RMT: Specially defensive

RMT: Specially defensive
*this is my first time posting a RTM
Im trying to build a team in which Gliscor is my main pokemon of choice used in the team. Gliscor is my second fav pokemon in the OU catagory.Blazkin being the first but by it being banned pokemon I chose to go with this guy to build my team around.Edited (hopefully this is better in terms of descriptions)

Gliscor@toxic Orb
Ability: Poison heal
Nature: Impish
EV:252 HP / 184 Def / 72 Spe
-Sword dance
-Protect
-Facade
-Earthquake

This is a standard sword dance set for Gliscor. I picked protect due to that gives me a
turn to gain the effect from poison heal stoping any pokemon that tries to induce any staus on me
I then use SD to start setting up my gliscor and EQ my choice stab. Facade is more for doing more
damage to anything that resists EQ and can still hit a decent amount of damage on steel stypes.

Slobro@leftovers
Ability:Regenerator
Nature: Bold
Ev:248 HP / 244 Def / 16 SpA
-Scald
-Slack off
-psyshock
-calm mind

Slobro i then added when i thought about what to do when im expecting a water or ice move on my gliscor I can sub him in take damage, then slack it off. After i could choose to set up a calm mind while taking damage getting healed with leftovers and using the odd slack off.after the second calm mind unless i get hit with a super-effective attack that is physical slobro will most likly survive it if at full hp or close to full.

Whimsicott@leftovers
Ability: Trickster
Nature: Impish
Ev:252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
-encore
-leech seed
-substitute
-taunt

If I feel that a pokemon will start to try and set up moves I figureed to add something that will not only annoy the other team but can act as a stall,
and prevent set ups. I have taunt in here so that I could stop pokemon that try to put on spikes. Sub+leech seed is more to heal+ stall

Tornadus@lifeorb
Ability:prankster
Nature: Timid
Ev:4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
-Hurricane
-Focus blast
-Taunt
-Tailwind

Most people would ask why a second Trickster pokemon? I say specialsweeper/set up for Heracross+glisizor. Hurricane is used for its stab tho it does have less accuracy
then Air slash I do see alot of rain teams causing it to go from the odd miss to almost never miss. Focus blast is for unexpecting pokemon thikning to subin to resist a alternative hp ice move or
Metagross. Taunt is used incase i come into contact with a faster trickster then my Whimsicott.

Heracross@flame orb
Ability: guts
Nature:Adament
Ev:252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
-Close combat
-Stone edge
-Megahorn
-Facade

Heracross is more like a double edge sword gaining more power with guts and flameorb to be able to sweep. I put him on my team mainly for more type coverage in the sense of being able to hit diffrent types
at a super effective rate. If I time this right guy out right with Tornadus having tailwind set up heracross can become a great late game sweeper. He also makes a great Sableye trickster counter or many dual screen counters.

Virizon@Life orb
Ability: justified
Nature: Timid
Ev:4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
-Calm mind
-Focus blast
-Giga Drain
-Hidden Power

Virizion was put in my team due to my previous pokemon I had in here(moxie gyrados) as a filler my team ran into a great wall only known as jelliciant it was then when I figured to put this pokemon on my team to act specificly for it.
Anyother counters/super effectives It produces are a added bonus.

This is the team I call specially defensive. I try it online or with people and i can then sweep as good as 6-0 but at times I can lose as badly as 0-6. Could someone rate my team and tell me what my main counters for this team I built are and
what are my main risks/threats that my team will face.

read the rmt rules before posting. improve your descriptions otherwise your thread will be locked. also some pokemon are incomplete so be sure to check those errors the minute you read this post.

Replace Whimscott with Bulk Up Breloom, to help with multitude of weaknesses such as Volt Turn

Breloom (M) @ Toxic Orb
Trait: Poison Heal
EVs: 252 HP / 232 SDef / 24 Spd
Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
- Bulk Up
- Spore
- Drain Punch
- Seed Bomb

Replace Slowbro with Politoed, to help your team hit harder with water moves, while helping Breloom with his fire weakness, while giving your Hurricane 100% accuracy

Politoed (F) @ Choice Specs
Trait: Drizzle
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Ice Beam
- Hydro Pump
- Surf
- Hidden Power [Grass]

Gliscor can be replaced by a Jirachi, to give your team a Dragon Type resist, while Jirachi can abuse Serena Grace and 100% accuracy Thunder in the rain.

Jirachi @ Leftovers
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 HP / 116 Def / 140 Spd
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Calm Mind
- Water Pulse
- Thunder
- Substitute

Then, give Tornudas Choice Specs, and give him Rain Dance / Grass Knot, your choice, while Rain Dance may seem like an odd choice, it can allow you to set up rain after Politoed dies if you have to fodder him off for some reason.

