HI guys, this is my second team here(I posted One a long time back) And I found the most original idea LETS MAKE A SANDSTORM TEAM. This team has done really well for me.

Lets get into it

Standard lead Hippo set. My lead of choice. Sets up SR, and SS. My reliable blaziken and conkeldurr check as well. Not much else to say here. Also its an annoying phazer. Its also my spore taker once SR is up. Hippo is my switch in to most fighting types such as terrakion, lucario, meinshao etc. Roar is an important move as well to stop pesky BP blazikens and SD scizor. 2 streamers might seem redundant, but I really think that Hippo +TTar has potential. Special attacks>>>>>TTar physical>>>> hippo

My ttar set has incredible bulk It can even take an LO focus blast from gengar provided SR is not up and paralyze + rest for the win, so it doesnt have much trouble soaking up even water attacks

Rotom-W provides me with a much needed check to water attacks. It is also there to check pokes that are annnoying for this team such as gyara,gliscor and skarmory. Max Sp.Atk for the power to run through CM Keldeo and Scizor. This thing also does well against Excadrill if it doesnt have an SD up. A good EV spread would be appreciated since tbh I have no idea on how to EV a Rotom. I neglected Speed EVs since I qould much rather have the added bulk than outspeed a few pokes.

SubSplit gengar. Always been a favourite of mine. Its my much needed Brelom and Gliscor check as well. Unprepared teams get ripped apart due to excellent coverage.The only special attacker on my team as well, so keeping him alive is essential at times. I think I need another Skarmory check though as Gengar is quite fragile and Focus blast has Horrible accuracy.

Garchomp is a beast. Beats gliscor, ferrothorn(sub) un Sd d brelloom .... actually anything thanks to sand veil. Sub is there to stop leech seed, toxic and for prediction and to encourage hax. Dittos are rare nowadays, but if I dont have a sub, ditto will create havoc. Chomp is also a good breloom check. Theres a reason this guys banned on the smogon server, I cannot count how many time this guy has saved me with purely sand veil

What can I say? It outspeeds a + 2 Blaziken. EPic. It finishes off genesect, immune to TW and toxic. I cant say much here to be honest. After SD it sweeps like crazy. Just epic. He also revenges weakend Seperior and weakend gensect whch is super annoying or this team. Sets up on many things such as espeon etc.

This Ttar is boss. Politoed simply cries. Scald usually does 20 %. Even unstabbed focus blasts hardly scares it. It is very unexpected too since people dont expect T-wave and it cripples essential pokes like gensect,breloom etc. rest makes him virtually impossible to kill if opponent hs no hard counter. Porygon2 also cries when he sees this Ttar. Normally I would get at least two paralysed pokemon since it is so unexpected. It can 1v1 a Rotom-W and win... I have gotten much stick for this ttar but I assure you it is extremely effective if properly used.

So thats my team, im open to suggestions. Thanks in advance
 
This isn't a rate. Just a few questions:

Why do you have TTar and Hippo? That's just bad synergy and Ttar can do a much better job at what Hippo is really achieving (Stealthrock & Sandstorm)
You do know that Garchomp is banned?

That Tyranitar set is horrible. Get rid of Hippo and change the set to the standard lead (Can't find the link but it would be easy to just look for)
A Rotom-W would help your Synergy out alot so since TTar has been moved to lead I's suggest replacing Hippo for Rotom. It's up to you which set you run but I have to go now so I might finish this later

Garchomp is not banned on Pokemon online. The TTar set is very effective. Just because it is unorthodox doesnt mean its bad. Hippow is a physical sponge whille ttar is a special sponge. This team has won me most of my games so I dont think it needs an entire revamp:)
 
Tick starmie, offensive TR Brongzong, and any gliscor pretty much destroys this entire team.

Having said that, I'd really really replace the rest set on Ttar. It's so easy to get a switch for a fighting abuser or weather swapper in and than make mince meat, forcing you to either switch in Hippo and take a beating or lose T-tar. And if you switch you'll have an asleep poke to deal with.


Also, once gengar is down You'll be open to all sorts of nasty sweeper, namely conkledurrp, mienshow, machamp, and garridos.


Look into a gliscor set or a skarmory.


And you need someone with an ICE move. I pack at least 2 ICE users on all my teams, too many hax 4X/2X ice weaknesses in the current metagame.
 
a DD Gyardos can sweep this team. I would suggest taking out T-Tar or Hippo, since you don't need them both :P Try going for a Dual Screen Bronzong, i hear he goes well into Sand Teams.

Hmmm gyara is a prob bt it doesnt sweep my whole team. Sucker punch + rock slide kills it. I had a bulky shaymin before with Seed flare; HP(fire) rest and leech seed but i replaced it with cacturne cause his so fun:). Do u guys think I should put him back?

BTW Gliscor is not that much of a prob. If gengar is down I use garchomp which is surprisingly good vs gliscor and can even set up on him( sub on the fling, protect and SD ftw)

My main prob is skarm though he is very annoying for this team. The reason I have TTar and Hippo is that I really find the ttar set effective( he can occasionally beat rotom-w 1 on 1 since he only takes around 40 % from hydro pump) and fighting types that switch in on him get t-waved and then i send in hippo ftw.
 
u could try a mence if u wanna play on our awesome, cooler, amazingly better server. stops dd gyara and intimidate really helps.
against gliscor, only fail peeps use fling ;P starmie helps with scor and skarm, but rotom-w is very good too. use either one over hippo
 
Im giving this a bump since I really want a serious rate. This team has peaked at #39 on the PO server so I dont think it needs a total makeover.


BTW Thanks for the Rotom-W suggestion it really helps.
 
I'd definitely go either Jolly or Air Balloon on Excadrill; both just leave something to be desired. Also, Brick Break pwns other Excadrill, and you don't seem to have a huge Latios/Celebi problem on your team.
 
A Speed Boost Sharpedo in the rain would rip your team a new one, I would invest in some kind of priority attack.

As has been mentioned before, 2 sandstream users is most likely redundant. I'd consider the likes of Lucario or even a bulky Conkeldur with Mach punch a good investment.
 
Gliscor > Hippo
He has nice bulk, Poison Heal protects him against burn etc
Luke > Chomp
Chomp is banned and it´s unfair to play him furthermore.
Luke won´t get any Damage in Sandstorm, he has a prio to hit boosted Things
Or use conkel, like Skore said.
And pls change the TTar set :S
TTar has a huge movepool and you play him like this?
I don´t get the sense of this Set.
While you are sleeping you can get TWave with Sleep Talk, which is sometimes really crap.
If you want to keep TWave play it with Roar to shuffle the Status and stop your opponent.
TTar with a DD set or mixed and rocks
Forretress > Hippo is also possible, Forry can bring out every Stuff you want and can blew away anything you want.
Mence is also an option.
