Team Tox First Comp. Team

Opening/Intro:
Well what can I say, this is my very first RMT yes it does needs some tweaks that's why I decided to get help from the pros, this team is basically an offensive team. Well I can't say much because I don't know what to say so enough of boring you guys with this. I'll introduce you to the team.

I was getting tired of always dying due to toxic spikes being set up, and me lacking a rapid spinner tbh, I never really carried a rapid spinner in every team I made, so you could expect me getting phazed around all over the place and me getting poisoned and spikes/stealth rock taking it's toll on my pokemons so I decided sense this is going to be an offensive team I might as well base it around Toxicroak a very good pokemon that can take away toxic spikes and heal hp with water moves.

Soon I knew I needed something to cover off my psychic and Ground weakness so I decided Sazandora would make a nice partner which provided somewhat of a good synergy with Croak.

Soon after that I was open to Ice type attacks and Flying (not very uncommon now a days) in this gen Rotom underwent a huge change and most of its forms lost it's ghost type and got replaced by their special/unique move, Rotom-W being electric/water had resistances to ice and flying it was a nice fit into the team provided yet another synergy 1 being flying dangerous for Croak, 2nd being ice which Sazandora was weak to and has the ability levitate which is also awesome.

I knew my team was lacking speed and I needed something that can revenge kill Dragons or at least dent some pokemon I knew Weavile would be the perfect choice Good speed, good attack what else do you want from this furious critter? oh right a stab priority move Ice shard for those pesky dragons like Dragonite and Salamence.

2 of my pokemon were weak to Bug and I knew I needed something that can patch up that wretched grass and bug weakness I had I chose Urugamusu as it had 1/4 resistance to grass and a 1/2 to bug thanks to his unique typing it made a good fit on this team. Average sp attack is what I needed.

Sazandora wasn't doing it, it has a good typing and all but I was weak to fighting when I had Sazandora and a Roobushin without a bulk up could "Own" two of my pokemon without a bulk up so I decided to replace Sazandora with Celebi, Celebi also gave the same synergy to Croak but it also did its part better then Sazandora now with a fighting resistance.

And now for the finishing part I needed a lead, a lead with good bulk and can set up any entry hazard, Omastar was the man for the job, sporting nice bulk and good hp it allowed me to set up 2 layers of my choice, thanks to almost no pokemon being an entry hazard lead due to magic mirror it allowed me to run this lead successfully.

Inside the team:
139.png

Chuck Norris/Omastar @ Leftovers
Ability:Shell Armor
Nature:Bold
EVs:252 HP, 176 Def, 80 Spd
Moves:
~Surf
~Toxic Spikes
~Stealth Rock
~Ice Beam

The common utility Omastar also my Lead and a good one too very bulky and not to forget it's average sp attack. this guy has saved me a lot especially from a person that once trapped me on my pokemon that got befriended by Aianto with his Shanderra he had +6 Sp def and Atk the person was very cheap then I had to bring in Chuck Norris A.k.a Omastar to obliterate a shanderra with a critical surf >:), well anyways my lead just sets up either save it if my opponent has some pokemon that might be a nuisance to my team and use it as a stall fodder in the end if needed to kill a pokemon that has set up on me.

454.png

ToxicChamp/Toxicroak @ Balloon
Ability:Dry Skin
Nature:Jolly
Ev's:252 Atk, 4 Spd, 252 Speed
Moves:
~Swords Dance
~Stone Edge
~Karate chop
~Sucker punch

The star of the team capable of sweeping an entire team that is unprepared, persons might think an Eq might take this guy down like nothing and then they send in their "counter" and Eq'ing me later to find out they let Croak set up on them and continue to sweep the team. Jolly was chosen over adamant as it allowed me to out speed certain pokemon, what can I say hes also good in the rain as dry skin allows him to heal hpand also another thing, it can take away the toxic spikes the enemy team laid on my side.

Changes willing to make:Nothing, so far so good has brought me many wins and comebacks.

461.png

Weavile @ Choiceband
Ability:Pressure
Nature:Jolly
Ev's:40 Hp, 252 Atk , 216 Speed\
Moves:
~Ice Shard
~Ice Punch
~Low Kick
~Pursuit

Weavile functions as a strong revenge killer providing a priority move especially for dragons it also checks off Celebii's weaknesses such as Gengar and other ghost pokemon, Low kick for Steel types trying to wall this also good against T-tar which is another threat to my team.

Changes willing to make:Currently none unless I can think of a better pokemon that functions the same way.

479-wash.png

Rotom-W @ Choice Specs
Ability:Levitate
Nature:Modest
Ev's:252 Sp. Atk, 252 Speed, 4 Spd
Moves:
~Trick
~Hidden power [Fire]
~Hydro Pump
~T-bolt

I saw this moveset somewhere in another RMT (MAJOR PROPS FOR THE GUY THAT POSTED ANOTHER CHOICE FOR SHADOW BALL ^_^) and I knew I had to try this move set this guy basically shuts down a staller causing me problems or crushes the opponent with a stab hydro pump it's defenses are Average as well so it can take hits Hidden power fire has saved me a lot from threats such as Scizor and other steel types.

