When battling over WiFi, are there any regulations that balance the levels? Also, what are the parameters for the different link battle rules?


I've had the game since it came out, but havent' battled over wifi yet, nor have i found any description of the wireless battle rule sets(there are a handful). Any help would be appreciated, thx.

They don't have rules. Only a Lv.50 or Lv.100 feature (or Free battle of course) and voice chat

thank you for clearing that up, those would be the wifi parameters. But, there are actual "rule sets" that you can choose for (link) battles that have no description in the manual.

no there are actual rule sets, you can see for yourself. Boot up pokemon pearl/diamond--------go to the top floor of a pokemon center--------talk to the lady all the way on the right--------pick "single battle"---------then it lets you pick from various sets of rules which are as follows; No Restrictions, Standard Cup, Fancy Cup, Little Cup, Light Cup, and Double cup.

are ghost moves considered on special attack? if that is so then a dusknoir would be a bad pokemon because it has a high attack that is wasted and a low special attack.
