Query Numero Uno: What is the whole deal with that "mysterious stone" thing at the end of the route after the Elite Four? I pressed A on it and it just said "This rock has been polished." or something to that effect. Is it a time thing?

OK, so I have been noticing alot that people like to have pokemon with the Guts ability and say they like send them out against a WoW, or have them hold flame orb. The DP analysis has a Guts Machamp holding Flame Orb, but doesnt burn cut the attack stat? Or does guts negate that.

Past that rock is the path to Shaymin, so it's just there to block your way until you unlock the event.
Gut's negates the attack reduction, IIRC.

Each egg has an egg counter, and every 255 steps, the egg counter is checked for each egg and lowered by 1, unless an egg hatches. If an egg hatches, the rest of the eggs don't get checked until the next time you complete 255 steps. So if your eggs are in slots 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6 of your party, and egg 2 hatches, then all the other eggs don't get a check. However, if egg 5 hatches, only 6 fails to receive a check.
How much of a stat do you lose if your stat goes down one level during a battle?
Its completely dependent on your stats.
Boost defenses, its got enough Hp as it is.
I'd just like confirmation on the tier status of Azelf...I noticed how badly mine rapes everything in the battle tower and I can imagine it being in the Uber tier, but I hope not because I soft reset a shameful amount of times to get one that good, and I'd like to use it often...

If you are at neutral and drop one stage, you will be at ~66.6% of your original stat. If you drop one more time, you will be at 50%.
The easy way to calculate it (if you have a talent for math or a calculator) would be to divide 1 by the corresponding positive boost. One stage up is 50% boost, which is 150% total, or 1.5x. 1 divided by 1.5 is ~66.6% (.666). 1/2 is obviously 50%(.5). 1/2.5 is 40% (.4). It continues all the way to 6 stat downs, which is 1/4 (or 100%/400%), which is .25 (or 25%).
Lustrous/Adamant Orb give a 20% bonus to the respective pokémon's STAB attacks.
I believe soul dew gives a 50% bonus to spatk for Latios or 50% to spdef for Latias.

I wouldn't bet my life on it, but IIRC it does both for both.
I could swear Lustrous/Adamant's bonus was 25%.
