hi im going to try to make a team again

Infernape @ Life Orb
-Thunderpunch
-In Fight
-Stone Edge
-Flare Drive

Hi I am infernape and I lead off this team to hit hard and maybe sweep later when i have some time.

Hippowdon @ Leftovers
-Stealth Rock
-Ice Fang
-Earthquake
-Roar

hippowdon: i piss you off when you try to switch

Lickilicky @ Leftovers
-Knock Off
-Power Whip
-Body Slam
-Curse/Swords Dance/Explosion

knock off items, curse up when theres a chance to beef up def and attack and power away. PW hits almost anything that Body Slam does not and Body Slam can provide some paralysis which is always good. SD is also an option since it lets it set up faster. Explosion is another option to help finish something off or take something out. Lickilicky looks like it can be useful in this metagame.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
-Somersault
-Wish
-Reminiscent Headbutt
-Reflect

jirachi: hi im here to help out

Blissey @ Leftovers
-Counter
-Wish
-Protect
-Seismic Toss

two wishers is useful. counter can beat CBers etc.

Drifblim @ Leftovers
Detonate
-Will o Wisp
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Hypnosis

Double status is useful and it helps take out Gyarados and other ghosts. It has high HP which is useful and lets it stay in a bit longer. It can also serve as a secondary normal/fighting resist. Also, it helps beat Togekiss.

Tyranitar: covered by Infernape, Hippowdon, somewhat by Lickilicky

Gyarados: I might have trouble, so I will SR and phaze and stuff. Driftblim and Infernape can also take him somewhat.

Infernape: covered by Hippowdon. i probably need a better way to do this.

Azelf: Hippowdon can phaze him, Jirachi can pass wishes so that he cant kill easily, and he will take some damage from everything else. Driftblim can sleep him and take him out of comission.

Rhyperior: covered by just about everything so it wont be easy for it to switch in. WoW from Driftblim will somewhat keep him at bay.

Electivire: covered by Hippowdon, possibly by Infernape.

Heracross: since he cant switch in easily, i can wear him down and then go for the kill with infernape.

Salamence: covered because he is worn down by SR and then i can go for the kill if I keep myself healthy.

Togekiss: beaten by Infernape/Driftblim/Hippowdon

Gengar: might be trouble, but I can probably take him. Driftblim can SB him.

Raikou: covered by Hippowdon/Blissey depends on the hidden power. knock off + SR + sandstorm will make hit hard to stay in too long. Blissey can wear him down with wish/protect.

Lucario: beaten by Infernape/Hippowdon. driftblim can incapacitate.

Rampardos: beaten by a lot of things; Lickilicky can probably take him too with PW. Infernape hurts him. Hippowdon can hurt him too.

Tauros: beaten by Infernape/stalled out by Hippo and Driftblim.

Starmie: could be a problem but it can be beaten with Jirachi/Driftblim (if it comes in on a surf)/Lickilicky

Weavile: beaten by Infernape/Jirachi

Dugtrio: could be trouble, doubtful though since he cant easily come in on anything without possibly taking a hard hit. incapacitated by driftblim makes it even easier.

Alakazam: he might be the most trouble but between jirachi and blissey he can be beaten.

PorygonZ: see Alakazam; also beaten by Infernape

Medicham: could be trouble, but i have some high DEF pokemon and Jirachi can put up Reflect to make life hard for the chamster.

Staraptor: he cant come in easily and is beaten by a number of pokemon. infernape says hi.

Slowbro: beaten by Driftblim/Lickilicky/Jirachi

Jolteon: covered by Hippowdon/Infernape + its hard to get jolteon in because it gets hit by SR.

Aerodactyl: he could be a pain but he can be taken if i play it right.

Snorlax: say hello to Infernape and Jirachi.

Zapdos: depends on the set; could be beaten by Hippo/Infernape + its worn down by SS/SR.

Blissey: Infernape beats it.

Suicune: infernape can hit him on the switch and i can hit him with PW and what not.

Sceptile: beaten by Infernape/has trouble with Jirachi.

Slaking: this will require some prediction, but it can be done because of Reflect and Hippowdon. Infernape can come in on loafing turns and do a good bit.

Ninjask: between the threat of phazing and SR and having its item knocked off, ninjask wont be hard to take down.

Metagross: between Infernape and Hippowdon, he can be beaten.

Celebi: Infernape and Driftblim take it together.

