Can someone help improve my team (this isn't a RMT because my team is only in testing and not complete) via PM? My team includes Tyranitar, Scizor, Virizion, Latios, Doryuuzu, and Rotom-W. More details will be revealed via PM (don't want to get my team "leaked") I should add that I'm planning on playing BW Wifi.

Anybody?

TBH this is a pretty good team. Reasons? Ive seen this team a thousand freaking times and it has good synergy and does not really have any dedicated counters. If you want people to talk about your team, use the RMT forum even after you test it. This is the best way to improve your team. Dont worry too much about letting other people know all the parts about your team or about it being leaked.

What is the best (or least sucky) moveset for a Moxie Mightyena? I've tried to come up with one but I don't have to much experience in competative battling and next to none in gen V. I came up with this though:

262.png

Adamant/Jolly @Life Orb
4 Hp/252 Atk/252 Spe
Sucker Punch
Taunt
Substitute
Thunder/Fire/Ice Fang

Switch in after a death to revenge kill and get the moxie boost and then spam STAB Sucker Punch. Taunt to stop set ups trying to ruin Sucker Punch or Substitute for status and what not. Fangs as a filler/coverage but idk if its worth it. Is this viable or is there something "better"? Thanks

Virizion gave me some help. I just wanted another opinion/more options. Thanks

If you want a Moxie Dark-Type sweeper, why aren't you using Honckrow? It has Sucker Punch, Brave Bird, Roost, Sucker Punch...
It pretty much directly outclasses your Mightyena.

Not to mention Honchkrow outspeeds by 1 point, and has better overall defenses. I guess he has...Super Fang? Not SR weak? W/e...

As for my question: What would be a good set for a lead Mienshao? I've been using Fake Out/HJK/Stone Edge/U-Turn with a Silk Scarf, but I'm not sure it's really working for me...

I made a manual rain dance team with the core of KingColoKops. The problem I most suffer with is paralysis. I was looking for something that could rain dance and is immune, benefits, or doesn't mind thunder wave. Actually, I was looking for two of these because Bronzong and Crobat just aren't working out.

You could use something like Jolteon with Thunder and Volt Absorb or Electivire with Motor Drive to set up Rain Dance, or something like Gastrodon or Quagsire

Cress was OU in Gen IV for a long time FYI.

Anyways, crappy typing, non reliable-recover for a wall and tyranitar (and if you consider Gen V the existance of reuniclus) are the main reasons.

Theres always Celebii. Heal bell + natural cure are sure to keep your team status free.

I know...Gamefreak hates Mightyena. Totally outclassed by Honchkrow. So then lets say I HAVE to use Moxie Mightyena. What's a good set for it?

Mightyena has a pretty bad physical movepool. But this might work...

Mightyena @ Life Orb
Jolly
Moxie
  • Taunt
  • Sucker Punch
  • Fire Fang
  • Return
After Taunt, Sucker Punch always works (unless they switch <_<).

Also, asking again about the best set for a lead Mienshao.

Also, asking again about the best set for a lead Mienshao.

Mienshao@LO
252 Atk/252 Spe /4 HP
Jolly/Naive
Ability: Regenerator
-Fake Out
-HJK
-U-Turn
-Taunt/HP Ice

If you use HP Ice go with Naive and 4 SpA EVs. Its important to always use U-Turn and Fake Out with Mienshao otherwise its a worse Terrakion.

Burn/Paralyze and buffs/debufs

I've been playing pokemon lately and was wondering how OP debuffs and the like would be with burn/paralyze. So I came up with a few questions I figured you guys would know the answers to.

  • Does Burn's/Paralyze's status effect change stack with buffs/debuffs?
  • If so, which affects the base stat first Burn's/Paralyze's status effect or buffs/debuffs?
  • Is there an absolute minimum a stat can be reduced to no matter the scenario?

Thanks,
PokeBilly
