remember people, they're called "Pokemon Black Version 2" and "Pokemon White Version 2"--I know I said this earlier much earlier in the thread, but it's possible "Version 2" refers to Nintendo basically splitting the 3rd version of BW in two to keep up with BW's duality plot.

Pokémon Black 2 and White 2 (DS, June in JP, Fall in EU/NA/AU) - Updated May 12th

Please take out your Pokemon Black or White game cartridge and look at the game title listed on it. While you're at it, please look at the Japanese titles.
For the lazy: The actual English names of Pokemon Black and White are Pokemon Black Version and Pokemon White Version. In Japan the sequels are being called Pokemon Black 2 and Pokemon White 2. I think you can figure out the rest yourself.
And an Emerald style Frontier would be nice
The issue with your theory is that most games follow a slightly different plotline depending on the version, with Ruby and Sapphire being the most different. When Emerald came out, instead of picking a side they just crammed both plots into the same game. I suppose they could've decided to change the formula, but I'm thinking these will somehow be a direct sequel to the first two games.
Personally, I think the whole fusion idea is just about the stupidest thing Game Freak has ever done with Pokemon. I will admit, though, that the Black Kyurem thing has kinda grown on me.
I'm hoping, like just about everyone else, that you can get to Hoenn and there's move tutors. Another hope I'm holding is for Black Kyurem and White Kyurem to get Freeze Shock and Ice Burn. That'd be sick.
I'm definitely getting one (Or both) of those games.
Also, I don't know if this has been mentioned (Too lazy to read through all 22 pages), but I heard that the games were playable on any DS system. Just sayin'.

I haven't read every single post in this thread, so I apologize if this has been asked, but do we know if the move tutors will be returning yet?? There are a lot of moves that I'd love to see for the metagame, like roost, dark pulse, elemental punches (just to name a few).
Also, what I'm wondering is. Besides for getting two new kyurems to play around with, what more does this game offer (the metagame)??

The chance of being able to play with the new fusions is slim. Most likely you will defeat it in the story and catch regular Kyrurem with N getting his legendary back. I know that is disappointing, but I'd put money on it.
Ice was the "nemesis" of Ice in RBY. Besides, fuck logic, I want it that way and everyone would love it :<

I highly doubt that, since A. that would make a ton of fans mad and B. they've never done something like that before.
Also, another prediction of mine, but something tells me there'll be a big DW release (possibly even some new features) when it comes out.

anyway, yeah, they made Resh and Zek look utterly stupid, but on the plus side, maybe Kyurem will be viable in OU with those new forms like what happened with Rotom-W. Judging by the movie poster, Keldeo is going to figure prominently in the new movie, so maybe he's gonna come out along with Aura Sphere Virizion. I'm not counting on Meloetta and Genesect coming out anytime soon, though.
Defensively, having a fire/ice typing would actually be a good thing for kyurem. It will mean that he's not weak to scizor's bullet punch, and scizor won't be able to switch into him as easily.
I would LOVE for them to put hoenn in BW2 but if they did it would be a dumbed down version like kanto in GSC..

Another Idea I had is that you will start out as a completely new character, someone who is unestablished and meet up with the heroes of the last games as cameos much like red in gold/silver.

Though there is no mention of Genesect in the posters, and the P2 Lab has pretty much no use... hopefully BW2 will give that more use.

That's an interesting idea. Maybe there'll be some portal to Hoenn. Or maybe there'll be a portal that takes you to the Ice Gate or whatever it is in the new movie where Kyurem is and you can change its form to the version mascot form. No clue whatsoever.
Edit: checked official site again. It says to check back for updates throughout the year. I'm thinking this implies that B2 and W2 won't be released in US this year? Makes sense. Black and White were revealed summer...two years ago, was it?...and were released next spring. So maybe the games come out in US next spring. I know almost nothing. I'm guessing here.
And with this type of compeletly random and totally no base for this sort of thought I gladly leave this topic. I'm only coming back for new info (Which will probably get on Serebii quicker)