Changes willing to make:None, nothing but pure win.

121.png

Starmie @ Leftovers
Ability:Natural Cure
Nature:Timid
Ev's:252 HP, 4 Def, 252 Speed
Moves:
~Rapid Spin
~Surf
~Recover
~Thunderbolt

Starmie took the place of Celebi as I lacked a rapid spinner overall it has done it's job quite well, scaring of Gyarados and Shandera though I had to lose power, I can now make my team survive more, and yes it was worth it sorry celebi but this is your replacement, for now.

637.png

Urgamoth @ Life Orb
Ability:Swarm
Nature:Modest
Ev's:252 Sp.ATK, 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves:
~Butterfly Dance
~Bug Buzz
~Flame Dance
~Hidden power [Ground]

A very strong pokemon that must be removed as quickly as possible before it sets up, this pokemon has brung me a lot of victories from 2-5 to a 2-0 it provides good coverage
and thanks to it's somewhat broken set up move it becomes a huge threat especially with the Sp invested nature.

Changes willing to make:My Team lacks a rapid spinner and it really hurts Urgamoth to come in on stealth rock and take 50% of its health away making it yet another fodder unless it can Butterfly dance and take 2 or 3 pokemon with him.

I need opinions, please be free to post your thoughts thanks!

Former Members:

251.png

Celebi @ Life Orb
Ability:Natural cure
Nature:Timid
Ev's:252 Sp Atk., 252 Speed, 4 HP
Moves:
~Nasty Plot
~Earth Power
~Hidden power [Fire]
~Energy Ball

Celebi is here because it packs a lot of resistances to Toxicroak and Rotom-W not only that but it also scares away water pokemon and has a surprise for Shandera it packs Earth power no matter what Shandera can not outspeed Celebi Bar Scardera and destroys it without switching out, Celebi also works as my Status absorber coming from a Blissey or any other staller.

Changes willing to make:I might change Energy ball to psychic as Roobushin is popping all over the place and is becoming a nuisance.

THREAT LIST:
KEYS:

  • A High threat
  • Somewhat a threat
  • Not a Threat
248.gif
:Tyranitar is not a threat at all (BAR -DDTar)Either Celebi or Weavile take care of it with Energy ball/Earth Power/Low Kick as well as Rotom with Hydro pump.

091.gif
:Cloyster could be considered a threat due to his new set up move (Shell break) I have dealt with it as it mainly carries life orb, Toxicroak comes in Sucker punches, + Toxic Toll + Recoil pretty much finishes it as SR breaks its sash.

609.png
:Shanderra Not a threat at all as it can't out speed Celebi (BAR SCARFDERA) Celebi finishes off with either a +2 Earth power or sometimes a non boosted Earth power finishes it, or a pursuit coming from a Weavile and last but not least Rotom-W.

530.png
:Doryuuzu, somewhat a threat but not as much to this team, but it's not a joke once it's running on the sand but my Toxicroak is the only thing that resists rock slide and x scissor, with balloon intact I can finish any Doryuuzu with Drain punch.

I'm pretty new here, but lets get to rating:
Looks like a rather solid team you've got there, you've got good team synergy with each member helping each other, but I've got just one few minor suggestion:

Replace Karate chop with drain punch on toxicroak. This will help you survive just a little longer, and drain punch has now improved base power to 75 and PP to 10(16 with pp max). Also, I recommend changing the spread to 18 HP / 252 Atk / 38 Def / 200 Spe / the 200 speed allows you to outspeed heatran, and anything of that level, it's pointless investing more since anything that uses earthquake or anything super effective will be a lot faster. Also, replace balloon with lum berry, so you can deal with burungeru when they try to burn you. As mentioned above, you're capable of outrunning heatran, just bring it in when you have a safe switch, SD up and then drain punch/sucker punch your way through.

This is MY first time rating a team and I hope this helps! Good luck in the future

You have weavile and Urgamoth with no rapid spin support...though finding a good Gen5 rapid spinner is a challenge, but you should have one, at least for Urgamoth, without it he gets 5 turns to sweep tops thanks to life orb (rather than 10 if he somehow managed to come in at 100%) Also I notice you have THREE stat boosting sweepers, this is a bit of overkill imo as your opponent will not usually give you that much time to setup. I wanna say try out Starmie in place of celebi, as it can generally also scare away water types thanks to carrying Thunderbolt, with the added advantage of being even faster than celebi, it even has the same ability! (Not to mention Shandera isn't likely to risk a surf against it)

All together a decent team, but it's lacking a few things, like rapid spin and something to break down stall teams.

Good suggestion but in doing so I also get a thunder weakness, still worth trying thanks for the suggestion!

I agree with Starbomber109, your team needs spin support, or even just a taunting lead, I didn't really put much thought into this one but you might wanna try a lead forretress instead of your omastar lead, perhaps give this set a shot?

Forretress@Occa Berry/Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP 112 Atk 114 Def
-Spikes / Stealth rocks
-Rapid Spin
-Payback / Earthquake
-Explosion

This is a good set and all but you see I rely on Omastar as it sports good special attack and can 2hko a Dragonite without SP Atk investments as well as Blaziken.
