From what I have heard, I can withdraw one and battle with it to infect a Pokemon I want to EV train. Does this really work? Will the Pokerus really not wear off when I withdraw the infected Pokemon a few months from now?

At midnight (and only midnight) in the game, the game checks to see if any party Pokemon have Pokerus. If they do, they lose it. If they're protected from it wearing off in the PC when midnight rolls around, they won't.

Thanks very much, also if a male pokemon learns a TM move by leveling up, can you breed that move to an offspring? Or can you only breed moves that you actually use the TM?

Also i forgot to tell that the move that is also a TM that the male learns by level up is not on the offspring's egg move list and the offspring can only learn the move with a TM.

Also about the sneasel learning ice punch and pursuit, is it possible to do that? Abomnasnow learns ice punch and floatzel pursuit. If you got each move into the right egg group can you breed it onto the sneasel? I can't figure out how you would.

The only possible way to get both Ice Punch and Pursuit on Sneasel without the use of Emerald is catching a Smeargle in DP.

So i can I trade the abomnasnow and floatzel to a friend and battle with him and get him to use the moves and just copy them?

Unless something's changed in DP, Sketch doesn't keep moves copied during link or WiFi battles.

Just find an in-game double battle that's easy enough, send out Smeargle and Abomasnow\Floatzel, then Sketch your partner's moves.

I was looking at Pokemonelite2000's D/P back sprites when I came across Gastrodon's:

WTF? That retarded thing doesn't look like Gastrodon's back to me. I remember watching a video on Youtube where someone was using a Gastrodon in battle and I swear it didn't look like that. So, is this thing really Gastrodon's back sprite?

It's leftover data.

say ive got a staraptor who already has its ev's maxed out in the 1st position for killing stuff, and then i have a pokemon i want to EV train with the pokerus and exp share in another spot. if i kill stuff with the staraptor, will the pokemon with exp share still get EV's?

Ah, thanks for the answer! Thats great news, all I have to do is withdraw the Pokemon during the day sometime then and make sure its boxed before I quit for the day...

And about that Gastrodon leftover sprite, looks like they intend for Gastrodon to continue changing forms. Expect to see that form in the 5th gen games...

it would breed the moves... ex: my rhydon learned stone edge and earthquake. it breeded with a female rhyhorn and all the offspring know stone edge and earthquake.

It works, it was just prevented from being brokenish. Once you choose Pursuit as an attack on a CBer, you cannot switch moves even if your opponent does in fact switch pokemon that turn, causing Pursuit to deal double damage. In fact, I think the JAP version was a little odd.

Anyway, when you battle on WiFi, which avatar appears for yourself? You, the main character (boy/girl hero), or your specific avatar (Bug Cather, Rich Boy)?

I just caught the Pokerus, which is still kinda useless since Im still playing ingame. I immediately infected 5 random Pokemon from my boxes and placed them in a whole seperate box by themselves. Will they keep it forever if I keep them in there?

Can you only get pokerus one pokemon at a time? I just got pokerus a few minutes ago...

...and all the members of my team had it. All six.
(Could be that one of them got it a long time ago, and spread it around a lot before I got to a pokemon center...)

Pokerus starts off on one poke and will then spread to thw others in your party once you've gotten into a few battles. My experiences seem to show that itll infect one pokemon in your party per every two battles your in. Also, the pokes adjacent to the infected on get it first.

On an unrelated note, does anyone have a list of the trainers you can battle for specific EV training? I remeber seeing something on it before but can't find it now.

I'm looking into using Vaporeon as a Hazer, Wish Support.

Should I use Roar or Haze on Vaporeon?
Does Roar work on Substitutes? What advantage does Haze have over Roar & Vice-versa?

Roar works on Substitute.

Roar will deal Spikes/Stealth Rock damage to your enemy if you have them. It will also leave your (possible) stat ups alone.

Haze will work against Pokemon with Soundproof/suction cups and will also remove Double Team. It is also dependent on your speed, so say you could haze a Curselax without getting hit hard.

Question on Rhydon -> Rhyperior.

I have a good Rhyhorn that I plan on evolving into Rhyperior. I have the protector, but am I supposed to trade to evolve it? If so, how do I know if it will have hard-rock? Is it 50/50, or do all rock-heads evolve into hard rocks? If it's 50/50, and I have to trade, but it turns into a lightningroder, will I have to go back and get another perfect rhyhorn, and another protector, since there's auto-save after trades?
