I think he was saying that as far as CB-Entei counters go, it's gimmicky.

Yep.

Miltanks can be annoying to take down without fighting type moves. I hate when they spread paralysis using Body Slam and then just heal up. They're also good for using curing status with heal bell.

If you need an Entei counter go with Thick Fat Hariyama.

Also as a random joke: What if Emboar got Thick Fat like its previous forms pignite and tepig? It would be hilarious but Hariyama would still be better.

Just putting it out there, (once it is released) max HP/Def Eviolite Thick Fat Pignite actually does completely wall CB Entei, taking less than 8% max from
Flare Blitz, and being able to take 2, probably 3 Stone Edges. It can also hit back with EQ or Stone Edge, though it needs 176 EVs in Atk to get a 2HKO without Rocks, which allows Entei to get a guaranteed 3HKO with Stone Edge. I wouldn't say this is an actual reliable counter, but it is a fun and gimmicky one. (And while Think Fat would be nice, it isn't actually needed, you still laugh at Flare Blitz without it).

However, to be more serious, use Hariyama if you want something more reliable.

Also, speaking of thick fat, why not try Snorlax? 252/0 Lax can take 2 Stone Edges, a ton of Flare Blitzes, and can hit back hard.

Because Snorlax is UU... You could use Munchlax though.

Hariyama would be better yeah, but I'd prefer to keep Emboar as a mixed attacker anyway. Hariyama is fine in his defensive role.

I was lurking on the forums and came across the UU usage list. Then I found out that Yanmega isn't going UU until a) we have a suspect test
b) ALL of these pokes go UU:
Code:
Venomoth
Lilligant
Gorebyss
Wobbuffet
Uxie
Dugtrio
Golurk
Rhyperior
Durant
Omastar
Gligar
Quagsire
Blastoise
Cresselia
Honchkrow
Cofagrigus
Galvantula
Gallade
Umbreon
Sharpedo

In other words, Yanmega's staying, or whoring in this tier will come to an end, barring Ferroseed.

Unfortunately that's not how the tiers work.

Suspect tests would be nice for RU but right now it doesn't even have a subforum so...yeah.

A good number of them will, after the Drought ban. All we need is for everyone here to start spamming UU teams with Yanmega in them gogogo!!!

You are right. RU won't have any kind of suspect testing until August the earliest so, if you want shit out of RU, you guys should focus on... UU.

This is a little dodgy, but if you battle on the ladder and forfeit using the team preview, does it count towards the statistics?

Or if you forfeit in the middle of a battle?

Someone could potentially say, I don't like Yanmega, I'll say create a new user and spam Yanmegan and forfeit every battle to increase Yanmega's usage in UU if you want to put Yanmega in UU using such a dirty method.

OR I guess people can battle with Yanmega Legitimately in UU, it's not a bad pokemon amd persuade people to do it lol.

Although I've had more problems with Cressilia then Yanmega myself.

Cress and Yanmega are both incredibly broken in RU... there´s a reason they were both BL last gen. When we get to suspect testing, they definitely need to go. I myself have been abusing SpecsLens Mega to get to the top 10 on the ladder. I could probably hit no 1 if I wanted to but I´m currently on vacation lol...

I actually have no personal problems with Cress. Sp. Def Bulky Cofagrigus with Haze laughs at CM variants. And Crawdaunt laughs at it all day while setting up Dragon Dances.

I use Calm Mind Cofa with haze and I still hate it.... i usually end up resorting to toxic with Clefable....

Just out of curiosity, why Calm Mind and Haze on the same set?

It's to psych out the opponent. Say you get to +6/+6 and they're staring down the barrel of defeat then BAM!

You hit them with Haze. This strategy is second only to ScarfAgiliDisc in the Rain as a super psych out.

Also why is Smogon always down... Sucks so bad.
