It's easier to do a general blanket ban than an ability ban because that brings up the question "where do we draw the line"?

yea extremespeed is a higher priority move than most the others, it's either 3 or 2.
Extremespeed is +2, Mach Punch is +1. Extremespeed was +1 in previous generations; this change is new to Black and White.

Such a question is not a problem if it's so easy to answer. It's just that everyone in PR has refused to even bother trying.

Adamant no item X-Scissor against 0-0 Modest Hydreigon = 67-79%
Jolly no item X-Scissor against 0-0 Modest Hydreigon = 60-71%

Adamant Choice Band X-Scissor against 0-0 Modest Hydreigon = 99-117%
Jolly Choice Band X-Scissor against 0-0 Modest Hydreigon = 91-107%

So to survive Adamant Choice Band X-Scissor, you need a minimum of 224 HP or 152 Def EVs if you use a neutral nature

224 HP or 152 Def doesn't sound bad. I was going to design a Hydreigon that could take on an Excadrill via Flamethrower. But I'd be sacrificing Speed for HP, since I'd put the remaining stats into SpA. In that case I might go the Defense route and spread it 252 SpA, 152 Def and drop the remaining, what, 104? points in Speed.

I guess my new question is: Does this sound viable to everyone?

I have a male Boldore, and a female Tyrannitar and the two "prefer to play with others". I am trying to get a larvitar with stealth rock. What seems to be the problem?

And my friend wants to know does an IV mod turn a pokemon into a "bad egg"?

Thanks in advance for the answers.

Tyranitar is not in the Mineral group, whereas Boldore is.

As with the second question, I dunno.

Boldore and Tyranitar are in different Egg Groups. You'd need an Aggron or something else in the Monster Egg Group. Also, IIRC, both the male and female would need to know Stealth Rock since it's a (past) TM move but not an egg move. Anyone, please correct me on that if need be.

im pretty sure stealth rock is now an egg move for him now so only the male parent needs to know the move. but ya he doesn't have any 5th gen parents that learn the move by level up you have to either transfer one that does or breed it on to aggron or bastiodon.

How come my rating doesn't show up on the GBU? I've been in well over 90 Singles Battles, however, my rating still only appears as dashes. (If it means anything, about 30 people have D/C's on me)

Yes. If you alter the IV's/exceed the EV limit/change the nature/change the ability of a Pokémon, then it will appear as a "Bad Egg" in PBR; but the Pokémon will be considered as hacked anyway no matter where it's used.

Oh, and it won't let you use it in Random Matchup or offer it in GTS/GTS Negotiations, IIRC.

I was wondering exactly when the healing from the ability Regenerator occurs...

If a Pokemon with this ability switches out when targeted by Pursuit, does it take damage first and then get healed?

Also with this ability, if the Pokemon switches into Stealth Rock / Spikes, does the healing or damage occur first?

It only heals you after you switch out. You'd take Pursuit damage then be healed, and you don't heal at all when you switch-in.

is impish a good nature for encore/taunt/substitute/leech seed whimsicott?
I don't believe Leech Seed scales with either attack or special attack, so yes. Although, I'm curious, why not go for a Special Defense boosting nature? Whimsicott has 10 points less Special Defense, and seeing as fire and ice are typically special attacks, and common grass-type weaknesses, it could be more efficient to boost its Special Defense a bit.

That might be worth considering, with Cotton Guard over Taunt.

X-Scissor Excadrill says hi.
So does every poke with Brave Bird
The metagame as it is today is slightly focused on Physical moves (IMO), so when I invest in both defenses, I usually try to make them equal, or more towards Defense. Of course it depends on the type of your mon and your team. I'd go for 50/50 on Whimsicott

Hey, so i'm just asking for conformation, by giving the everstone to a pokemon, i'm giving it a 50% chance of having all of its ev's, nature and ivs carried over into the baby, right?

No.. Only the nature of the parent. Gamefreak wouldn't make it that easy on us.

Edit: Having EV's passed down? That makes no sense.. They're different Pokés; the offspring isn't a "baby-clone" of the parent.
