Yeh I change my team alot tbh... But hey its worth it if you wanna get better. And this is the first team I have ever had that doesn't have jolteon in it as I'm trying to not use him anymore even though he is my favorite pokemon he's pretty shit. The only original pokemon I have from my previous team is Infernape and Gliscor. So here it is.
Thanks guys :)
The Team Building Process;
I knew I really wanted these two on my team so I was sure to build a team around them
I alway's need a bulky water on my team and one that can hit hard, Swampert was perfect.
I needed another bulky pokemon and obviously Ferrothorn is just amazing.
I still wanted an Eeveelution as I'm a big fan of Eevee and also someone who can get entry hazards away. Espeon seemed right for the job.
Meet my new favorite pokemon. He blocks Rapid Spin and hits hard. And he looks like The Joker just saying...
So, putting them in the correct order you get:
The Lead
Espeon [Cats] (F)@ Light Clay
Ability: Magic Bounce
Nature: Timid
EV's: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
~ Reflect
~ Light Screen
~ Hidden Power[Fighting]
~ Psychic
Oh Espeon, what a marvelous pokemon you have become. Thanks to Magic Bounce, she has become a lot better, and I mean a lot better. In my opinion, I think she's better than any old Rapid Spinner, but that is just my opinion. Thank to her high speed and quite good special defence, she can set up Reflect and Light Screen very well. HP[Fighting] deals with the popular leads such as Tyranitar and Ferrothorn. Psychic is for a clear STAB.
The Physical Wall
Swampert [HydroQuake] (M)@ Leftovers
Ability: Torrent
Nature: Relaxed
EV's: 240 HP / 216 Def / 52 SpD
~ Stealth Rock
~ Ice Beam
~ Earthquake
~ Scald
Basically, he set's up Stealth Rock and takes hits while hitting the opponent hard. Ice Beam handles Dragons and Grass types. Scald is for STAB and a possible chance of burning the opponent. Earthquake is also for STAB. Just a great simple pokemon.
The Special Wall
Ferrothorn [ThornPod] (M)@ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
Nature: Sassy
EV's: 252 HP / 48 Atk / 208 SpD
~ Spikes
~ Leech Seed
~ Gyro Ball
~ Power Whip
The God of the metagame at the moment and for a good reason. Amazing bulk and power really does get you far in this gen. And with Rocky Helmet and Iron Barbs, any opponent that uses a physical attack will be in deep shit. Set's up Spikes, gets Leech Seed up and running and then he begins to show everyone his true power. A max power Gyro Ball is amazing and STAB Power Whip works wonders too. Gamefreak really have made an amazing pokemon.
The Physical Attacker
Gliscor [Bats] (M)@ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Nature: Impish
EV's: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spe
~ Swords Dance
~ Earthquake
~ Ice Fang
~ Taunt
Now this is where the battle starts to get fun! After everything's set up Gliscor comes in to get some sweeps down, and with his bulk he can be hard to stop. After at least one Sword Dance, he will be able to 2HKO/OHKO any dragon type after Stealth Rock and possibly Spikes damage. STAB Earthquake can handle a lot of pokemon after Sword Dance also. Taunt stops pokemon in their tracks and helps him sweep easier.
The Special Attacker/Spin Blocker
Gengar [Joker] (M)@ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
Nature: Timid
EV's: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Substitute
~ Thunderbolt
~ Shadow Ball
~ Focus Blast
Ohh this pokemon is so cool I love it! I'm using his classic set for a good reason, Thunderbolt. I need to take care of Gyarados and various other water types. Substitute is obvious for this set. Shadow Ball is for a good hard STAB. Focus Blast deals with Steel types. Just love this guy.
The Mixed Attacker
Infernape [BlazeKill] (M)@ Life Orb
Ability: Blaze
Nature: Naive
EV's: 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe
~ Overheat
~ Close Combat
~ Mach Punch
~ Stone Edge
The Mixed Attacker who can break walls easily and cleans up the match. STAB Overheat OHKO's steel types easily. STAB Close Combat does the same but also handles dark types. Mach Punch hits scarf pokemon and weather teams. Stone Edge handles varios Dragon/Flying types.
