This is my second version of the Power Of The Dragons team. It's a hyper-offensive team that I've found to be quite successful. A few changes have been made since my first team, which can be found here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=3468913
Ferrothorn (F) Rocky Helmet
Ability - Iron Barbs
Impish Nature
252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SpD
- Power Whip
- Gyro Ball
- Leech Seed
- Spikes
I use Ferrothorn as a physical and special wall. Due to her massive bulk in both areas, she is able to take a hit (albeit not from fire attacks) and shrug them off with a laugh, even healing back most of the damage done using Leech Seed. I then proceed to set up Spikes, then go on the offensive with Power Whip and Gyro Ball, both hitting pretty hard for a defensive wall. Ferrothorn is even able to OHKO multiple Pokemon whom are weak to her STAB attacks.
Conkeldurr (M) Leftovers
Ability - Guts
Adamant nature
120 HP / 252 Atk / 136 SpD
- Drain Punch
- Payback
- Mach Punch
- Bulk Up
By using a Bulk Up set, I treat him as a bit of a wall. After one or two Bulk Ups, he can heal fully nearly any physical attack thrown at him using Drain Punch, while at the same time dealing massive damage and often either OHKO-ing the opponent or getting damn close to it, to which I can finish it off using Mach Punch. Payback is thrown in there to deal with those pesky Ghost types like Jellicent, Gengar, and Chandaleur, and also to deal with Reuniclus, which many seem to expect they can use Calm Mind instead of Psychic on him safely. Nasty surprise they tend to get.
Scizor (F) Choice Band
Ability - Technician
Adamant Nature
248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 SpD
- Bullet Punch
- U-Turn
- Brick Break
- Pursuit
One of the newest members of my team. She has proven so helpful and so powerful, adding both momentum and brute force to my team in the ever-so-useful form of priority. U-Turn is used in combination with both Volt Switch from Forretress and U-Turn from my Hydreigon. I'm using Brick Break on this set because, sadly, I'm unable to get Superpower onto Scizor since it requires the previous generation, which I no longer own. However, the review on Scizor listed Brick Break as a good alternative. Not only does it still hit fairly hard, it won't lower any of her stats, and it will break through Reflect and Light Screen if they are up. So I still personally find it useful.
Starmie - Leftovers
Ability - Natural Cure
Timid Nature
252 SpA/ 4 SpD/ 252 SpE
- Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Thunderbolt
- Rapid Spin
I ended up removing my Hydreigon from the team, and replaced him with Starmie. Starmie is able to hit nearly as hard, be a bit more bulky, and Rapid Spin away any spikes or stealth rocks that may be on my side of the field. Because of it's massive speed, it can revenge kill just as well as Hydreigon ever did, if not even better due to the massive coverage it has in it's moves, while at the same time not being locked into a single move or being forced to switch out due to having weakened stats from a Draco Meteor.
Hydreigon (M) Choice Scarf
Ability - Levitate
Timid Nature
4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
- Draco Meteor
- Fire Blast
- Focus Blast
- U-Turn
The first of my Dragon types. I use Hydreigon to punch holes in my opponent's team as quickly as I can bring him in. Or simply to scout using U-Turn. His speed and U-Turn also provide great momentum for the team when combined with Scizor's U-Turn, and can really confuse and damage my opponent. This is overall a very common set for Hydreigon, so I don't think much else needs to be said.
Dragonite (F) Lum Berry
Ability - Multiscale
Adamant Nature
252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Outrage
- Fire Punch
- Earthquake
- Dragon Dance
My main powerhouse of the team and my prized member. She is always able, like Volcarona, to get off at least one Dragon Dance and often more than that with proper Rapid Spin support, then turn around and blast away the opponent's team using the great coverage of her moveset. Using Fire Punch and Earthquake first if there are any steel types left, then proceeding to sweep with Outrage.
