Hey Smogon! Here's my first competitive team! This team was originally based on some of my favourite pokemon and gimmicks back in R/S/E which i would use to own my friend's team of lv 100s. After importing it to PO and playing a good 5-6 hrs , I made a few changes and added a few pokemon that i thought would fit the playing style. I think this team would be called a Hyper Offensive team. correct me if im wrong :P
Kamakazi (Aerodactyl) @ Focus Sash, Jolly
Pressure. Max Ivs. Evs: 252 Speed, 252 attack,4 hp
Moves: Stealth Rock
Taunt
Stone Edge
Earthquake
Comments: yup. standard suicide lead. the main goal here is to set up stealth rocks and prevent the other team from setting up stealth rock.
Taunt also helps prevent Cloyster from 6-0ing my team (even with taunt i still get 6-0ed by cloyster). I use this guy to lure out any Ice sharders and own them after with Scizor.
No synergy here. Just stealth rocks.
Scizor @Life Orb, Adamant
Technician, Max Ivs. Evs: 252 Attack, 128 defense, 128 sp. defense
Moves: Swords Dance
Bullet Punch
Roost
Baton Pass
Comments: My own personal set for scizor (unless Smogon added it). This scizor is whats holding this team together. Otherwise, my entire team would be swept by a simple Cb'd Weavile. stratergy:to be sent in on to block ice beam (hence the sp defense evs) or a physical move not named fire punch/ fire fang. Then sword dance, and begin a bp sweep.
although this scizor is a baton passer, it should only use baton pass after recieving a speed boost from Smergle. Scizor can baton pass to Salamence, or Haxorus when a fire type pokemon switchs in.
Synergy: Fire: Aerodactyl
Salamence
Latios
Haxorus
Hello! (Smeargle) @Focus Sash, Jolly
Own Tempo, Max IVS, Evs: 252 Speed 252 Hp, 4 Defense
Moves: Spore
Dragon Dance
Ingrain
Baton Pass
Comments: This guy is a bitch to deal with for almost every team. Stratergy: with smeargles rising in popularity, the average person will think that it is gonna Spore as soon as it switches in. This is true to a certain extent, but my smeargle takes advantage of such a thought. If the weather is not sandstorm or hail and the opposing pokemon cannot break sashes, smeargle will dd first, then use spore, and ingrain. Then BP. Smeargle may dd twice if given the chance.
Ive had smeargle fail to BP only once, and that was because of a Cloyster using icicle spear. Soo... this plan is almost fool proof
Potential recipients of the boosts:
Scizor (Bullet Punch SWEEEP XD)
Salamence ( most of the time no, because it will get revenge killed)
Haxorus ( this guy can withstand an iceshard from weavile, <3)
Goodbye (Haxorus) @ Choice Scarf , Adamant
Mold Breaker, Max IVs, Evs: 252 attack, 252 speed, 4 defense
Moves: Outrage
Dragon Claw
Dual Chop
Earthquake
Comments: This haxorus is made to just hit hard, with no regrets. Outrage ,even without boosts, can OHKO or 2hko most pokemon with ease. Choice Scarf gives this thing relatively nice speed, outspeeding everything in the metagame non-scarfed. Its nickname is derrived from a Beatles song called Hello Goodbye. Smeargle provides the first part, Haxorus provides the second part. Haxorus gets a free dragon dance ( maybe 2) along with ingrain to sweep any team while at the same time, edifying their trainer a little British Classic Rock history.Haxorus can also recieve the sword dance boosts from Scizor, and will kill everything even with dragon claw.
Note: Dual Chop is there to break subs, though dragon claw is prefered because of its perfect accuracy. Earthquake is there to counter excadrill and Bronzong that are heatproof. Haxorus has a rather low base speed, and with all the other scarfed dragons roaming OU, it is best for haxorus to switch out when facing a fellow dragon without boosts.
Synergy: Ice: Scizor
Dragon: Scizor
Salamence @ Fire Gem, Hasty
Intimidate, Max Ivs, Evs: 252 speed, 128 attack, 128 special attack.
Moves: Fire Blast
Dragon Dance
Dragon Claw
Hydro Pump
Comments: A wallbreaker mence. My own wallbreaker mence. This mence lures out the average dragon type counters (excluding ice types), and OHKOs every one of them. Fire blast for Ferrothorn, Skarmory, Forretress, Bronzong(assuming its levitate, if its heatproof, we got Haxorus). Then Hydro Pump, for those anoying floating Heatrans, and Volcarana hoping burn it. Hydro pump has also worked out pretty well for Landorus and Terrakion. Then after the walls are gone, salamence will attempt to sweep with dd then dragon claw.
Synergy: Ice: Scizor
Dragon: Scizor
Rock: well... salamence isnt meant to last.
Latios @ Choice Scarf, Modest
Levitate, Max Ivs, Evs: 252 special attack, 252 speed, 4 hp.
Moves: Draco Meteor
Psychic
Trick
Psych Up/ Calm Mind
My Hit'n Runner. Anythign that is too difficult to take down.... well Draco Meteor should roast the mofo. Pychic is there as a Conkulder counter, as well as a reliable stab. Trick is used to stop any out of control pokemon with their boosts, as well as crippling Ferrothorn. The last slot is up for grabs as there is nothing else i can think of that would be usefull.
This is my first RMT, so i would really appreciate any comments. Also, can someone please tell me how to link images to this post? Thanks in advance
