Equip a Shieldon!

I got a Shieldon today and I am just thinking if when it evolves it will be useful. I think some trainers ay find it useful and some who don't. I wonder movesets are perfect for it...Can you actully think of any?

Maybe you think every Pokemon blows. But Bastiodon does not. It tries to go on to be very tough on every team. Besides it can learn Earthquake and it is very a heavyweight Pokemon.
 
See now, this would be cool in Firebot, but here we actually has to be serious internets types.

Bastiodon is a pretty poor pokemon because it's one and only gimmick is Metal Burst. Its attack stats are utterly feeble and it has a bad list of weaks. I look forward to seing Bastiodon in NU though, NU always needed a good wall.

Problems:
1) His atk is absolute trash and Earthquake won't do much from that
2) Earthquake and Close Combat are common. Even if this thing isn't gonna be OU these are still common in the other metagame.
3) IMO it's ugly and it blows.I can't change your opinion, but that's my opinion on it. It learns many offensive moves but doesn't have the capability to use them
 
Flash Cannon is still bad.
This thing's offensive stats are worse than Umbreon, so this thing can't really dent anything OK it will OHKO Deoxys-Atk but yeah anybody could do that, including a Kakuna if it switches on CBSuperpower lol
 
You know, outside of the gimmick Focus Sash Endeavor sets, every Pokemon used competitively is lvl 100. Bastiodon's SpAttack is as horrid as its Attack so Flash Cannon on him is useless. Heck, every purely offensive move is. The only set I could see "working" is something along Taunt / Metal Burst / Twave (does it even learn TWave?) / Stealth Rock/Filler.

Basically he's just a worse Aggron, as was put in before.
 
Yes, but you'd still have problems hurting things even under curse, and the opponent could always attack on the special side.

If this thing is NU then it might work, but even then you can't count on it.
