move like that.

Speaking of Ditto Struggle matches, I suppose that the best way to train a Ditto outside of maxing out HP would be to max out Attack and put other points into Speed, right?

Because Ditto V. Ditto is always a possibility.

I think the slower Ditto would be first to use Struggle, so I think maybe a +ATT/-SP nature and EVs in HP, ATT and DEF?

As most have been saying... This gen is most likely going to be the generation for brawling. If Ditto is going to work how we think it is... Then I suspect people are going to try and have power right on that spot rather then stalling to charge up.. Because it seems with Ditto.... There's no point in buffing til you've made sure it's dead.

Nope, there's no way to get Ditto eggs. Even if there was you might not be able to breed the Dream World ability anyway.
Was confirmed you can breed dream world abilities... Well who knows maybe they made ditto breeding possible just to tick us off :P

We don't even have tiers yet so let's not go jumping to conclusions. But I still think scarf ditto combined with the larger number of pokes with access to Shadow Tag could give the metagame a higher emphasis on revenge killing. Additionaly, this ditto is hopeless against stall teams because of its mediocre 48 hp. And I still think that the HP is enough to prevent ditto from getting a full-blown sweep, considering that he will be fairly easy to revenge kill.

Seriously, stop theorymoning you guys. Ditto will be an amazing revenge killer but Uber? I Highly doubt that. It's basically forced to use scarf to be of any us, making it highly predictable, and a scarfed Ditto is relatively easy to check.

Correction. We have our next OU.

There's no reason to assume anything will be uber at this point, especially not with the tier itself being overhauled.

we will have to wait to see it in action
because if it copies stat boosts too i dont see the point of having set up sweepers

Exactly why there's no reason to assume anything.

Ditto is rather specialized, especially if it uses a Choice Scarf. It won't be on every team.

Transform's Gen IV description doesn't say anything about copying Substitutes.

It does appear to still copy enemies hiding behind a Sub, though. That may or may not still be true for Gen V Eccentric.

Copies Stat Boosts and Downs. Tested it with Intimidate -6. Ditto will copy down to the exact stat down/up as well. Although the Leer -1 made the damage slightly higher, so Atk -6 became Atk-5. Take Down will normally take out everything at that level, and even taking Ditto's lower level into consideration, the copied stats should take a larger chunk out.
