I always think that the quote from Team Galactic, "People should view things on a galactic scale." is the most ridiculous and stupidest quote I've ever heard.

Think about it, we view things on a "self scale." By doing that, we can actually do something. Viewing something on a "galactic scale" means you'll be pitying everything. You'll think it's too mean to eat a vegetable or cheerios. Not to mention, you'll have much underconfidence. I know this is confusing, but whatever.

Point is, Team Galactic doesn't really view things on a Galactic Scale, so I'll have to say that they are the evilest of teams in all 4 generations.

Are you freakin' kiddin' me? Team Rocket was the most evil. They created a freak of nature (Mewtwo) with human intelligence for the express purpose of manipulating it as a weapon to control the Earth.

All Aqua/Magma/Galactic wanted to do was make a better world, which they would accomplish by ruling it with the help of various ancient Pokemon.

TR just wanted to rule it.

I loved that quote! x( *points to sig*

The plotline for most Pokemon games were about as shallow as a kiddie pool (Colo and XD had decent plot, imo), so I wouldn't expect things to have such serious meaning. By "View things on a galactic scale", they probably mean "Make the galaxy a better place". The former sounds better though, which is probably why they went with it. That, and the name change of Galaxy -> Galactic from the JPN to NA release. Actually, I wouldn't be surprised if the original quote from the Japan release was "Make the galaxy a better place".

Rockets were more evil then Galactic. I mean, seriously. They have a song about how evil they are.

Rockets were also the only team to know that what they do is wrong, if you don't count Go-Rock or Cipher. Magma/Aqua just had very confused leaders, and the whole team was very confident that they were doing the right thing. Most if not all of Galactic grunts are all "Pokemon are tools!", but their boss also thinks that he is doing the proper thing, which put them below Rocket, because the Rocket boss knows that what Team Rocket does is wrong.

Cyrus (or whatever the Team Galactic leader's name was) wanted to wipe out the world to be ruler of it. Not to mention as I pointed out, Team Galactic = Liars. (the main reason, their quote)

Lol, Familiar Trainer, you were the reason I thought about the quote. Then I realized how ridiculously stupid it is. Get rid of that sig. :P

Team Rocket has idiots on their side.

But Rockets have a SONG stating their evilness. That has GOT to count for something, right? Note the lines at 1:40 - 1:49; "We're Team Rocket and we fight for what's wrong - for mayhem and madness and rare Pokemon". If they do that much, I doubt they'd be afraid to simply lie x)

Galactic's goal was to make a new world, one free of strife, pain, etc. Definitely falls under the confused about "making the world a better place" if you ask me. And for the record, that quote was my first love. No way would I abandon it.

*points to previous post* THEY CREATED MEWTWO. They created intelligent life for the sole purpose of controlling it so they could rule the world. Team Rocket is evil, although Giovanni isn't quite so intelligent when it comes to employment.

Team Rocket = Honest, since they admit it.

Team Galactic = Lies. None of them view things on a galactic scale, and no one should view things on a galactic scale. That's why it's a 'laugh in DP'.

Cyrus wanted to rule the world in an evil way as well, not to mention he cruelly caught the Mirage Pokemon.

However, I suppose Rocket wanted to rule the world in a more evil way as well, but they didn't want to destroy it. I'd rather have some maniac rule this world, than some maniac rule another world that I won't be on, and neither will you be on.

POKÉMON MON MON

And I think it's funny when I try to catch a shiny Buneary with Pokéradar and a Cascoon stops my chain in the 19th Buneary ._.

No, Cyrus wanted to rule the world in a good way. He was going to make himself ruler so he could be sure that nothing bad happened. I was surprised they didn't name him Noah.

But yeah, he could have been nicer to the Pokemon.

Since when did this thread become a debate?, lol.
But since it is, i'll bite. Team rocket is pretty evil (actually killing a pokemon!... fainting it was'nt enough?!) but i did'nt know team rocket also created Mewtwo!, i thought he was created by a lone scientest!, where did you hear that he was created by team rocket?!

......The first movie. :/
Even I know this and i hate the anime.

Oh, well the show(movie) is'nt part of the game's plot so i don't count it. besides i saw the movie when i was little you can't expect me to remeber that!, sometimes i forget what i ate!

In the game, it was the Cinnabar Island scientists who created MewTwo, so was there any proof Team Rocket were behind it?

This is going to be more and more unfunny...xD

Yes, unfortunately this is a silly debate.

Cyrus wanted to rule the world, but I don't care if he wanted to give candy to everyone anymore, he wanted to destroy this world, and make a new one for himself.

Team Rocket did not want to destroy this world and make a new one, they just wanted to keep this one.

(By this world I mean the Pokemon world or whatever.)

"I make it a policy to always wear a miniskirt!"

Battle Tower. True story.

Oh god yes I remember that. I was like, on the 20th one, all serious, when the girl pops out and goes " I make it a policy to always wear a miniskirt! " and I burst out laughing.

Like, what about I dunno, WINTER?

(I'm going add in my two cents to this ridiculous debate. Magma/Aqua weren't that bad. Aqua wanted more water. Magma wanted more land. Whoopee-freaking-doo. Galactic wanted to destroy the world and make a new one for their own selfish purposes, and Rocket created a killing machine born out of hate or whatever. I do think the Galactic is ridiculously un-evil in game, though. I don't even want to get into it.)

Not selfish purposes. They thought they were doing the best thing for everyone, and anyone against them be damned.

And the Cinnabar Island scientists belong to TR. In the massive underground TR base somewhere in the game you read a journal describing the cloning of Mew.
