(Title that will compel you to Read)

For Lack of a better title....

To begin this is only my second RMT and my second trick room team, so there is room for improvements. In my last RMT i think the lack of response was down to me over praising everything and saying how well the team had done and how high Id ranked so on and so forth.....

Well this team contrasts starkly; it has taken the liberty to horribly soil my OU ranking almost beyond redemption.
(NOTE after about an hour of playing i have got it back up to over 1000, but now I’m sick of OU, figures. T_T)

(NOTE all pokes have zero speed iv’s and smeargle has 0/31/0/0/0/0, so he is guaranteed to go down to his sash.

Smeargle (M) @ Focus Sash
Trait: Own Tempo
EVs: 252 Atk
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)

- Flail
- Trick Room
- Spore
- Endeavour

This team came around when i was bored and I wanted to make new teams. I went to think of some original suicide trick roomers and some sweepers. I had started with kecleon with fake out/ trick room/ last resort. But that was walled too easily and his sash was ruined and SR and SS so he was “Use it and lose it” sorta poke. This is just as suicidal, it just takes a bigger chunk of their team down with it. This set is what I’ve come up with but It’s far from perfect, it uses have the trick room and doesn’t really come to fruition often because of all the priority running around.

Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Trait: Trace
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 SAtk
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)

- Trick Room
- Recover
- Thunderbolt
- Ice Beam

This is wall Numero uno (is that right? I don’t do Spanish...) another flaw with this team is that i didn’t put hard work into finding a perfect synergetic core like i normally do. Finding 2 walls with good synergy and having useful resistances was much too hard, This team also lacks entry hazards which means it will get wrecked by dragonite and volcorona, Hard hitting special fire types are a problem in general, (volcorona, heatran I’m looking at you :S ) I tried to get coverage in bolt beaming which is fine and dandy but pokes with weaknesses to each are heavily looked down upon in our current metagame and lacking the STAB hurts sometimes.

579.png

Reuniclus (M) @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SAtk
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)

- Shadow Ball
- Psychic
- Focus Blast
- Trick Room

This is the most generic but often where i go when seeking consistency during matches. Standard set nothing really amazing. He is my only special trick room sweeper, i wanted bulk in my sweeper but there all life orbs’s which is rather contradictory..... I’m sure this small comment section will be outweighed by my other massive ones......

534-frame1.png

Conkeldurr (M) @Toxic Orb
Trait: Guts
252Atk / 252hp / 4Sdef
Brave Nature (+Atk - Spd)

- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Stone Edge
- Facade

Another addition to the roster in the beast that is conkeldurr, I think it was Brizznetz that suggested it and then Stunt that provided the spread, thanks to both of you. Im not really getting the originality that i first sought, but that team is improving so i guess thats all that matters in the long run. Im going to make a RU version of the team since that is my favourite tier, but i doubt ill post a RMT because from what i understand Lower tier RMT's aren't nearly as popular. But hopefully i use the experience i got from this team and will get it right first time. Oh and before people spam "Burns dont cut you attack when you have guts!!!!" I know that, but Over 3 turns toxic does less damage and most of the time i use him for a sorta "wham bam thank you Mam" priority thing.

Metagross @ Life Orb
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)

- Hammer Arm
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

This is the set I’m most proud of, completely custom and I’ve never seen it before. Sadly it doesn’t stand up to all said hype. The logic was; hammer arm for things like ferrothorn and such that’d out speed me in trick room and to power up gyro ball, Ice punch for gliscor and other bulky dragons, and Earthquake for heatran yet sadly that is my best option for bulky waters, which usually is what ends up walling this set. The biggest problem is gyro balls inconsistency, and killing myself with life orb, people switching around to resist my hits, stall out my trick then kill me. When using types like steel and ground, they could have 2-3 pokes to resist those types, and more often than not i don’t have a move to hit the poke that resists the first move. The reason i don’t just put on meteor mash is because i feel if i do it will make the set redundant. That is the point of the set and without that I am sure there would be better things to use. Regardless of what I just said ill probably just use whatever you guys suggest.

