General Guidelines:

1) It shouldn't take more than Mon 10 to finish this, but ring me a pm if you do. Remember the faster we finish the faster we can start R1 and the tourney.

2) Everyone is a winner, this is just a lil round to improve your chances later on

3) No one take this seriously, your dissing pokemons in the end

4) GL, you'll need it :)

Optional Poll for rappers:

For later rounds should we:

A) Make it 1 week per round +2 times to ask for extensions (say 2-3 days)
B) Make it 2 rounds per month (2 month tourney in total)
 
Ah, that time limit... going to have to write something new now, haha. Mine's currently over 4 minutes long. Should still have it done by the 10th, though.
 
On second thought no need for a time limit in this round, the limit is there so nobody would complain that the other guys rap is longer or something, but this is a seeding round so there's no harm. There will be limits when the rounds starts however...
 
Well shit, I didn't even see this thread when I posted in the other one.

I've got my rap written, so I just need to record. I should have it up when I get home tonight.

Got rap written. youtube-mp3.org doesn't work anymore so i can't get beats illegally. :'( Anyone know of any other youtube converters? I could use some older beats, but I was planning some tempo changes and I can't find any the right speed. If not I'll just rewrite some bits and keep the tempo the same.
 
I ripped iff my beat just finalizing the lyrics and stuff, but we got two great entries to listen to so its all good.
 
My rap is 50% recorded, will post tomorrow.
As for the rounds, I'd prefer it to be fortnightly, but I don't know if people will lose interest. (seems we're losing interest already :/)

So yeah I guess were gonna try a round every two weeks option and see how it goes.

Also I don't know how I forgot this but everyone list their pokemon for round 1, and I'm only gonna wait for seed entries if you post here and tell me so.

Audacity is free recording software which is really easy to use. You can just download it, then drag a music file from your documents in (like a file downloaded from a youtube-converter). You can then record your voice over the top of the beat whilst it's playing. Most people don't use soundcloud for recording, just for uploading it afterwards.

That being said, lyrics on their own are generally accepted in this tournament but not many people seem to vote for them as they prefer to listen to recordings. Luckily, you will have done enough to get past the seeding round.

Seconding what Corkscrew said. Lyrics only entries don't tend to make it far with this sort of thing, which would be a shame since yours are pretty decent.
Decent enough that I decided to give you a free recording because I am such a nice person.

Soundcloud is super duper simple. Uploading is like 3 clicks and some rampant typing.
 
My computer's giving me trouble with uploading my rap to Soundcloud. I'll try again later tonight. Also, based on the length of the other raps posted, I cut mine down to a little over two minutes, instead of almost four.

I didn't bother with the speeding up and slowing down of the beats, instead I just did the bit I wanted faster in double time. 'Cos I'm lazy.

Wow, that was truly terrible, but it kept me from being disqualified (this is the last chance I have today to post). I'll put a lot more time and effort into the next one, which will be about Kabutops.
