My First RMT

Alright so, truth is, this isnt my first RMT. About a month ago a tried one but after 2 hours of making it my computer spazzed out on me annnd deleted it...
But after reading all of the great rates that smogon gives ive decided to try once more and maybe save whatever i write down like someone with common sense. Anyways, Here it goes:

By the way, this is an OU TEAM

@ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SDef / 4 Def
Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
- Leech Seed
- Gyro Ball
- Protect
- Stealth Rock
Ferrothorn for me is a given for most of my teams. Hes a backbone that keeps everything running. Taking hits from those Latios and Excadrills like a champ, he is easily one of the most important members on the team. Basically, he takes hits so that others dont have to...well every poke does that but this guy does it the most. Im debating on running Power Whip over Leech Seed. Leech seed is just there to take minor health from the opponent and replenish some of mine. I know its not very reliable, but it comes in handy when i need to stall out a poke.

@ Choice Specs
Trait: Blaze
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Vacuum Wave
- Focus Blast
- Fire Blast
- Hidden Power [Ice]
I've loved this guy since 4th gen. With base 108 Speed and 104 Special Attack he packs a serious punch that can tear through teams leaving holes perfect to set up in. I know Vacuum Wave kind of looks wierd but it helps against those Sawsucks and Excadrills. Hidden Power ice is mainly for those pesky dragons runing around. It especially helps when they try to send out a Latios against my prediction.

560.gif
@ Leftovers
Trait: Shed Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Drain Punch
- Crunch
- Ice Punch

So Scrafty is who i built the team around. I have ran Scrafty before and i know that while it is hard to pull off his sweep, the results are amazing. I like having Drain Punch over High Jump Kick because it provides some nice recovery while my luck would make High Jump Kick KO my self. Crunch is an obvious choice with STAB and sending those reuniclus running.
145.gif
@ Expert Belt
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 92 HP / 252 SAtk / 176 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Agility
- Heat Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
This is a set that i got from my friend Aldieb. He has pulled off many sweeps with agility sweepers and i decided hey maybe i should give this a shot. Agility allows this guy to outspeed an Adamant Excadrill in the sand. From there its moves plus Expert Belt allow him to sweep as long as Tyranitar is out of the way which is up to my other members of the team.

479-W.gif
@ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Volt Switch
- Trick

- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power Ice
Rotom-W is definetly one of my favorite pokemon. It makes for the perfect tank. Both STAB Hydro Pump and Thunderbolt send pokemon running and for some reason, people send out Starmies to thunderbolt this thing....I just laugh and Thunderbolt the right back. But this rotom is made for cripiling the team and slowly wear away at them opening for an oppurtunity to set up.

472.gif
@ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Ice Fang
- Swords Dance
- Taunt
So this Gliscor is made to stall when i need him to stall. Whether is a dragon or a simple Vaporeon, this guy comes in handy. The thing is im not particularly a fan of this set but it seems to be of most use to the team. But thats why i have you guys.

Previous members of the Team
Slowbro @Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 SpA
- Scald
- Ice Beam
-Thunder Wave
- Slack Off

This guy just wasnt cutting it. I wanted a better powerhouse on the team which is why i replaced him with Zapdos

And thats it guys. I know im not very good at the whole descriptions of pokemon part but it just doesnt come out the way i want it to sound and id rather not stare at my laptop screen trying to think of ways to kiss my pokemon's @$$. But anyways Thanks for the rates guys.
Changes in BOLD

Change ferrothorn to a specially defensive spread. Its typing was made to to take special hits, but a fighting weakness and neutrality to earthquake, along with a lack of reliable recovery means that it's not going to be walling much physically. Plus you already have gliscor for physical threats. run 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD with a sassy nature.

On zapdos, try an ev spread of 80 HP / 252 SpA / 176 Spe. This is enough to run heatran and adamant lucario (and other neutral natured base 90s) preboost, and adamant excadrill after you agility. With modest you can't beat excadrill even with 252 speed, so it's giving some use to the speed evs that weren't doing much.

You have some blissey issues, so try out close combat over focus blast on infernape.

You have some issues with stall teams as well. Taunt SD Gliscor can stallbreak pretty well while filling its current role on your team. It still counters excadrill and friends, but it can set up and sweep given the opportunity.

