Hey all..let's make this short and sweet. I'm going to list the 6 main pokemon on my team right now, and what I have thats usable on the side, and I'd like some recommendations. Right now, my team seems to be losing quite a bit to the better players.
Garchomp @ Life Orb
- Swords Dance
- Dragon Claw
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
No big surprise here. Standard Garchomp, really. With Life Orb, can take out Skarm in a few shots of Stone Edge.
Claydol @ Leftovers
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam
- Earthquake
- Explosion
The reason I chose Earthquake over Land Power is because the IVs on this thing make it a physical attacker clearly...though I have Ice Beam just for Garchomp/other annoying dragons. Anyway, pretty standrard as well. With all the Stealth Rock/Spikes running around, I thought it'd be nice to have a solid rapid spinner.
Gyarados @ Leftovers
- Taunt
- Dragon Dance
- Ice Fang
- Earthquake
I'm not so sure about this guy. I am almost never able to pull off the Dragon Dances required with him...hard to set up. I like Intimidate, though..and I see this one as a half-assed Manmuu counter..though I still think I'll need a Hazer. I'm considering switching to a Wish Vaporeon for this role somewhere along the line...not sure yet.
Alakazam @ Adherence Scarf/Adherence Glasses
- Trick
- Energy Ball
- Psychic
- Focus Bomb
I tend to lead off with this guy, as I find he interrupts quite well. I find the Scarf useful for countering other Adherence Scarfed pokes, since Alakazam is faster than most. I like the Glasses for more damage and screwing over Physical Sweepers that would normally be switched in against Zam.
Snorlax @ Leftovers
- Curse
- Rest
- Crunch
- Body Slam
Curselax. Unfortunately, I have trouble utilizing this one. Considering switching over to a Sleep Talking lax instead that doesn't require as much setting up.
Heracross @ Choice Band
- Megahorn
- Earthquake
- Stone Edge
- In Fight
Yes, I know I should have bred it for Pursuit. Not sure what to say about this guy...just a crazy damager, I suppose.
Those are my main six for now. Not much of a strategy, I guess.
The following are in my box and readily available:
Swinub w/ Curse
Yes, I can make a Cursemuu if I want to..just haven't tried, yet. Not sure how well it'll fit into the team yet, anyway. I'm considering a Sandstormish team utilizing Sand Veil and such.
Lucario @ Salac Berry
- Reversal
- Swords Dance
- Earthquake
- Endure
A one trick pony that hasn't been very successful in the world of Adherence Scarf.
Jolteon @ Leftovers
- Shadow Ball
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Substitute
Too squishy, really..and once again, in the world of Adherence Scarf, this guy just ain't what he used to be.
Yonowaaru @ Leftovers
- Trick Room
- Shadow Punch
- Will-o-Wisp
- Pain Split
The only reason I don't use this guy in my main lineup is because he was hacked for me. I'm not huge on using hacked Pokemon. Thus, he's on the bench. If you think he's MANDATORY for my team though, then by all means, make your recommendations.
Celebi @ Leftovers
- Baton Pass
- Recover
- Calm Mind
- Psychic
This one was given to me by Seph. Haven't found much use for it yet, unless I were to using a special sweeper besides Zam. The reason I don't use it with Zam is because it would require Zam using his "Trick," which I don't like to rely on if I don't have to.
Azelf @ Salac Berry
- Psychic
- Thunderbolt
- Explosion
- Scheme
This guy is just too squishy to set-up, really. He seems to die a lot, and people aren't stupid enough to switch in things that can't handle its attacks.
Thats all, really. I probably need to raise more Pokemon, yes. I'm also considering Manaphy and Cresselia for more blobbish purposes. Your suggestions/recommendations are obviously welcome.
Thanks,
