First team, OU

I was on serebii and tried to get this team rated but mostly got $hit

Derpy advice off serebii (funny)>
If you could run this Ninetales set, it wouldn't suck as bad.

Ninetails@Life orb
Ability: Drought
Timid nature
Evs: 252 speed, 252 sp.atk, 4 HP
-Nasty Plot
-Flamethrower
-Solarbeam
-Hidden Power (Fighting)

I know there is only one change, but it is a huge one. With drought, you can use Solarbeam with no power up turn, meaning a 100% accurate 120 power one turn move with no recoil. It hits much harder than energy ball.
2 Suggestions :

1. Don't spam!

2. Just test it out on PO, adjust some EV's/Pokemons/Moves if they don't work, be creative

Jirachi.png

Mr.Hax(Jirachi)@leftovers
Careful nature
Ability: Serene grace
Eves: 252 HP, 216 sp.def, 40 speed
-Stealth rock
-Wish
-Thunder wave
-Iron head

Ahhh, jirachi, my favorite OU pokemon. The reason: HAX.xD This guy makes a GREAT special wall, and can reliably set up stealth rock, be a great wish passer and quite frankly, HAX. I can almost always get a t-wave (bar a ground type) up against the opponent, and proceed to hax him to hell. I once 6-0d a team with this guy xD. I really fear opposing burn/paralysis though:L.

cat_o__nine_tails__psf__super.jpg

Ninetales@Leftovers
Ability: Drought
Bold nature
Eves: 144 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA / 108 Spe
-Will-O-Wisp
-Disable
-Flamethrower
-Substitute

A SET THAT WORKS!!!!! Ninetales can be EXTREMELY annoying with this sub/disable set, and can force the opponent to switch out by disabling their primary STAB/crippling them with WoW, allowing me to sub up AGAIN and disable/cripple with WoW. Sorry for the short explanation, not much to say....

Spr_3e_003.gif

Mr.Sweep(venesaur)@life orb
Lonely nature
Ability: Chlorophyll
Eves: 192 atk, 64 sp.atk, 252 speed
-Growth
-Seed bomb
-HP fire
-Return

My main sweeper and a very strong one. he does suffer from the four move slot syndrome though :/. I try to get a growth up on this guy, and than the only things that can stop him are heatran/other weather, but he can handle opposing weather alright with seed bomb for tyranitar/hippowdon and HP fire for the virtually non-existant abomasnow. He is also my last stand against dragons, as return can take care of them somewhat. But anyway to the main part, if i can get a growth up=sweep. if not... I STILL DO ALOT OF DAMAGE xD.

heatran.gif

Melted metal(Heatran)@Air balloon
Ability: Flash fire
Timid nature
Eves: 252 sp.atk, 252 speed, 4 HP
-Flame charge
-Flamethrower
-Dragon pulse
-Earth power

Mah Otha sweepa, and he's pretty good at sweeping. Flame charge is awesome, as it boosts my speed, and is NOT blocked by taunt. After one flame charge heatran's speed reaches... 416 if I remember correctly... and that allows him to outspeed much of the teir! The moves are self explanatory, Flamethrower for stab D-pulse for great coverage, and earth power for other heatrans and stuff like that. lol it's easy to understand.

1824725.png

Flying scorpion(Gliscor)@ Toxic orb
Ability: Poison heal
Impish nature
Eves: 252 HP, 184 def, 72 speed
-Swords dance
-Taunt
-Ice fang
-Earthquake

Self explanatory...... Swords dance to gain awesome boosts, and kill conkydurpy, taunt to shut down scary sweepers/a wall, ice fang +EQ make a great type combo for attack. He is a great physical wall, and can shut down a few sweepers.

Latios_The_Derp_by_miscoded.jpg

Revengekillify(Latios)@Choice scarf
Ability: Levitate
Timid nature
Eves: 252 speed, 252 sp. atk, 4 HP
-Draco meteor
-HP fire
-Thunderbolt
-Trick

When latios is equipped with a choice scarf, he makes a great revenge killer/scarfer(lol) and outspeeds a lot of pokes.
DM and HP fire provide great coverage, and since im in a sun team, I cant us surf, so I decided to use thunderbolt. Trick can screw many opponents over, and I pwn after that. I leik how he's OU still xD.

DATS MAH TEEM.

Oh yeah, Thundurus can turn your team into death meat. hell just cripple every one, then set up a sweep. Also, If hax doesnt go your way, Scrafty can set up against you:(

You say you dislike NineTALES (not tails) but as an a offensive Pokemon i say it fails. Try a over heat/power swap set and will o wisp

You need
A. A threatlist
B. Morewriting
C. Team Building
D. Pics
E. The team at a glance

You are:
A. Not a mod
B. Wrong. Pics, teambuilding, and team at glance are optional

Anyways, decent team. I guess you could change dragon pulse to hp ice because it hits mence and dnite harder, plus destroys landorus and gliscor. I think it can ohko haxorus too, but im not sure

Ninetails@ Leftovers
Ability: Drought
Timid nature
Eves: 252 special defense, 252 defence, 4 HP
-Wil-o-wisp
-Energy ball
-Heat Wave
-HP fighting

Melted metal(Heatran)@Life orb
Ability: Flash fire
Naughty nature
Eves: 240 atk, 252 speed, 4 HP,12 Sp.attack
-Flame charge
-Stone edge
-Dragon pulse
-Hidden power ice
After rocks u can ohko dragonite with stone edge. ITs a nice mix wall breaker poke just try him out.