Next, you need Stealth Rocks, and Spikes support, so go with a Ferrothorn, who can set up both, and only takes x2 from Fire moves in the rain instead of x4, replace Heracross with this guy.

Ferrothorn (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SDef
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Stealth Rock
- Spikes
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball

(Make Ferrothorn IVs 0)

Then, replace Starmie with Virizion, so you can abuse Starmie's STAB Hydro Pump in Rain, and abuse Starmie's Thunder as well

Starmie @ Life Orb
Trait: Illuminate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Hydro Pump
- Thunder
- Rapid Spin
- Ice Beam / Recover

I hope you enjoy the suggestions I have layed in front of you ...

Don't listen to MyNameIsSPS. He didn't rate your team, he basically told you to just make a new one. Rates should only change what's necessary.

I don't have time right now for a real rate. I should be able to make one tomorrow though. Expect some changes, but not too many.

Oh okay thank you i was gonna say my team focus was on glisizor team, ill look forward for it then

A threat I spotted was any Variant of Starmie. Since your likelihood of seeing a Starmie without Surf/Hydropump+TBolt+ Ice Beam is very slim, he carries a move that is supereffective against your whole team minus Heracross, who will stilll take loads of damage from STAB Water move. Also, your team has no form of hazards or a dragon resist. I suggest switching Virizion with Ferrothorn for those reasons.
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers
Nature: Sassy (+SpDef -Spd)
Trait: Iron Barbs
EV's: 252HP/ 88 Def/ 168 SpDef IV's: 0Spd
-Stealth Rock
-Spikes
-Gyro Ball
-Power Whip
Yeah this guy is awesome. Not only is he a great answer to the ubiquitous rain teams, he also provides you important resistances and hazards which really help your team function. Tweak the EV's if you feel he is too Specially Defensive orientated and put some more in Defense. 0 Spd Ev's= Uber strengh Gyro Ball, Power Whip for another high power STAB move
Hope I helped

Well Valin, I promised you a rate and here it is!

Asek's Ferrothorn suggestion is an excellent one; Ferrothorn is an incredible wall that fits onto almost any team. However, I'd use a slightly different set, with Thunder Wave and Leech Seed over Stealth Rock and one offensive move of your choice. (Just so you know, Ferrothorn can have any two of Leech Seed, Spikes and Stealth Rock, but not all three. This is due to breeding illegalities.) I would also use a Relaxed nature on it and removing Slowbro to make room for it - as excellent of a wall as Slowbro is, it doesn't really bring anything to your team. This Ferrothorn makes an excellent teammate for your Heracross, providing paralysis support and Leech Seed support in some cases.

Well, okay, maybe Slowbro DOES bring something in - a bulky Water type. Now that Slowbro is gone, your team has a big weakness to Fire and Ice. I can recommend two Pokemon here. First, Whimsicott is now just about useless, as all of its moves are being used by something else (sans Encore). I recommend using a bulky Rotom-Wash. Rotom-W is an excellent Pokemon in today's metagame, taking resisted attacks all over the place and hitting back pretty hard. Rotom-W can also hit Jellicent super effectively with either Volt Switch or Thunderbolt. Now that Rotom-W is here, you should add an offensive Heatran to the mix. Defensively, Heatran is immune to Poison and Fire type attacks, the latter of which could cause huge problems otherwise. Heatran resists many types, but most importantly Grass and Ice. Heatran is perhaps the best way to beat Sun teams. Offensively, Heatran is a powerhouse - a 120 BP STAB move backed by 130 Special Attack is nothing to scoff at. Heatran is also able to learn Stealth Rock, freeing up a moveslot on Ferrothorn. Virizion is probably the best Pokemon to remove for Heatran.

Otherwise, this is a solid team. It's always cool to see someone use a Heracross!

Slowbro --> Ferrothorn
Whimsicott --> Rotom-W
Virizion --> Heatran
Ferrothorn @ Leftovers / Shed Shell
Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 176 SDef
Relaxed Nature
- Spikes
- Leech Seed
- Thunder Wave
- Power Whip / Gyro Ball

Rotom-Wash @ Leftovers
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 112 HP / 252 SAtk / 144 Spd
Modest Nature
- Hydro Pump
- Volt Switch / Thunderbolt
- Will-O-Wisp / Hidden Power [Fire]
- Pain Split

Heatran @ Life Orb
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd / 4 SDef
Modest / Timid Nature
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Ice] / Hidden Power [Grass]
- Stealth Rock
