Most Generation PRNG Help / Information

I have a few more questions before I start rng abusing my own shiny entei.

Do I need to use synchronizer? No

What method on the reporter do I need to use to rng abuse the entei? Method 1

And where do I save in the burned tower before I start rng abusing the entei? In the basement floor just before where the dogs are located. You can check just save before the step you need to take that will make them run away.

How many frames does taking the step close to the dogs to make them run advance the frame?
none that step you take to make them run isn't considered an RNG advancement since your activating an event. Although, the dogs do have their own starting frames which are listed in the second post of this thread.

Okay. I'm going to capture entei.

And If I haven't caught Raikou yet, does that mean Entei's starting frame is 6?

So yeah.. obviously by the post count, a new-ish poster. New to the whole RNGing thing as well, so I've been reading around the thread a lot, along with some other written guides/video guides out there. I was just curious of something.

I'm guessing the hardest part of RNGing is just knowing when to hit "A" or "Continue" on the pokemon games, right? At least that's what I've run into. Closest I've gotten to my seed for say.. a shiny Charmander (just to see if I could do it right) was around 4 delay off, but on the same seconds.. (for instance: 19:15:50). I had RNGReporter to +/- 99 and at a 5 second differential (just because I'm not great on the delay thing), but I was fairly close there.

So.. not so much asking for help totally as I *think* I'm doing it right. I just suppose I'm messing up on which beep to hit "A" at to load my game when it comes to stuff like PikaTimer and toastplusone's timer. Ah well. I just need to keep on, keepin' on with it to get the hang of it.

You guys do awesome work around here. Keep up the fine work!

Should I RNG on my R4i gold or should I RNG on a normal game card? This is because I don't know when I'm supposed to press A on both of the timers. I'm wondering this because I haven't been "hitting my times", and I'm wondering if it's me or if it's the R4. So if anyone RNGs on an R4, please tell me what you do. Or if anyone else can answer, please help me. Thanks in advance!

P.S. : If this helps, I just started RNGing.

Can someone mirror Radio Seed? The download link in the original post is broken. Also, there's a band named "radioseed" apparently, so any google searches just result in mp3 search engine garbage.

On to my real question - how do I switch from no radio to bottom-right station when advancing the frame inside the champions room? Do I just drag the little radio circle back and forth from the middle to the bottom-right? I'd like to just track the frames as they're advancing with RadioSeed, but unless someone mirrors it, I'm seemingly dead in the water.

I would actually recommedn RNGing in your R4i since you skip the problem of having to put an AR to help you out, and there's not really difference, and if you are in your R4 then you have to calibrate for it because flashcards tend to has a better "resolution" or whatever is called, they process the emulation of the ROM faster than an Actual Game Cart if I remember correctly

Ok this is a question on egg PIDRNG. If I have a shiny egg on frame 2,how do I get it. Joey calls advance the egg frames by 2, how do you advance it by 1 ??

Pikatimer is out of its head i've setted it up i started but when second timer finishes. İm still on the press start button page. I've calibrated my secs are 13 always but on pika timer it doesnt work it goes way too fast

Use Toast's timer, and don't pick a delay that is close or exact to your calibrated, always pick something significantly higher, e.g. your calibrated is 500, pick something 600+, gives you more control and you will never run out of time.

It's kinda tough to not hit any other stations when dragging. I'd like to just track the frames as they're advancing with RadioSeed, but unless someone mirrors it, I'm seemingly dead in the water.

EDIT: I found RadioSeed in my Recycle Bin, thank the gods. I'll likely post about my experiences RNG'ing for roamers in HG/SS to flesh out that section a little with a few more questions answered.

Quoting myself, I have to work and study now, so is important for me some guidance. Thanks.

Hey guys, I'm looking for someone to teach me how to RNG in Heart Gold. I've read the info here, watched bearsfan's videos, but I can't understand him since my english is not that good for listening. Thanks in advice and sorry if I'm asking in the wrong thread, I don't know where else should I go.

Whenever I enter the game world, what is my starting frame? I know it depends on the number of roamers, so :

If I have no roamers is my starting frame 0 or 1?
If I have 1 roamer, is my starting frame 1 or 2?
If I have 2, is it 2 or 3?

Concrete example : If I want to catch something through sweet scent in grass which is on frame 28, and I have 2 roamers, do I need to call Elm 26 times or 25 times before I sweet scent?

In HG/SS, it's pretty much mandatory to kill off all roamers before you Sweet Scent. They advance the frame very unpredictably, and your calls to Elm will likely be completely incorrect because of it.
