MY first ever competative team

Well this is my first ever competitive team so I'm expecting a lot of criticism as I'm still learning every day, my items are probably quite badly selected :$.

Please don't hold back but don't flame and troll me.

It's an OU team and I've tried to explain my decisions as best as possible.

Fortress @ Leftovers
Ability: Sturdy
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 8 SpD
Nature: Relaxed
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Rapid Spin
- Explosion

I choose this as a starter to lead with the entry hazards as they always help and earthquake is there to hit switch in such as heatrans or for extra damage whilst been bulky once hazards are up.I'm carrying toxic on blissey to didn't feel the need to take toxic spikes over stealth rock. Game plan is to set up the rocks and spikes when possible then switch out and start to cause damage. Also rapid spin helps clear entry hazards against me. Sturdy prevents any 1-hit KO's.

Blissey @ Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Nature: Bold
- Seismic Toss
- Toxic
- Wish
- Protect

This is my special wall and I choose this set and the stall with thunder wave, toxic and protect always works well and of course I can always wish or carry a wish over to other pokemon to heal up. This could help fortress if it takes to much damage before setting up entry hazards

Gengar @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
- Shadow Ball
- Focus Blast
- Thunder Bolt
- Explosion

This is my special attack gengar which can work works brilliant on switch ins to Blissey not been hit my fighting types and then even hit back hard or sleep what they switch into however I'm not sure whether to keep sleep or go with substitute which allows me to stall sometimes.

Latios @ Life Orb
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Nature: Timid
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- Hidden Power Fire

This dragon type is amazing it allows me to out speed all other dragon types I think which works out well and I have managed to sweep 3 or 4 pokemon from full health sometimes with this set.

Empoleon @ Air Balloon
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 16 HP / 252SpA / 240 Spe
Nature: Modest
- Agility
- Surf
- Ice Beam
- Grass Knot

This covers some weakness's I spotted in my team and often is used to take out the likes of infernapes and such.

Conkeldurr @ Flame Orb
Ability: Guts
EVs: 120 HP / 252 Attack / 136 SpD
Nature: Adamant
- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Payback

This is my physical set to hit hard against those who try and come in with special walls and get them out the way quickly to allow my special sweepers to step in.

In testing this team has performed well so far with latios sweeping a lot and them entry hazards from fortress paying off although I've heard entry hazards aren't used as much they still help me out.

I'm wondering why your Latios is SA trained, but doesn't have but one special attack? I see the Dragon Dance, but I think you should go for a special attack instead of HP fire. Say, maybe Psychic to take out those annoying Mienshaos. Good team other than that, though what is Conkeldurr supposed to outrun with the speed EVs?

The Conkeldurr is from the OU analysis section and is used since it doesn't not need to rely on HP since its so bulky anyway.

RMT Rules said:
3. Have some actual words in your post beyond your six Pokemon and their moves. Not following this makes your post quite boring to read and rate. All Pokemon should have a good reason for being in your team anyway, so why not post that reason? If you are having trouble with this one, start by giving an explanation for each team member. Why are they there? What role do they serve? How do you get them in? Then, give an explanation of how you would open with the team and how you would go about using it. All of these things help people rate your team and allow us to offer more helpful advice.
Your descriptions are lacking, which puts you in violation of the rule above. Please elaborate more on each team member - about 3 or 4 solid sentences per member is a good goal to reach for. The RMT archive contains some examples of well-written RMTs. If you fix your descriptions, PM me with the updates and I'll be happy to unlock your thread.
