Can we say the Lakers suck now?

Nah, if you were this late to the party you just have to stop watching basketball for being so wrong. If you did not deal with the snippy, ad hominem, petty, pejorative, self-indulgent self-adoration of Lakers fans as they took something objectively entertaining and made it personal then you do not get to jump in now >:(

The amazing thing was really how badly they handled it with the easiest schedule in the NBA to that point. So things were only going to get worse in the interim afterward.

Can we say the Lakers suck now?

Also, how do the Trail Blazers get so many nationally televised games?
You can, but you have to remember they are missing two pretty big pieces to their team atm. It also doesnt help that while not playing any D at all, they're only offense appears to be either a Kobe iso or a dump in to Dwight (who for some odd reason thinks he can shoot and doesnt take advantage of anyone anymore). Theres way too much basketball to be played for them to be written off this quickly

Can we say the Lakers suck now?

Everybody except Gabe is saying it right now.

Yeah, you can. I think it's more of a consistency problem though, because the Lakers have shown flashes of what they're supposed to be. They've had games where they completely kicked the shit out of the Mavs for example, but then games where they lost to the fucking Cavaliers.

The team has a lot of problems right now. No set rotations, two starting players out who are important to setting up the offense, too many turnovers, lack of effort, a not-yet healthy Dwight Howard, poor bench players, lack of a training camp, adjusting to a new coach, slowness, & too many plays that focus on perimeter shooting instead of post playing, where 3 of their best players excel at (Kobe, Pau, & Dwight).

Things look bad, but I still believe they can fix things and get it going. Win or lose I'm a Laker fan and won't jump on to any other team because they're losing.

A lot of people are ready to count out the Lakers and Celtics, but they struggled last year around the same time and I believe both teams will be doing better by March like they were last year as well. I've been impressed by the Knicks, but I don't believe they can keep up the outside shooting they've been doing. It'd be cool to see Carmelo get a ring though. The Spurs are the same team every season -- they do well in the regular season but don't quite have enough to make it all the way. People shouldn't get so excited right now, it's way too early to make any assumptions about anything. But they will, I guess.

At this point the only team that truly looks like it has it together and can sustain its level of play is the Thunder. The Thunder aren't as reliant on perimeter shooting like the Knicks are, are mostly composed of young guys that can stay healthy, have a great point guard in Westbrook, and a real closer in Durant. Durant can do pretty much everything, he's a better scorer than anyone in the league (Yes, better than Lebron, Kobe, and Melo) and has the same killer instinct Jordan and Kobe have. He's legit. Right now it's looking like they win their division, the West, and the finals.

Lakers win their second straight game, with Kobe scoring 30+ again.

Dwight Howard shoots 100% from the free throw line (3/3)

yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Fuck Eli Manning.

And this time they played well. Not perfect, but well enough. Looking forward to Pau coming back and Nash soon after. Things are finally looking up.

Btw, Damian Lillard is outplaying Anthony Davis for ROY.

One main reason why OKC is better than last year: lasy year they had 3 main scorers, this year they have 4. Ibaka's getting better as years go by, I won't be surprised if one day he'll be the one of the best power forwards around.

Yes I did. He's consistently scoring for the Thunder. I have watched every Thunder game this year and last year, and I have seen many plays designed for him this year, whereas almost none in previous years. He's averageing 14.6 a game, quite close to 16ppg of Martin and 16.8ppg of Harden last year. Depends on your definition or standards though.

I see a scorer as a person who can get their own bucket. Ibaka is a jumpshooting, athetlic big who plays off of scorers; not the other way around bro.

Well, they won. The Bobcats played well for the most part too. Dwight looked out of focus a lot though... He needs to get it together. Also, Kobe is the only other 34 year-old besides Dr. J & MJ to play six straight 30+ games & I believe the first in NBA history to do it seven games straight. That's amazing, & even though he has the fourth highest PER rating right now I'm not sure how long he can keep this up. Dwight & the rest of the team besides Metta have to step up.
