Say you're in a wi-fi tournament, you encore something using Hypnosis. It uses Hypnosis, puts something of yours to sleep. You switch in something else, and it puts that to sleep too. That breaks sleep clause, right? But it's not like you can DQ for that... How is that handled in NetBattle/Competitor?
 
Does anyone know the damage calculation formula for Gyro Ball?

The last one I heard was Base Damage = Opponent Speed * 25 / User Speed

This was from four months ago, so I'm not if it is correct.
 
Okay, say I'm EV training Pokemon A.

Pokemon A goes into battle against the foe, which provides 1 EV, with Pokerus and a Power item. Pokemon A is then switched out with Pokemon B. Pokemon B knocks out the foe.

Does Pokemon A still gain 10 EVs?
 
What's a good physical set for Sceptile? I was thinking of this...

What is a good moveset for Burn Orb Swellow?

Well, I'm not exactly sure, but when would that situation arise? Who encores Hypnosis?
 
well how do you know the move your going to encore is hypnosis?


also another ditto question, what would happen to ditto after he uses transform if he was holding the item choice scarf?
 
Just to make it more airtight, let's say that either the Encore using was Lum Berry Wobbuffet or Smeargle (after using Spider Web to trap), thus preventing the Hypnosis user from just switching out.

Say (warning - EXTREMELY contrived and unlikely example coming up):

Breloom used Spore! Smeargle fell asleep!
Smeargle used Sleep Talk! Smeargle used Spider Web!

Breloom used Spore! Smeargle is already asleep!
Smeargle used Sleep Talk! Smeargle used Baton Pass!

Player 2 sent out (something slow).

Now Breloom is forced to break Sleep Clause, with nothing the player can do about it...
 
Oh, I see. That's a really good question.
Would that thing also work with Item Clause if you had a Trick Alakazam? Like if something on your team already has Lefties, you use Trick on something, they encore you and then switch, and then you're stuck using Trick again, maybe on something that already has Lefties.
