April showers bring May...AP Testing!

I only took AP US History. If you want to get through college faster they're awesome. AP classes are also essentially required if you want to get into Duke or McGill or what have you. Otherwise it's good to remember that an A in Environmental Biology is better than a C in AP Environment Science, so don't kill yourselves.

this makes me once again breathe a sigh of relief for not being American.
Sometimes I wonder if we're doing it all wrong. All jokes about Americans aside, AP testing is a blur and I only took mine a year ago. SATs are god, as well as any other standardized test imaginable. No child left behind, of course. I would have enjoyed myself so much more if I hadn't made the college search process my life.

AP calc-2 I can't add
AP bio-4 Bio major, baby!!
AP english-3 11th grade
ap english-2 12th grade
ap art history-4

I took Calc AB yesterday. Multiple Choice wasn't that bad, but the Free Response fucked me. I'm probably borderline 2/3, and to pass you need to score at least a 3. I don't really care either way, though.

Last year I took:

AP US History - 5
AP European History - 5

Six hours of standardized testing in one day isn't a very good idea.

This year I'm taking Latin: Catullus/Ovid and Bio. I doubt I'll do well, as I haven't studied for Bio at all :/

Exact opposite of Tuesday's AP Computer Science A exam. Multiple Choice was a lot harder than the Free Response; the Free Response took me half of the allotted time to complete.

Next year is AP Computer Science B and AP Calculus BC.

Fuck the Free Response man ._. i felt good about the MC but then came along the free response. i should start another thread to get help on those problems but we're not suppose to discuss them yet.

Computer science B was tough. There were a LOT of questions on recursion, which is pretty time consuming. The free response was quite easy though. Four overall, wish I knew whether I was close to a five or not.

AB Calc was extremely easy...took it last year and got a five. Nothing else to say about this one.

This year, I only took the English Lit AP. Took it this morning, felt pretty good about it. We'll see what happens.

Haha, yeah, I believe now the two day limit has expired, so we can discuss the free response. But we can never talk about the multiple choice, for as long as we live. Or they will hunt us down. :(

I got kind of annoyed when I saw a polar integral on the BC Free Response section since those were possibly my weakest area in class, but that actual question was pretty easy and overally I'm confident I did well enough for a 5. I still have English Language next week which I haven't really prepared for at all, so I doubt I'll match my Calculus score there.

Yesterday, I took my very first AP exam, which was English Literature and Composition. I am only in 10th Grade, and I took it because my school is excellerated in their studies. It was about medium in difficulty, a lot of terms I didn't quite know (like juxtaposition >_>), but I handled the essays very well because I think I'm a very skilled writer. I wrote the open response about The Catcher in the Rye. Anyone from New York who had this same exam as I?

What were the open ended questions Saint?

I missed my AP exam today and my school gives them for free but if you miss you owe the fee (80$). =/
Now to find a way to get out of this..

First one was two poems, comparing and contrasting how they get their messages across to children (The Barred Owl by Richard Wilbur, and The History Teacher by Billy Collins), the second was analyzing how this excerpt shows a relationship using point of view, selection of detail and syntax, and the last was about a work of literary merit in which the main characters past reflects on his different attitudes, values and actions.

We are, I just don't really take care of all my spelling errors on the internet. Good attempt at trying to be funny though, sad it didn't work.

Uhm, this is Orion from DuelistGroundz...the one who was going to lend you some cards for Philadephia.

Good luck on your exam.

today was the ap american history exam.

The multiple choice wasn't too bad. The first bunch were simple. Only to be followed by a group of really hard ones. But i i think i did pretty good on them.

Killed the essay on change in agriculture 1865-1900. I think i did pretty good on back country rebellions in the eighteenth century. My essay on how Teddy Roosevelt chanigng the view federal government was ehhh. Mostly because i had to rush due to me being a complete idiot writing my first two essays in pencil. So i had to copy them over them in pen. Time ran out when i had only one more sentence of my second essay to copy. Which was "The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time with the blood of patriots and tyrants." by thomas jefferson reffering to my rebellion essay. I was so happy i was able to remember it. He said 'stop writing' and i looked up and said 'i have one line left and you will let me copy it'. Then he said nothing and i copied it and handed in my test.

Not too bad all i have left is AP physics and i'm looking foward to that one.

I doubt I'll do well, as I haven't studied for Bio at all :/

I did no studying for Bio last year and got a 5... the exam isn't difficult at all.

Anyway Euro MC was pretty easy, I have usually gotten 70-75/80 correct on these so I'm not worried. The DBQ was pretty fair and so were the first 3 groups of thematics... but SHIT #5-7 were complete shit. I chose 5 and wrote absolute bullshit. I just hope that doesn't weigh me down too much. Anyone else take this?

About the english Lit & Composition...

I got into a heated debate:

which is better to show obsession with the past: gatsby or death of a salesman?

i have psych on tuesday but the practice tests and stuff that i have taken were a joke so im not too worried.

i didnt take it, but i heard that the euro test was not especially difficult. according to my sister, who took it, it looks like it is pretty much common sense, like human geography was last year (i got a 4 on that one).

Took my AP Euro History exam on Friday. I opened up the multiple choice section and, low and behold, knew absolutely NOTHING about the first question. After cursing quite a bit, I skipped that question and the rest of the test was ridiculously easy.

AP English, AP Bio and AP US History next year! Its going to kill me! :D
