Steel Biocore RMT

This team built around Regi Steel one of my favorite pokemon(that isn’t banned) and then I put the rest of my team together to support him. I added status effects, mainly burn and poison so that regi can then wall, and stall. Lastly I put some attackers to do damage of their own. This team has had a mixture in terms of success mainly putting it on here due to im hoping people can help fine tune the team and point out what I should change to make the team more efficient. One thing I do notice is that my Pokemon do seem to have a rough time when a heal bell pokemon is on the team...I can still beat it, just takes alot longer.

Rapid Spin

Tentacruel is my lead to set up toxic spikes, aside from that his use is more trivial. Rapid spin to get rid of entry hazards, protect to scout incoming attacks, and scald is hit STAB also if the poison didn’t get to them then the burn works just as well also. I Kinda count Tentacruel as my Suicide leader, since his use on the team is very minimal, and my reasoning for putting him on the team over other common spikes/rapid spinners is due to having to many of the same type weakness.

Iron Head

Sleep Talk

He is my main Pokemon of this team and who I base my teams around. I use his classic Mono attack set with a slightly different ev spread, and nature. Since Regi will be getting boosts in his defence I did not see the point in putting many ev’s into that stat instead into his S.Def so it can take a few more hits on the special side. The Strategy is pretty straight forward curse up, then heal up with rest, and sleep talk, simple yet effective and has made many people rage.

Gyrados is more of a mid-to-late game sweeper with his moxie ability, picking off weakened mons and gaining more attack as he kills them. The Sub and d-dance mainly come in if, many of my opponents pokemon have been paralyzed or whenever I am not to worried about being ohkoed, after a single DD he can do some pretty goot damage to many pokemon, that hopefully have a status issue.

Dusclops is my second of 2 roles, he is a semi wall and my burner tho being poisoned is better i personally find, steel and poison types are not affected by it so I will burn them i figured that relying on just one type of status will lead to openings especially when being faced with a common steel and poison typing pokemon...heatran and gliscor are 2 examples, if by some chance im able to outspeed gliscor(which has happened before enough to be reliable) i burn him so his poison heal doesnt kick in.

Dragonite is my parashifter/poison shifter with spikes out and his multiscale in play he can set up a sub then use dragon tail to shift them away(with spikes on the ground) the thunder wave is used for poke who are more a threat if they attack first. Roost his healing move when D-nite’s hp starts to dip low. Eject Button (tho most people would run a other item) I put in to do a “double” shift or even make them do a shift while I try to set up substitute throwing people off their game abit Aside from that I made his build more on the bulky side over the speed or damage side since being a shuffler with a negative priority move speed is almost pointless.

Mamoswine is my late game sweeper and one of my biggest factors i thought about was picking choice band over LO, I had run into times when he did get out-speed by other mons and with the lower hp getting ohkoed. Also I figured since he was a late game mainly he didnt have to worry to much about pokemon resisting him to much and focus on spamming Ice shard mainly for the rest of the round (unless they are weak towards EQ or SE)

Changes, I have tested this abit seeing as i do need a special sweeper also
Dnite->Thunduras-T

and changed Icicle crash for superpower, and subbed out my choice item for a life orb, latios/latias didnt seem to fit in so i tried a diffrent special sweeper, and personally didnt think it fits that well.

Im just going to bump this one last time, if not then im guessing that everyone thinks my team doesn't need any improvement made to it.

O was going to write a lot of info, but I will resume to two points. Is nice you are using favorites but when it comes to competitive battling you should stick to the metagame of your favorite. There are many Pokemon from UU to OU that wreck registeel. But this is not the point, the point is synergy. I can see Sun Teams causing havoc with Chlorophyll users and Fire Abusers. Also the added Therian Formes. Secondly You should switch the Choice Band in Mamoswine for a Life Orb putting Superpower instead of Icicle Crash, your team looks physically dependent as you have no special sweepers. You firstly should try to change the Dragonite for an expert belt with HP Fire, Thunderbolt, Psyshock and another move for filler.

You have no entry hazards, except for T-spikes, try using stealth rocks on the Mamoswine instead of Stone Edge. I should not say this but Skarmory is just superior to Registeel is every aspect as it can lay spikes, is a physical wall you might want, whirlwinds. Anyway the synergy between the mons is not that great at the stage this metagame is.

Resume:
1 change item on Mamoswine
2 use SR over stone edge and superpower over icicle crash
3 latios over dragonite, or maybe even latias with dragon dance (rare but really good)

There is some more but test any of these and then tell me how it went

thanks i did make a minor change, as i edited above, this works actually abit better then latios and latias I find, and I also changed mamoswine minus the stone edge-> stealth rock, since I find him more useful with SE

I did sub out D-night for a Latias, that is working pretty good, just still not to much up to par to what im looking for, as for synergy, I find the team works pretty good, on Pokemon showdown, it has had atleast 4x more wins then losses as for Registeel over Skarmory, depends on how you play them, tho I do agree, my team is not to par with the metagame, doesnt mean it cant stand toe-to-toe with a "metagame team".
The set im using for latias atm is a mono calm mind set.
Im not to worried about it being a all out attacker, just more of a check incase I come across a physical wall, that I cant break through and need to switch to specials. Leftovers was to give it abit more bulk over more punch.
Then I again changed it to latio as Trickzio suggested for a better coverage
Latios @ Choice Scarf | Levitate
Timid Nature | 4HP / 252SpAtk / 252Spe
Hidden Power [Fire] | Draco Meteor | Surf | Thunderbolt

@Electrolyte
you did read the post i did after i replied latias is alredy on my team over d-nite, and im aware of what people say about regi...as for the steel walling, thats why dusclops is there, he is kinda like a second wall.

As for registeel....he is if anything one of my main strong points on the team that is holding up in OU

Ugh, the lack of grammar in this thread is killing me.

Anyways, you have a nice team there, but one glaring weakness I see here is SubSD Terrakion. Once he gets a Substitute up, it's pretty much game over as everything from there on is 2HKOed by either Stone Edge or Close Combat.
For this reason, I suggest Scarf Latios over Dragonite. Scarf Latios can effectively revenge kill SubSD Terrakion (provided it doesn't have a Sub anymore) with Surf or Draco Meteor, as well as revenge killing almost anything else, as with it's wide movepool its counters are few and far between.

Latios @ Choice Scarf | Levitate
Timid Nature | 4HP / 252SpAtk / 252Spe
Hidden Power [Fire] | Draco Meteor | Surf | Thunderbolt

Good luck!

@ Trickzio hey thanks, i did notice that that latios set really helps, subdd terrakion does make it harder for my team unless he is used late in the game or brought in with a +1 Curse registeel where even after getting off a DD, as long as I boost with him it will take awhile for him to chip away even tho being able to hit super effective.
