good day!
i want to have a MixMence
and i have a naive ditto 31 ivs attack and Sp.attack
how can i pass it down to the offspring bagon?
 
i heard if you give it a power item, it can pass down one of the IVs, which kinda sucks, and you have no control over the natures that you get, but if i were in your position i would give it the power lens (SPatk) and just wish for a naive bagon...
 
oh wait how about breed it then the ditto holds everstone so the offspring will be a naive bagon then if the IVs (attack and sp.a) was pass down (thanks for the luck) then breed again the newly hatch bagon w/ the same ditto
 
So, Dought Vulpix was banned in UU a while back, but people are saying Vulpix is still allowed with Flash Fire. Why? Drought was its best set and it made Vulpix "broken", so why isn't it a case similar to Blaziken? Unless you're going to tell me "But FF Vulpix isn't broken like Droughtpix is!", in which case that'd mean you'd support unbanning Blaze Blaziken since it's not broken either.


Or maybe I just misread the posts including Vulpix.. let me go check

Because UU has a different administrator compared to OU, IIRC. Plus, Speed Boost is on different Pokemon, like Yanmega and Sharpedo, but does it make them broken? No. Is Drought on any other Pokemon? No. Is there even a point in FF Vulpix for UU? No. So yeah. Drought Vulpix being banned is a pseudo-ban on Vulpix, if you view it that way.

First sentence: Oh.
Second and third sentence: True, there's no other user of Drought in UU.
Fourth sentence: Is there a point to Blaze Blaziken in OU?
Last part: Well, to be honest, it just seems odd to me that they use the "Ban it completely if its best set is broken" thing in every case except for Vulpix.
 
Blaziken still has Hi Jump Kick, which easily warrants the fact that it lacks Close Combat(iirc) and a Physical Fighting STAB. Also, if I remember right, the different admin part was because Phillip7086(the one for OU) didn't want a complex ban for Blaziken, because it'd set off a slippery slope of sorts. You also can't ban Speed Boost because frankly, Sharpedo, Ninjask and Yanmega aren't broken with it, but you can ban Drought because only Vulpix has it.
 
From what I understand, the reasoning for banning Drought instead of Vulpix was twofold:

1. It was the ability that was believed to be inherently broken in UU, and would be broken on basically anything that had it (like Moody).

2. It would automatically prevent Ninetails from being usable should it ever fall into UU usage range.

Keep in mind that (from what I can remember, anyways) Politoed's never been a suspect for OU, either. Only Drizzle.
 
im trying to make a fear donphan. i have bred endeavor into phanpy and have been trying to breed ice shard into it with a seel. but none of the phanpys so far have had endeavor. how do i fix this?
 
its impossible to get a fear donphan. level 1 donphans are impossible, and phanphy cant do it b/c it doesnt have ssturdy.... so ya

You need a male Smeargle that knows both moves. The female Phanpy won't pass on egg moves, since only the father can pass them down.

@premboy: FEAR at level 25 isn't too unreasonable (not ideal, but still workable), or Phanpy can just wear a Sash.
 
Endeavor is an egg move from the Raticate family, the Swoobat family, and Dunsparce
Ice Shard is an egg move from the Mamoswine family, the Weavile family, the Dewgong family, and Glaceon

It's impossible outside of Smeargle. And since Donphan has to be level 25 anyway, I would recommend using Aron instead

Okay so i have a platinum in my r4 card.Can i trade over the wifi with someone having a normal cartridge?
Assume that i have a male scizor with superpower in gen 5.If i breed it with ditto, will he pass superpower to the baby scyther?

Yes, and no. Superpower isn't an Egg Move, so it cannot be passed down to Scyther.
