Offensive Rage - First RMT

Hi, this is my first RMT. This has been one of my favorite teams to use recently, and together with my other teams I have been fairly successful on both on Smogon's PO server and Pokemon Online's own server. My team styles have always leant towards stall, but this one is leaning towards offense. Of course, i would like to improve my teams, so i will be posting my other teams in the near future. Feedback would be greatly appreciated!

IN DEPTH

Azelf

482_azelf_front_norm.png

-Trick
-Stealth Rock
-Zen Headbutt
-U-turn
Item: Choice Scarf
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe

Not your bog standard lead Azelf. He sets up Stealth Rock for for the team, and cripples a potentially troublesome wall for me. Trick's usefulness is almost endless - it can rob walls of leftovers or Pory2 and Chansey of their Eviolite, and give 'em a useless scarf instead. In addition, the scarf that he tricks onto another poke can be used late game by Lucario to set up a Swords Dance when the opponent is locked into something that he resists. I chose to make him physically based because i wanted U-turn on the set and maxing Sp.Atk for just one attacking move seemed like a waste, so I replaced Psychic with Zen Headbutt.

Yeah. Azelf is awesome.

Kyurem

646-frame1.png

-Draco Meteor
-Ice Beam
-Focus Blast
-Dragon Pulse
Item: Choice Scarf
Nature: Timid
EVs: 252 SpA/4 SpD/252 Spe

Yeah baby. Two Scarfers on the same team. The original team had Breloom on it, but it really didn't do anything for me. Kyurem is my main dragon killer, and smacks stuff with Draco Meteor, or if the steel switch-in is truly obvious, Focus Blast. Ice beam rapes a Dragonite without Multiscale active - otherwise i have real problems with him. I'm thinking maybe replace Dragon Pulse with HP fire, for scizor?

Unfortunately he fails against other scarf dragons due to his lower base speed, so i'm thinking of replacing him with a scarfchomp.

Scizor

212-male-frame1.png

-U-turn
-Bullet Punch
-Pursuit
-Superpower
Item: Choice Band
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Technician
EVs: 248 HP/252 Atk/8 Spe

Three Choice users on the same team. He's just a standard CB scizor. He acts as a scout, revenge killer and defensive pivot... all at the same time. Pursuit has been awesome for me - the amount of times i've switched him into Chandelure anticipating that it's scarfed, and smashing him as he runs is hilarious. Aside from that, he removes Gengar and the Latis from the picture as well, who otherwise are pretty scary to face. Tyranitar also flees from him, letting me U-turn to scout. Bullet Punch trolls frail sweepers who otherwise would wipe my team of the face of the earth (i'm looking at you, tornadus)

Gliscor

472_gliscor_front_norm.png

-Earthquake
-Acrobatics
-Fling
-Protect
Item: Toxic Orb
Nature: Impish
Ability: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP/184 Def/72 Spe

Gliscor is just incredible. He walls all physical sweepers not packing a super effective move silly (well, maybe not CB v-create Victini, but thats just weird). I'm pretty sure everybody reading this will know what this gliscor set does. Unfortunately, things that you would normally wall like mienshao and landorus are now running freak Hidden power ices. Bah. Protect scouts for these hidden powers, as well as ice beam from tyranitar. Gliscor can also poison a troublesome opponent for me - but unfortunately i only get one shot, so it's all down to good anticipation and prediction (so not much good for me!)

Rotom-W

479wash.png

-Thunderbolt
-Hydro Pump
-Substitute
-Pain Split
Item: Leftovers
Nature: Modest
EVs: 128 HP/252 SpA/128 Spe

SubSplit Rotom-W. I used to run Will-o-Wisp in place of Substitute, but with the amount of switches this guy caused, i decided that going for substitute to put my opponent in a difficult position was the best option. I originally put him here to remove opposing Gliscor and Gyarados, as they were giving me trouble to no end. He also counters other bulky grounds beautifully for me, removing more obstacles to a successful Lucario sweep. He's also my main rain team counter, with thunderbolt whacking water types silly, and hydro pump in the rain is insane.

Anyway, one of the main questions I need answered by this is: Lefties or Life Orb? ATM i'm using Lefties and the recovery is very useful, but i'm wondering if the extra damage output would be more beneficial. Thoughts?

Lucario

448-frame1.png

RAWR

-Swords Dance
-Close Combat
-Extremespeed
-Crunch
Item:Life Orb
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Inner Focus
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe

Lucario is my late game sweeper. My team is mainly geared around removing his counters. I simply look for opportunities to setup a Swords Dance on a switch or a choice locked resisted attack, then proceed to smash up the opponent's (hopefully) weakened team. I run Adamant because hopefully I will have removed anything faster before I bring out Lucario, and i really need that extra power for Extremespeed to KO bulkier stuff like Garchomp. I'm thinking of maybe replacing him with Bisharp for a stronger priority move, however Sucker punch is pretty unreliable.

Main points to comment on:

-Should I replace Kyurem with a faster scarf Dragon (like chomp) or Mamoswine?
-Leftovers or Life Orb on Rotom-W?
-Lucario or Bisharp?
-Should i switch my Gliscor to a Gli-pass set? This would make sweeping with Lucario less dependent on Extremespeed as Gliscor can pass Rock Polish to him, plus i can afford to run another coverage move over Swords Dance because i'm passing it to him.

Alright, that's it. If you have any helpful comments, please do post them!

Your team is pretty good.

For Azelf, I wouldn't run a Choice Scarf lead with Stealth Rocks on it. I find that it tends to limit what I can do and lets the opponent dictate what I do with Azelf. I would just change Trick to Taunt, and run Focus Sash over Choice Scarf

For Kyurem, it looks like the normal set. For the last slot, I would proably run HP Electric over HP Fire so you can hit the bulky waters that are going to try to come in on this set. I would also move the 4 SDef ev's to HP.

Other than that, everything looks pretty good, although someone else may want to check it more because I haven't run any of the last four but Rotom.

Good Luck

Thanks for the rate.

For azelf, i love having the element of surprise, so i'll keep my scarf. Tricking a scarf onto pory2 or chansey is just too good to pass up. Plus, focus sash leads are pretty bad this gen due to preview.

I'm pretty sure a neutral DM does more than a 2xSE hidden power, but it does have the benefit of not lowering the Sp.atk. However i think HP fire would be more useful to smash scizor/forretress/ferrothorn.