Gliscor (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 176 Def / 80 Spd
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Taunt
- Swords Dance
- Facade / Ice Fang
- Earthquake

Ice Fang can be used to hit stuff like gliscor and landorus harder, but a neutral facade hits harder than a super effective ice fang. It leaves you walled by gengar, but you'd switch out of him anyways.

After those changes, you still have a weakness to nasty plot thundurus (and other fast sweepers with good coverage, it's just the first example I could come up with). It can't really set up against anything though, so all you really need is a revenge killer. Changing rotom-w to a scarf set will help with this. It's a good revenge killer, and should give you some breathing room against faster stuff.
Rotom-W @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Hidden Power [Ice] / Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Trick

Hidden power ice gives you coverage against grasses and dragons, thunderbolt gives you accurate stab. Trick hits reuniclus, who currently can mess up your team pretty badly. Locked into one move it's far less dangerous.

Cool team, and good luck with it.

Hmm, thanks for the rate it actually makes perfect sense. Ive made the changes that you have suggested and they are working pretty good. Just one thing:Im probably going to change Infernape to a mixed set just cuz its easier.

Also this team seems to be wrecked by unaware Quagsire so im just gunna replace gyro ball with power whip and see how that turns out

hidden power ice on everything!!! if your zapdos is having t=tar troubles, try hp fighting, as everyone else can handle dragons nicely with ice attacks. its a good attacking type, but you don't need every pokemon to have ice, try to round out your coverage a little

Lol u put 279 Spe EVs on Zapdos, I believe its 179
I advise replacing HPI on your Rotom-W with Will-o-Wisp. If you need it to be a tank, Will-o-Wisp is very effective in halting physical sweepers in their tracks.
Also, you might want to consider switching Ferro to being a Special tank, since Gliscor is already a physical tank. Give Ferro 0 speed IVs for an even stronger Gyro Ball

Hey. Not much I have to add, but you asked me to rate this so I'll give you a suggestion. In my opinion, I think Choice Band Infernape does essentially everything Specs does for your team, and more. First off, It deals with stall a lot better than Specs Ape, who otherwise slows down your momentum a ton, as it's easily walled and also lacks U-turn. Next off, Choice Band Infernape slams Gastrodon and Quagsire with a boosted Close Combat, easily 2hko'ing most variant of either, meaning they can't switch into you safely at all, and are also easily threatened / revenged otherwise. Also Latios is one of the biggest switch-ins for Ape, and alls it will be doing is coming into a boosted U-turn, which wrecks it, and you can immediately switch another Pokemon in and finish it off. Also the Grenade power of Flare Blitz when needed is always welcome. Here is the set:

Infernape @ Choice Band
Nature @ Jolly
evs: 252 atk / 252 speed
-Flare Blitz
-U-turn
-Close Combat
-Mach Punch

Good luck!

A'right, this Zapdos works better with Tyranitar out of the way, it's a good idea lure him out. How about a Specs Latios over Gliscor? Also it attracks steels, wich you can double switch to Scrafty and setup on them, healing from TW/Body Slam with shed skin.

Here's the Latios set:

Latios @ Choice Specs
Nature Timid
252 spe, 252 sp.atk, 4 hp
Draco Meteor
Psyshock (better option than Surf due to Virizion and shit).
Hidden Power Fighting
Trick

Also make your Ape a CB Set, like Zeph said: it's just better, and also use u-turn to give you momentum since you're running an offensive team.

Good luck!

Hey, nice team. However, there are some changes that can be made.

Infernape should have the Choice Band set that Zephyr described. Also, I recommend Moxie over Shed Skin on Scrafty. Moxie will enable Scrafty to be a potent sweeper with only 1 Dragon Dance.

Also, 276 Speed EVs on Zapdos is illegal, EVs cannot go over 255 in one stat. But then if you reduce Speed to 252, your total is still over 510. It seems you're trying for an offensive set, so I recommend 4 HP/252 SpAtk/252 Spe.

Thanks for the rate guys. I found all rates to be extremely helpfull Especially Zephyrs, the switch from CS to CB made a huge impact. and for those who thought i really was using 276 speed......its a typo...... and as for specs latios, i rather have that defensive backbone to it but ill give it a shot.
