Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

The bicycle changes nothing about how much sweet scent actually increases the RNG, it just makes it 100% consistent of a frame advance.

I believe the only reason it wasn't a consistent +2 was because the lead Pokemon (the one following the trainer) moves when using sweet scent, causing advancement. It's kinda like gen 5 where saving advances the RNG because you take a knee when saving (NPC movement).

I have a question about ID/SID RNGing Platinum.
When is the ID generated? I know HGSS does it after Oak, is it the same for Platinum? (With Rowan instead of Oak)

So I guess I'll just have to advance the frame one more time with the phone call then. =/

Yuppers it's the same spot where he says his last sentence and your transformation into a midget >.<

Edit: RiddlinKid says it's at the end of the TV program. But I've always done it at the end of the sentence, sorry for the confusion >.<

Okay, so you Press A when the final sentence is on your screen when the timer reaches zero?

That's what I did/do.
Dunno about everyone else, it helps me to find a spot to hit A as trying to time the end of the timer with some point in between screens is rather difficult for me.

Okay, thanks for the intel! :pirate:

EDIT: Oh, and is there some kind of a list which shows the "Best" ID/SID combination with regard to spreads?

Well, kinda.
What you do is go to PokeRNG (program for finding wild catch seeds), you find a seed you'd like. Copy the PID to Pandora's Box inside RNG reporter, and it will tell you all the different ID/SIDs combos that will generate shiny for that PID value.

So now I now I know how to find the SID and ID that I'm looking for, how do I use the Paradox box to find two or more shiny spreads that I want to get at the same time (with the same SID and ID combo)?

If you looked through the file that has all the high IV shiny spreads, if it has a grouping of 2 or more, any of the PIDs will work to make the entire group shiny.

Can someone give a better explanation on how to use the Wonder Card PokeRNG program listed on the front page? The description provided in the first page is not very helpful at all, and I want my 10th Anniversary Mew =P

I hope this is not a wrong place to say this, and if it is please let me know... but, dont you people think it is un ethical and dishonest to abuse the game in such a way to get a shiny 31/31/31/31/31/31 pokemon with the right nature with so little effort?

1. What do you mean? You are very vague.
2. Uh? Last time I checked RNG isn't "so little effort," I dare you to try ID/SID abusing than going through all of the game to abuse the lati twins, than restarting the game ID/SID abusing yet again. Have fun bro.
3. RNG is neither unethical nor dishonest. We're working hard and long for our pokes, and it's not like we're using an external device to get whatever we want.

Quick question. I was using the same Seed and info on the onix that I used on the snorlax. But there was something that on the rng reporter and rng abuse that I'm wondering about.

When I was using the same seed on trying to rng abuse the onix in the wild some of the pokemon that I keep finding are female. But when I used the seed on the snorlax that I rng abuse, the snorlax became a male. So how do I know if the onix that I want is gonna be a male? Because I want a male onix. =/

I SUCK AT RNG BREEDING IN PLATINUM
BECAUSE IT'S A NIGHTMARE
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH

Trying to hit my delay of 673 while using an AR. Target frame is 7, most common calibrated frame was 7. Whenever my coin flips match up (which they rarely do), it is never on frame 7.
I don't even know what I'm doing wrong here.
I hate Platinum NPCs.
Please help me ;_;

Edit: Re-saving and re-calibrated, joy....

Well, when you have the main window of RNG reporter up, and have your seed generated showing all the different frames, to the very right of the frame it'll have like percentages like 75% 50% 25% 12.5% Those are basically meaning how much percentage of being male. So you're going to have to go look up what the gender ratio for Onix is, and look under what percentage he has for male, if it has F that means Onix is going to be female, if it's M it's going to be male.

Man! I figured that's what it meant. According to my rng reporter it says the percentage of the gender ratio is 50%: F, 12.5%: M, 25%: M, 75%: F.

But that doesn't explain how I keep getting a male snorlax instead of a female one because the percentage of getting a male is low. I guess I was lucky.

Those percentages are for females, not males. Snorlax is 12.5% female, so if it reads and M in that spot it will be male. If it reads F, it will be female.

Edit: Onix is 50% each gender, so Diabolico just look at the 50% column and if it says M your Onix will be male, F it will be female.

I did. The seed that I was using says 50% female. I was using the same seed on the snorlax but snorlax some how became a male. I guess it was just sheer luck? =/

Riddlinkid jut said snorlax has a 12.5% of being male and if RNG reporter gave you these gender ratios according to your last post 50%: F, 12.5%: M, 25%: M, 75%: F, then a Pokemon like snorlax with a 12.5% chance of being female will always come out male for that spread. It wasn't luck, RNG abuse rarely relies on luck outside of hitting your delay.
