Rai's OU RMT v2

Heys guys its Rai, Here we go again since my last RMT didnt go so well.

So to start out my team, I picked two sweepers that worked well together. The first pair that came to mind was Dragonite and Metagross.

Next, I thought it would be good to get a supporter in on this core, and both of these sweepers will enjoy a wish passed to them before they sweep. So why not a vaporeon? it fits well with typing and is aloud to pass the wish not worrying about hurting the sweepers too much.

So now that i have a core, I should add something else that wont effect the core too much. Since fire and ice are cover well, I Thought of my favorite pokemon Snorlax. With Thick Fat, It gives me another ice and fire resist. and dragonite take the fighting type pretty well.

After this I wanted a dual screener since both of my sweepers wouldn't mind the extra bulk, And I also thought I needed a stealth rock layer. So to keep the synergy going, I decided to go with Bronzong. Yes, it has the same fire weakness as metagross.

To round of the team i decided just to go with the standard mienshao lead their fun, right?

I soon saw that I was short special attackers, And I had a big ground weakness. So i thought Rotom W looks great in mienshao's spot.

Bronzong @ Light Clay
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
IVs: 0 Speed
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Stealth Rock
- Reflect
- Light Screen
- Gyro Ball

My standard special wall. It sets up dual screens, and sets stealth rocks earlier in the match. Gyro Ball is there for standard attack, 0 speed IVs is maximum damage. Also so it can be used as a late game wall. I was thinking maybe a wish passer/dual screener latias. Tell me what you think!:D

Synergy Test:
Fire - Dragonite, Vaporeon, Rotom-W,Snorlax

143.gif

Snorlax (M) @ Choice Band
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 28 HP / 252 Atk / 228 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Return
- Fire Punch
- Pursuit
- Seed Bomb

This guy throws people off guard, and enjoys wishes from vaporeon. He handles thundurus well. can take any move it throws at him and OHKO with Return. He can basically take any special attack thrown at my team if not on a switch in and return with a powerful attack to threaten there team. Seed Bomb is there for Jellicent walling my team barring Rotom-W. I like him but was thinking maybe a curse set? Let me know.

Synergy Test:
Fighting - Dragonite

149.gif

Dragonite (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Multiscale
EVs: 252 HP / 100 Def / 156 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Roost

Definately by far my favorite sweeper barring metagross. This thing is one bulky powerhouse. With roost, it recovers to activate multiscale. Then DDs up to sweep. I am thinking about making him a full out attacking Dragonite. So i'll have some priority on this team. Let me know what you guys think.

Synergy Test:
Dragon - Metagross, Bronzong
Ice - Metagross, Bronzong, Vaporeon, Rotom-W
Rock - Metagross, Bronzong

376.gif

Metagross @ Leftovers
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 132 HP / 252 Atk / 124 Spd
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Ice Punch
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake

Agilitygross has been my favorite sweeper since 4th gen. I think it still gets the same usage as before. You just have a big decision to make. Either Ice punch and get walled by bulky waters, or Thunderpunch and get walled by dragons. I chose Ice punch because of all of the gliscors and dragons running around.

Synergy Test:
Fire - Dragonite, Vaporeon, Rotom-W
Ground - Dragonite, Rotom-W

134.gif

Vaporeon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Protect
- Wish
- Scald
- Toxic

Vaporeon loves to pass wishes to the rest of my team. Especially my sweepers and Snorlax. Toxic is there for any bulky waters (Ex:Jellicent/other Vaporeon) that try to wall it. Scald is there for STAB and a slight percentage of a burn is nice.

Synergy Test:
Electric - None(but snorlax does a pretty good job at walling it. Unless they're physical.)
Grass - Bronzong, Metagross, Dragonite

479-w.gif

Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Trick / Hidden Power(ice)
- Hydro Pump
- Thunderbolt

This little scarfer outspeeds the things that need to be outsped for my team. I can't decide on Trick or Hidden power ice. Please give me your thoughts. Trick can be for crippling walls that annoy me. But HP(ice) can be used to kill dragons or gliscor that bother me.

Synergy Test:
Grass - Bronzong, Metagross, Dragonite

Well, there it is I hope al of you can give me some advice to make this team better:D

Thanks ~Rai.

Hmm well your team seems solid enough just a few matters at a glance:
I don't understand why you want to use your Rotom to kill Dragons, It would be better to switch Bronzong in and use him to set up screens, then Dragonite to KO with a setup on the switch (It's probably going to be a fire type anyway, so you're good to go)

That Dragonite set bothers me because it's walled by a lot of steel pokemon, -especially- Skarmory. Perhaps you could try a Naive nature with fire Blast, since you aren't going to use Dragonite to block SPA moves, and it works surprisingly well when I use it to surprise Ferro and Skarmory. That setup is resisted only by Empoleon which to be honest is rare, and even then you can hit through it fairly easily for a 2HKO once you're buffed.

Also if you're wanting an attacking Dnite, Choice scarf could definitely be an option. although you kinda lose it's viability with multiscale, which is a shame to be honest, but hey, you can't have everything. Or if you'd perhaps prefer a better all out attacking Dragon, Salamence could be a nice option. It's powerful for mixing and is slightly faster and more offensive.

Dnite: (if you use band, obviously use the physical alternative)
Naive @ choice scarf/band
252SpA/252 SPE
-Outrage/dragon claw
-Fire blast/punch
-EQ
-Extremespeed

Mence:
Lonely@choice scarf/band
252 SPA/252 SPE
-Draco meteor/outrage
-Flamethrower
-EQ
-Your choice, but I would use Brick Break for screens/blissey or Dragon tail for some phazing.

I've got one word for your Snorlax, and it's Jellicent. xD If rotom is gone, Jellicent will have a field day stalling this team with burns. Perhaps thunderpunch or Seed bomb in place of Pursuit would slove your problem. Actually, if you have Seed bomb, it serves as a Rotom-W counter and anything that has 4x grass weakness as well.

So yeah, just a few suggestions, Have a play with movesets and such, it's Pokemon, nothing is ever perfect but you can attempt to make it so. =P Good luck.

You give a good point on the seed bomb point, but i think I will replace EQ instead. Then making only heatran walling me, I have more things to take heatran. I am not quite sure on the choiced dragons, with rocks running around means limited switch ins.

Anyothers wanna help??? anything is accepted:)

Some things to point out

Personally, I Would use an altered Bronzong set of
Duel Screens
Gyro Ball
Stealth Rock
Because after a switch to another pokemon, bronzong can be re-used as a late-game wall. Using Explosion so early on is something I usually frown upon, as it will take down a pokemon, which , because you are limited to only six, is a sacrefice few can afford to make.

I will definately switch out explosion for gyro ball:) You make a good point.

Anything else you guys want to offer? I'll consider anything.
