Gen V 1337's

Okay, i'm actually on a role with team building this gen, making 2 teams in about a month. This one is actually good. Dkfoo and I made this team. He is the one who made the crazy good gen V team that peaked #1 on the ladder. This team beat that team 1/2 times when we finalized it. When this team won, the score was 4-0, and when Dk's team won, it was 3-0.

So without further ado, here are the Gen V 1337's!

In Depth:

@ Leftovers, Torrent
Lax Nature, 248 HP, 216 Def, 44 SpD.
Stealth Rock
Boil Over
Earthquake
Roar

This is the poke that sets up my rocks and is a phaser. He is actually incredably bulky when hit with neutral moves and NVE moves. He can also hit pretty hard with EQ and Boil Over STABs. I NN'd him Obama cause he's the boss.

@ Poison Orb, Poison Heal
Jolly Nature, 4 HP, 252 Atk, 252 Spd
Spore
Substitute
Focus Punch
Seed Bomb

Breloom (NN'd Muhammad) can pretty much destroy any poke, and damage another in one substitute. Spore allows it to put pokemon to sleep, and on the switch they can substitute or focus punch, then switch out. It also covers water and dark type attacks for Arcanine and Desukan. Also, because of Poison Orb, Breloom is my status absorber. I dont know why people dont use this as frequently in gen V than in gen IV.

@ Choice Band, Shell Armor
Adamant Nature, 252 HP, 252 Atk, 4 SpD
MegaHorn
IronHead
KnockOff/Pursuit (still thinking about)
Poison Jab

Shubarugo is perfect for choice band, because he is slow and has decent defenses. Stab MegaHorn and Ironhead is also great with his 607 atk stat with the choice band. I decided to give him Adamant Nature because he doesnt use his speed, so there is no reason to give him Jolly. I NN'd him Camelot because he looks like a knight.

arcanine.png
@ Leftovers, FlashFire
Lax Nature, 240 HP, 28 Atk, 168 Def, 72 Spd
Will-O-Wisp
Overheat
CloseCombat
Extremespeed

If you couldn't tell already, my team is bulky offense, which is why some pokemon that you would normally see as sweepers have defensive EV spreads. You could call Arcanine (NN'd Mozilla, Thnx Shofu!) my defensive wall because of Will-O-Wisp against phsyical sweepers. It can also switch in on a fire attack and Overheat, and trick the opponent when he brings in a SpD wall with CC. He also covers Swampert's x4 weakness to grass, which could effect the game a lot in terms of sweeping capabilities.

@ Choice Specs, Mummy
Modest Nature, 252 Hp, 4 Def, 252 SpA
Grass Knot
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Hidden Power (Fighting)

This pokemon is probably the best underused poke in 5th generation, because of its incredable defenses, and decent HP and SpA stats. Like Shubaguro, this pokemon is slow, making him excellent for specs. Desukan (NN'd Windsong for my buddy) has great coverage, and can hit any pokemon in the game for neutral damage. I have Grass Knot for heavy SpD walls like Chansey, Blissey, and Lax to deal some damage before switching out. Desukan's ability also cripples pokemon like Gliscor when they knock out Desukan.

sprite.php
@ Leftovers, Pressure
Modest Nature, 112 HP, 44 Def, 252 SpA, 100 Spd
Roost
Thunder Wave
Thunderbolt
Hidden Power (Ice)

Zapdos (NN'd Catrina, for Hurricane Catrina) fills up all of the holes in my team. He takes grass attacks, ground attacks, and flying attacks with ease, which cripple most of my team, and my other pokemon take ice and rock attacks also with ease. Zapdos is a great sweeper because of his healing move, Roost. He also has the deadly boltbeam combo, with a 383 SpA stat. I gave him Thunder Wave to give Desukan and Shubarugo speed advantage on switch ins, and it gives Breloom a chance to set up Substitute and fire off some focus punches and Seed Bombs.

That was the gen V 1337s. Although i'm sure that you havent seen most of these pokemon frequently, together, they make a deadly weapon!

Edit: After testing some pokes, I decided to switch out Desukan with Shandera, and Cloyster with Arcanine, as Cloyster can rapid spin and set up spikes for some of my other pokes, and he can sweep rather easily. As for the Shandera switch, it was because Shandera has the same max SpA as Desukan with Specs, and he's a lot faster.

Bump, i updated my team. Sorry, no new pictures for the new pokes, just make sure you read the bottom.
