If my Pokemon enters a battle holding no item, and uses Acrobatics, is the move power 55 or 110?

Explanation: The move reminds me of the ability Unburden, in which an item needs to be LOST before any boost takes effect.

No. Acrobatics doesn't have to be activated like an ability. Holding an item =55 base power. Not holding an item = 110 base power.

Here's a question: If I use acro bling, does acrobatics have 110 base power on the turn the flight jewel is used? Or are you still holding it during the attack?

If using acrobatics with a flying jewel, the Jewel is consumed before the Attack. Wich means acrobat gets 110Bp and is boosted by 1.5x so you have a one time 165 BP attack.

Listen folks, Iv'e decided I have to make a team based around Nasty Plot Lucario.

1) What Pokemon fair well with Lucario or can aid a Lucario sweep?
2) As far as Pokemon I thought about go, do Suicune, Kyurem, or Froslass work?
3) Is Thunder Wave support from Latias helpful?

Rotom-W and Gliscor both work well in checking Gliscor and Roobushin. Stealth Rock support is helpful. Suicune is pretty bad in this generation because if it uses HP Fire to hit Nattorei, it gets walled by Water-types. Kyurem has poor defensive synergy with Lucario. Froslass can work, setting up Spikes to wear down the opponent, but you have to watch out for that Fire-type weakness.

Thunder Wave support is helpful but not necessary because either you have Vacuum Wave or HP Ice, meaning you either hit Doryuuzu/Terakion or the Genies/Gliscor.

Alrighty, thanks! And not even Surf??

Surf is not necessary when going through the game (i think). BUT: I recommend having a pokemon in the box (or a pokemon in your party) having Surf, because without it, you miss two complete routes, some ledgendaries, a LOT of items, etc. Surf is not a bad move, so why not teach it (if you have a poke which can learn it, which is quite likely)

148 Spe EVs with a +Spe nature to outspeed Modest Scarf Glaceon (can't ever outspeed Timid) and by extension neutral base 120s. 136 Spe EVs if just neutral base 120s.

@ Dark Froslass: We don't have official tiers below OU yet, so no. But I would bet that Magcargo will become NU once that happens, as it only got Shell Break this gen, and it's outclassed by (Insert Shell Break user) as a Shell Breaker.

Will Smogon be publishing usage stats anytime soon?

Am I just overhyped, or is Shubarugo (blabla new names which I don't know) really underrated? It's a great pokemon, with solid stats. It lacks speed, but that doesnt really matter, when you see its bulk.

Reversal is the only move it has that can do more than hit steels NVE with any sort of power.

Does that explain why it's bad?

Im training a medicham and im wondering, whats the better physical psychic move, zen headbutt or psycho cut?

Zen headbutts stronger and can cause flinch, but psycho cut is more reliable and i think it has a higher citical hit ratio

This is a fair tradeoff when you can tank 2 Choice Specs Surfs from Latios while still 2HKOing Max/Max Bold Suicune. If you have an issue with steels, you could always pair it with Heatran and call it a day.

Over/underrated is all based on opinion, to be honest. To be fair, I personally think Scizor is overrated and Shubarugo is underrated. The former boasts strong priority and Brick Break/Superpower, while the latter has considerable bulk, more power, and an equally strong Pursuit when it matters.

Shubarugo's only issue is the lack of an actual movepool. Your only options are X-Scissor, Megahorn, Iron Head, Pursuit, Tweeneedle, Rock Smash, Return, and Swords Dance. You know something's awfully wrong when you need to run Rock Smash for actual coverage.

Is Magcargo really that bad of a Pokemon to be trashed into NU?
Poor stat distribution and one of the worst possible defensive type combinations (making its only good stat useless). All it really has going for it is a decent movepool, which is ruined by the fact that it will probably never get a chance to use any of those moves. In other words, yes.

Does anyone know a good cleric/hazer and/or a good spin blocker to use on a Sandstorn team consisting of Hippowdon, Doryuuzu, Cradily, Skarmory, and Garchomp? I've been playing with Sandstorm since the first days of 4th Gen, but I have yet to find a good cleric/spinblocker that doesn't mind the sand, fighting types (for the cleric) and hard hitters/taunters.

I guess a Golurk would fit well in there. It does well as a spin-blocker, does well against fighting types(especially Terakion who looks rather threatening to this team). However, it magnifies your ice weakness and makes you susceptible to Hail teams(they're rare but they're there), so I think a Nattorei may work in place of Cradily.

What's the simplest, most effective way to hack check trades I have received on the GTS? I have a flashcard, so I can obtain the .pkm files.