Slowbro (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)

- Trick Room
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Slack Off

I have not been on PO in the last 3 days so this isnt permanent, But it is definetly better than what i had before, I just did this for any new people rating this just for some opinions on this new wall combo, I changed to special defensive P2 and put in slowbro. He takes fighting moves that P2 cant, helps ground weakness, but i will take more action againsst that later since i am OCD about synergy (tho this team doesnt display) I dont give a fuck if no one uses offensive grass types if i have a x2 grass weakness some poke is gonna get the boot. I do plan on implementing the other suggestions respective to post #9 (My post if you hadn't figured that out), i just will wait until i play tested them myself until i update the RMT. Thanks to Stunt for suggesting this :D

A Final Look For synergy purposes (Too lazy to find back sprites)

Now, the main reason i turned this to a RMT as opposed to scrapping it is....... (*suspense builds*)........ because i thought it would be very enjoyable to rate, (that was the epitome of anti climax...) This team is far from perfect (as of now anyway *wink wink*) , So i want to see you go wild with some original suicide trick roomers, some trick room sweepers, and in general just help the team. I will be making several versions of the team to accommodate your guy’s opinions, They wont be posted in seperate RMT's, ill just update the RMT ot the team that is having the most success. So, instead of glancing over the sets, telling me to just use the more generic equivalent and post the exact same thing as everyone else has, I want you get your creativity pants on, Mine are black, lacy and see through.... (Feel free to jerk off to that thought) And then after the RMT is washed away on the shore of discarded RMT land (????) I will bump it and add on the new and improved team. :D

***Improvements to be made***
• Better wall synergy
• More consistent sweepers
• Adding entry hazards, mainly just stealth rock somewhere along the line
• More effective sweeper with more survivability.
• Some nicknames to boot, one way to tell if my teams are slapped together are a lack of nicknames; i take a lot of pride in my nicknames. They are often obscure references that only one in 10 opponents will get but they’ll feel really awesome when they do.

( NOTE What another note? You can’t be serious? Oh but i am, subconscious that feels the needs to question me... It is no secret but if you play on PO and you want to pump out RMT’s likes it’s no one’s business, you can copy the “export” thing then add comments after.)

I believe it was Thomas Edison that said, ‘If i shall ever see farther, it is because i am standing on the shoulders of a giant’. You guys are effectively the giants...

What? You say my quote isn’t as iconic? Bullshit....

This team is bad, poor synergy, huge ground weakness.....

1. Use dusclops over jirachi. If you consider to use dusclops, ill give u a set.

2.Breloom over smeargle, ill give u a set after u consider. Breloom helps with bulky waters.

3. Starmie over Reuniclus. It spins and works well outside of trick room. Or gastrodon on this spot, you decide.

Cool metagross by the way, I'm trying that.

i think you may be missing the point of the team, It is a trick room team. I will happily take the dusclops spread. If you know a breloom set that excels under trick room id also take that, but starmie is too fast to use trick room and thats the entire point of the team. Maybe ill slap in some non trick room users to fix synergy and such but until i do that you're supposed to help it excell as trick room team, not a standard boring OU team. There is a saying, 'You cant shine shite.' Well the whole point of this RMT is to disprove that theory...

All trick room teams HAVE pokemons that work outside of trick room. It is really needed.

All out attacker
Breloom@Toxic orb
Brave nature252 hp/252atk/4def
poison heal
-spore
-mach punch
-seed bomb
-stone edge

I would have to agree with KyogreBlue, I'm constructing a Trick Room team and I tried it without fast pokes and it just falls flat on it's face.

Spr_5b_376.png

Metagross @ Life Orb
Trait: Clear Body
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)

- Hammer Arm
- Gyro Ball
- Earthquake
- Ice Punch

I would suggest Choice band Metagross over what you have as, no offence to you, it just works better.

Spr_5b_376.png

Metagross @ Choice Band
Trait: Clear Body
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
Evs: 252 Hp / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Ivs: 0 Spe
- Meteor Mash
- Hammer Arm
- Bullet Punch
- Pursuit/Zen Headbutt/Trick

The sheer force of choice band is the best Metagross set this generation imo and of course it works infinitely better under trick room. Most of the time this is coming in to revenge kill but it does extremely well late game. Pursuit for latios and other psychics and ghosts, the best choice imo. Zen Headbutt for secondary STAB. Otherwise you have trick which is still very useful for predicted wall switch ins.

Or if you would prefer use this instead.

Spr_5b_462.png

Magnezone @ Leftovers / Air Balloon
Trait: Magnet Pull
Calm Nature (+SpD, -Atk)
Evs: 252 Hp / 4 Def / 252 SpA
Ivs: 30 Def / 30 SpA / 2 Spe
- Thunderbolt
- Flash Cannon
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Volt Switch

Thunderbolt as STAB and will kill Skarmory, Flash Cannon as Secondary STAB and hits , stuff...idk xD, Hidden power fire to slaughter scizor and other steels that thunderbolt doesn't hit for super effective damage. Volt Switch to keep momentum.