Gliscor seem very very out of place on this team why not run Cressilia?

Gliscor is to ruin conkeldurp, im NOT running a mixed heatean I will try hp ice, it fails, I WILL try the overheat&power swap ninetails, and does anyone think this is a good idea? : Getting rid of gliscor for blissey, and giving latios psycic to deal with derpclown (bliss healbells for saving teem from cripples)

Ninetales definitely needs a bulkier set if you're going to be winning any weather wars. Try running Bold nature, a spread of 144 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA / 108 Spe @ Leftovers, and Substitute / Will-O-Wisp / Disable / Flamethrower. This will make it very easy to wear down Tyranitar and Politoed so your sun will be permanent.

LO Latios looks like a major problem because your main counter, Jirachi, takes major damage thanks to your own sun boosting the power of Latios's HP Fire. Volcarona can also give you some problems once it grabs a boost, which it can very easily do vs Jirachi. I'd try running a specially defensive Heatran over your current set; it's an incredibly efficient tank in general but under sun it becomes damn near impossible to kill. It checks both of these threats, and it'll also go a long way in helping you defeat opposing sun teams. Calm nature, 252 HP / 4 SpA / 252 @ Leftovers, Lava Plume / Toxic / Protect / Taunt will work.

Lastly, I think you would really benefit from changing your Scarf Latios to an LO variant. Venusaur under sun is all the revenge killer you need, so the lack of speed isn't a problem. LO Latios with HP Fighting can beat down Heatran and Tyranitar switchins and can stall out the former with Recover - this will pave the path for an easy Venusaur sweep since teams with Heatran are usually ill-equipped to deal with it otherwise. Just a few things to consider, nice team and good luck.

hey good sun team here. only have a few comments. one is to change return on venusaur to earthquake. as of now heatran can really come in without issue and easily threaten. with earthquake you hit heatran and shandera, at the cost of hitting latios, who heatran can come in and kill. secondly, unless accuracy is really bugging you, i suggest run fire blast over flame thrower on heatran. without a life orb or a modest nature, heatran needs all the power he can get, and a fire blast in the sun is insanely powerful.

also rain teams just go straight through you, with your only resists being latios and venusaur, both of which are not bulky and can get 2hkoed by specs toed. i first suggest a bulkier ninetales:
[SET]
name: Specially Defensive
move 1: Flamethrower
move 2: Will-O-Wisp / Toxic
move 3: Substitute
move 4: Hidden Power Fighting / Hypnosis / Protect
Item: Leftovers
Ability: Drought
Nature: Timid
evs: 252 HP / 92 SpD / 164 Spe

secondly i would suggest a physically bulky celebi over gliscor, as it can counter excadrill as well (assuming it does not have x-scissor) and also can help against raint teams
[SET]
name: Defensive
move 1: Giga Drain
move 2: Hidden Power Fire
move 3: Nasty Plot
move 4: Recover
item: Leftovers
nature: Bold
evs: 252 HP / 220 Def / 36 Spe

Gliscor can't 'ruin' Conkelldurr without Taunt, taunt would also cripple Ferrothorn and Blissey :D so try taunt over protect on gliscor

EDIT: and yes thundurus would cripple your team w/ twave and basic set moves

Yes yes, I forgot to change gliscors moveset, XD.
I LOVE the idea of using that lovely ninetails set, i will be trying the sp.defensive heatran, LO latios, and celebi soon.

Here is my suggestions:

Most sun teams, if not all, needs a rapid spinner, this is no exception. A quick fix would be to simply swap Latios out for Starmie. It might not look good on paper with the water power decrease and all, but it can work decently.
If you use it, this is the set you should use:

Starmie @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Recover / Psyshock
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam

Also Jirachi is meh on sun teams, all it does is wish, and thunder wave isn't needed as Venusaur is your only sweeper and it doesn't mind fast opponents.

Instead may I suggest Snorlax, it might seem odd on a sun team but Snorlax offers a better way of dealing with special attackers and can reliably take down Reunicles, as with Latios and Gengar, which can be problems especially if scarfed. I like to think of Snorlax as the Tyranitar for sun teams. Snorlax has the added benefit of dealing with fellow sun teams and fire types, due to thick fat, as an alternative to heatran.
This is the set I sued for Snorlax, it worked wonders:

Snorlax @ Choice Band
Trait: Thick Fat
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SDef
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Frustration
- Earthquake
- Crunch
- Pursuit

At the very least though, if you ignore everything I just suggested, you need a rapid spinner. Outside of Starmie the only decent rapid spinners are Donphan and Hitmontop, if you wish to place them in you will have to make some serious adjustments.

I used to have espeon as a bouncer (die stupid SR) but noticed that he was doing nuthin.... I ACTUALLY considered starmie in place of latios.... you just reinforced my thinking.... BUT RACHI STAYS HAX has 6-0ed me matches, and crippling opponents is always good. Erm... Rachi kills geng &reuna and mah heatran kills lati's
