Ok, here's another one. I was looking at the Azumarill thread in the analysis boards and Focus Punch was listed as one of the options in the Choice Band set. I know how Focus Punch and Choice Band works, but I don't have much experience in competitive battling yet, so I was kind of puzzled to see Focus Punch there instead of, I don't know, Brick Break.

How do you go about using Focus Punch in a Choice Band set? Are you supposed to switch into a Pokemon that'll hopefully be scared off by Azumarill and Focus Punch the switch-in? Would that be any better than the no-gamble Brick Break, which can still 2HKO Empoleon with ease?

P.S. Superpower is not an option due to the legality issues concerning Aqua Jet.

For A Gyro Ball/Trick Room/Earthquake/Hypnosis Bronzong. Good?

BUT IT HAS HEATPROOF!!! is having heatproof over Levitate that bad?

Basically you've got the right idea. Focus Punch the switch-in if something runs away from Azumarill. Imo, it's main desirability is the fact that's its strongest move available which hits hard, but Brick Break could work if you're aren't keen on the idea of Focus Punch or want/needs higher prediction skill to use it more effectively.

@Andren: Do you need a move to replace SToss?

Well most people will assume that you have Levitate, so it could work out.. But once they discover that you have Heatproof you'll be in trouble.

Yeah, I'm really lazy with Emerald breeding, and there's no way for S-Toss in D/P, so I need a new suggestion for it, unless it's absolutely needed.

ok i kno this question is very noobish and has probably been answered b4 but can someone explain IVs to me? r they the stats a pkm has when it is first hatched at lvl 1? how r IVs passed? which gender passes them? how do u kno how many IVs a wild pkm has? how do u get pkm with good IVs? ummm i think thats it. also does letting a pkm lvl up to learn a move effect its final stats wen its evolved with a stone since the stone wasnt used at lvl 1? thank you very much

my cousin currently has a team of

Ninjask(BPer to Medicham0
Medicham
Porygon Z(specs)
Skarmory
Blissey(S-toss)

what would be a good 6th poke for his team?

I have a question concerning item clause. Does Item clause mean every pokemon must use a different pokemon or no and is Item clause in standard battling, or is it just a popular option people include in battles? I though their was a limit on item clause(I think 2 same items are aloud in a party or somethin?).

I have answers, but take everything I say with a grain of salt. The Item Clause limit is just 1-you can't have 2. And no, you having to use different pokémon is called a Species Clause.

Great job not even waiting a whole freaking five minutes!

Item clause means no two pokemon can have the same hold item. Some people use it, others don't.

Do choice items round your stat up or down after modifying them?

So, if I have 301 speed, and I put on a Choice Scarf, will I have 451, or 452 speed?