Jirachi: Hippowdon and Infernape can take it.

Manaphy: he will have a lot of trouble with my team's wearing it down, etc.

1. I don't agree with using Gallade instead of Medicham if you're not going to use Gallade's support movepool or Swords Dance or something. Medicham generally does all-out assault better with massively higher attack.

2. Hippopowdon is massively Gyarados-weak, Ice Fang or Waterfall hurts him severely while the worst he can do is lay out Stealth Rock and phaze him. Gyarados with Waterfall wins easily, and this isn't covered too well by the other Pokemon either. Lickilicky's high HP would help in taking it, but...

3. Anticipate only works if your Pokemon is faster, it's useless on Lickilicky unless you're Anticipating against Snorlax, who hasn't seen much use on RMT threads.

4. Arcanine can't do anything to keep Gyarados away, best he can do is 2HKO him with Thunder Fang whereas bulky Gyarados can OHKO with Earthquake or Waterfall. Lack of Intimidate hurts it greatly.

5. Leafeon is kinda meh in that role, Charm is annoying and all but Heracross won't care one bit if you Charm him prior to Megahorn. You're either defensive so you can take a hit and you're slower or you're faster than Heracross and you're walling ability is hampered.

In general I see a massive Heracross weakness, if he manages to switch in safely he can and will utterly destroy your team. Heracross can switch in against Gallade's In Fight and threaten a OHKO CB Pursuit against it, Hippopowdon can't do much against it, Lickilicky can't do much and is OHKOed by In Fight, Jirachi at best annoys and puts up a barrier (useful, yes, but still)... Arcanine's your closest idea of a counter to it since it resists Megahorn, but without Intimidate it can't get in to counter it. You're assuming that Heracross won't be able to switch in, it seems, but CB Pursuit utterly destroys a lot of your team, especially Gallade.

In addition Choice Glasses Salamence rips your team a new one, you have no clear solution for when it gets in, it can Intimidate and take a hit from a lot of your Pokes and you have no safe switch to any kind of special wall.

In general the team is taken apart once those things get in, you don't have a solid solution for those two.

I'm going to keep telling people that you can't do anything under the effects of Taunt so pokemon does not beat pokemon with [support] move.

oh and that it's not necessary to actually list all the threats on the threat checklist in your RMTs though it does help

Why does Lickitung2 have Anticipate and uh......Gallade/Fat tounge thingy/Hippowdon does not counter Togekiss

the problem with arcanine is that it is not good enough for this team, so I am considering putting Infernape with a physical set. i want to lose gallade then.

Infernape @ Life Orb
-Thunderpunch
-In Fight
-Stone Edge
-Flare Drive

this will definitely kill any Gyarados that tries to come in. SR + this will make life tough.

also, i am considering losing Leafeon and Gallade for these Pokemon:

Blissey @ Leftovers
Bold/Max HP/Max Def/6 Sp Def
-Seismic Toss
-Softboiled
-Charm
-Protect

this will help force switches a good bit because it debilitates attackers. protect means that it will survive some moves pretty well. Seismic toss to break most subs.

and:

Drifblim @ Leftovers
Detonate
-Will o Wisp
-Shadow Ball
-Thunderbolt
-Hypnosis

Double status is useful and it helps take out Gyarados and other ghosts. It has high HP which is useful and lets it stay in a bit longer. It can also serve as a secondary normal/fighting resist. Also, it helps beat Togekiss.

btw ADH, Anticipate always strikes first.

The Move/Item Research Thread said:
Anticipate: The user must be faster than the target. If the opponent was about to use an attack this turn, Anticipate copies that attack at 1.5x BP. It is not 50-power ANYTHING like Serebii's Attackdex suggests. Focus Punch cannot be Anticipated.

thanks omega. ok then lickilicky:

@ Leftovers
-Knock Off
-Power Whip

Lickilicky looks like it can be useful in this metagame.

i changed stuff in the original post.

i'd give lickitung2 explosion; its the most powerful move in the game and is a gamechanger. i guess its your choice though, some trainers dislike using explosion overall.

Only UU Rock/Steels even have a chance at surviving a Lickilicky Explosion, and it's a slim chance. Ghost would be a problem, however. Still, it fucking OHKOs Skarm, Cresselia, Suicune, etc. . . . . Plus, there's Swords Dance and that tends to help it's other moves KO other problems, like Ghosts.
