I have plenty of test evidence. I've EV trained lots of Pokemon thanks to Pokerus, and on occasion I've had a few lose Pokerus before I finish training it. When I finished training them with the same number of battles, they had the same stats that they would have even if they kept Pokerus. So we can conclude that the double EV effect remains after it disappears.
That's sound very good and it ease the pain when I lose pokerus on one of my pokemon.

What is the difference between synthetic EV training and general grinding EV Training?

(Someone asked me this, i was really embarrassed when I didn't know the answer T_T)

Ok this doesnt really have anything to do with d/p but i like this topic for general pokemon Q/A. In pokemon emerald how much times do i have to go through the trick house thingy to get taunt?

And does the mother have to be a salamence for bagon to learn dragon dance or can a bagon be the mother? (wierd question i know but i duno)

For the abilities Water Absorb and Volt absorb. Do they grant immunity to water/electric attacks? Or do they heal after the pokemon takes damage?

If you want both Ice Punch and Cross Chop on the Elekid you're going to have to use Hitmonchan and Machop.

Just Cross Chop should be passed with the Electabuzz to a baby Elekid though.

I posted this on the "Look at what I bred" thread a while ago, and figured this would be the right place to ask this question:

These are the IVs on my Gyarados:

Gyarados - #130 (Adamant)
HP: 30
Att: 31
Def: 31
SpA: 13
SpD: 23
Speed: 31

What's the weakest base power of a pokemon with unstabbed-TBolt that can OHKO this(neglecting natures and EVs)? And STABed? My main fear is that its SpDef is too low and that Blisseys/random pokemon with unstabbed TBolt might be able to OHKO it. =\

Not even a max-IV Gyarados will survive many T-bolts unless it has some EVs. Your Gyarados is pretty damn good; those eight fewer points are not going to cripple it in the least.

My question got buried =[ Anyways, here's my shiny karp's ivs (pretty good for a shiny!)

Magikarp - #129 (Adamant)
HP: 10 - 12
Att: 24
Def: 27
SpA: 23
SpD: 17
Speed: 30

So... would the bulky build still work with the below average HP IV? Or should I just go straight dd?

Do Power Items raise EVs more than Macho Brace or is it the same?

Power items are + 4 in the respective item to the normal evs gained, while macho brace is x2 to the evs gained. Say you are battling a magikarp, which gives 1 speed ev, with power anklet, you would get 5 speed evs compared to 2 from macho brace. with pokerus, that would be 10 compared to 4. The new power items are much better to ev train with than the macho brace.

Blakos-No, don't keep the heatran. Go for a +sp. atk nature with a much better speed IV. Remember that synchronizers also work on heatran IIRC.