Spr_5b_494.png

Victini @ Life Orb
Trait: Victory Star
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SDef
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)

- V-create
- Zen Headbutt
- Trick Room
- Fusion Bolt

Spr_5b_494.png

Victini @ Life Orb / Choice Scarf
Trait: Victory Star
Evs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpA)
- V create
- Brick Break
- Fusion Bolt
- U-Turn/Zen Headbutt

I think Victini should be a fast late game sweeper with life orb, or a Revenge Killer with a scarf as it makes you faster under trick room conditions as well as without unlike every other speed boosting thing from my understanding (I may be wrong). I would suggest the former, V create for its INSANE POWAH!!! Brick Break for coverage, Fusion bolt for good power and coverage and in the final slot either U-turn to scout or Zen Headbutt for Secondary STAB.

Spr_5b_385.png

Jirachi @ Lagging Tail
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SDef
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)

- Trick Room
- U-turn
- Wish
- Iron Head

I would highly recommend Specially Defensive Skarmory over this as it covers your weaknesses effectively.

Spr_5b_227.png

Skarmory @ Leftovers / Shed Shell
Trait: Sturdy
Careful Nature (+SpD, -SpA)
Evs: 252 Hp / 24 Def / 232 SpD
Ivs: 0 Spe
- Spikes
- Roost
- Whirlwind
- Brave Bird / Taunt

This Skarmory effectively scares out choice Latios locked into Draco Meteor and many other top threats. Spikes are useful to rack up passive damage. Roost to heal yourself and get rid of the electric weakness for a turn. Whirlwind to force out things that can kill you. finally either Brave Bird so as not to be taunt bait or taunt as it moves first against everything not named Thunderus, Tornadus and Whimsicott in OU under trick room.

Hope this helps ^^

maybe replace smeargle with this-

Lvl 1 Whimsicott @ focus sash
nature and evs dont really matter
ability: prankster
-endeavor
-trick room
-encore
-protect / taunt

it works very similarly to the lead you have except i gets priority on everything. they way you use it is to use trick room on turn 1 and if they attack, you just endeavor on turn 2. Under trick room, your priority attacks go before your opponents so youll pretty much always bring something to low health. if they dont attack though you can encore them and then endeavor on the switch to get their switch-in to low health anyway. also its pretty hilarious!

5 Pokemon with TR is a little unessasary imo. You should get more sweeper in there. You could use Conkeldurr over Victini. Priority Mach Punch can be so useful on TR teams. Plus Conk is pretty slow.

Bronzong could be used over Jirachi as a support guy. He covers up you ground weakness and you now have a check aganist Excadrill/Landorus if you fail to get up TR. If you do go with Bronzong I recommend the offensive set in the analisys.

Also, sick Metagross set. That thing looks awsome.

Ok. I love the originality aurating from this team.
However, it still needs lots of work.

On a trick room team, not every pokemon needs Trick Room.
Right now, 5 of the 6 of your pokemon have TR, which is highly redundant.

Excadrill will definitely give you problem after an SD, so over your cute Smeargle lead, I suggest TR Conkeldurr.
conkeldurr.png
@Flame Orb /Toxic Orb
Trait: Guts EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def
Brave Nature (+Atk, -Spd)
0 IVs Speed

- Bulk Up
- Drain Punch
- Mach Punch
- Stone Edge

This set puts forth a lot of power, with Roobushin reaching 624 attack after 1 turn of staying in. Drain Punch can get Exca in Trick Room, and Mach Punch is useful for when Trick Room is ended. Stone Edge is mostly for coverage against Gliscor, Dragons, Gyarados, etc.

With this new fighting type to take crunches, I hope that Jirachi can now be replaced with Slowbro. A much needed wall for your team, Slowbro will hopefully sponge some attacks, set TR, and Regenerate out.

080.png

Slowbro (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 216 Def / 40 SDef
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Trick Room
- Scald
- Ice Beam
- Slack Off

I didn't really think this out a lot, so if you think neither of these sets fit with your team, feel free to ignore my suggestions.

im loving all the suppport guys, really apreciated.

Im probably going to use conk instead of victini as of right now, but i dont think ill be using bulk up, ill probably use stone edge or something instead because the point of flame orb is you dont need to set up, which makes bulk up redundant.

i definetley try slowbro, and ill do some testing to chose between skarm and Bronzong, skarm gets recovery while bronzong gets trick room, i havent looked at their respective base stats yet so i need to do that later.

I dont think i will be using mag, unless my other 2 sweeper are perticurlarly steal weak, they're entitled "trcik room sweepers" for a reason, Magnezone doesnt sweep. An maybe ill go the route of 3 support 3 offensive pokes like a occasionally do. But im not sure how the lead suicide trick roommer fits into that, Or even if ill stick with the suicide lead idea.

I will probably put in a faster poke on your guys suggestion, but im scrapping victini, the SR weakness and poor attack stat just annoys me too much. Leave suggestions for a fast poke that will fit into the team nicely.

I replaced victini with a conkeldurr and its working very well , Loving the support and keep it coming, (he said coming hurr durr) Just updating the RMT. :D
