First sorry if i have posted this in wrong thread. Played pokemon for a while on the cart but only just starting to get into ev training and getting quality pokemon to use on wifi.
Ok i have a heracross with pokerus caught at safari zone ruby
i input details on metalkids caculator
but i dont quite understand stats
if anyone could explain briefly what i should be looking for/ at when i input pokemon stats.

You want the IVs to be 31, 'cause that's a perfect score.
Check IVs as soon as you obtan it, before ANY battles. Battling gives you EVs, which make the scores seem higher than they really are.

No, battling for EVS does NOT change the IV of your Pokemon. What you want to do is check the IVS before you get EVS, because by getting EVS and not inputting them on the metalkid calculator, you won't be sure if you have the right IVS or not. For more help, I suggest going into the Contributions/Corrections forum.
Theorically question, is it better to if one parent have 31 Iv on all it's stats or just two?
One parent with 31 IV in all stats will still have it very likely for the offspring to have 31 IV in all stats. A 31 IV Ditto in all stats is like a god.
So ifkill a magikarp and my pokemon has pokerus and macho brace it will be 4 SPD EVs for me.. right?
If they are breeding compatible (gender, egg groups) then yes.

macho brace plus pokerus means EV multiplied by 4?
I only have 7 on hand at the moment, so I use as many...but I'd go up to level 10 if I could.
You want to bump it to at least lv 20 for accurate IV's

If you save before getting the egg from the DCman, can you reset and rehatch the egg until it has the IVs you want?
