haku, I think that would work. Check Froslass's Analysis thread to make sure

I have a Scarf U-Turner against a Weavile. I U-Turn to something, and Weavile uses Pursuit. Does the UT'er take the double damage from Pursuit, or does the new pokemon get hit by Pursuit with no boost?

I'd assume it's the second one, but I want to know for sure.

where is the area to learn past moves in dp?

And can some please explain how to pass down Cross Chop/Punches down to an Elekid? In steps, thnx.

It'll happen like this (if your Pokémon is faster):
Poké 1 Uses U-Turn and inflicts damage on Weavile
Weavile Hits Poké 1 with 2x Pursuit
Poké 1 switches out

If your Poké is slower than the Weavile:
Weavile hits Poké 1 with 1x Pursuit
Poké 1 hits Weavile with U-Turn
Poké 1 switches out

Can you give us the Snorunts current stats and level? It's impossible to decide if a Pokemon will make a good Pokemon competitively early on without knowing such.

Dude you've posted this 10 times!!!! Timid is Ok for Froslass but go Special Attack if your EV training it.

and how do you get the "e" with the little accent mark above it?

I already answered that question, you dont need to ask it another 2 times.

Boa1891- well, that sucks. I was hoping I wouldn't take a big hit when I U-Turn out (when faster than Weavile, yes). Thanks though

The thing is, you have to know the IVs. For all we know, it could have 0 Special Attack IVs, so test it out in a IV battle

Snorunt - #361 (Jolly)
HP: 20 - 22
Att: 9 - 11
Def: 14 - 16
SpA: 23 - 24
SpD: 28 - 30
Speed: 9 - 11

I would keep looking for a better Snorunt to use. Jolly isn't a good nature, and there's nothing special about it's IVs.

ok then can you tell me all good natures for it.

Azelf - #482 (Rash)
HP: 29
Att: 23
Def: 24
SpA: 26
SpD: 6
Speed: 22
Hidden Power: Fighting, 66BP

Keep or trash?

I know what it means in terms of IVs, but still, "Often scatters things"? What's that supposed to refer to?

So here's my shiny magikarp (it was the 4th pokemon I caught lol)

Magikarp - #129 (Adamant)
HP: 10 - 12
Att: 24
Def: 27
SpA: 23
SpD: 17
Speed: 30

So... would the bulky build still work with the below average HP IV? Or should I just go straight dd?

It's surprisingly good for a shiny though =)

You're forgetting the major thing Azumarill has going for him--superslow speed with 101 HP Subs and Focus Punch. It's a OHKO on Blissey or Snorlax and 2HKO on Skarmory. Deadly.

This was said in another thread and I couldn't ask what he meant before the lock. So I ask: what does superslow speed have to do with SubPunching? Is it a real advantage? Or is it just the lack of a disadvantage?

The idea is you can pull a sub up and not get it broken by your opponent's next attack because you're slower than your opponent, and then be able to focus punch safely. The idea has plenty of problems, of course.

But do you have prove of that? I mean has anyone prove that Pokerus double EV gain effect still linger on after the virus itself disappeared?

I have plenty of test evidence. I've EV trained lots of Pokemon thanks to Pokerus, and on occasion I've had a few lose Pokerus before I finish training it. When I finished training them with the same number of battles, they had the same stats that they would have even if they kept Pokerus. So we can conclude that the double EV effect remains after it disappears.

Sounds like I'll be using my protect / Substitute / Protect ninjask to pass a hell of a lot of speed to Azumarill then :-) (Simply because I know my friends don't use Hazers) Maybe a swords dance a well... if I can get a focus sash...
