Media One Piece (spoilers!)

Someone brought up the foreshadowing scene in Fisherman Island arc were Luffy was supposedly gonna destroy it and everything around him was in flames, yet strangely that didn't happen (the flames part at least).

Then also there's the cover with Luffy and his Red Hawk pose..or is it?

You saying Luffy is going to become a Blackbeard clone with two DFs? You saing that Luffy will be able to stretch and uh um take no damage from physical attacks? Even though he already resists those? You saying Luffy will now be able to turn his hands into flame and punch enemies even if they are far away? You telling me Luffy learned to use all those fire attacks for no reason?

Fire logia with rubber paramecia is redundant. It is completely pointless when you realize Luffy can already use fire attacks.

Blackbeard with the Gura works because the Yami isn't exactly meant to be used offensively. Now with the Gura it actually turns the DF into an offense by negating DF given defenses allowing the Gura to hit a "normal" fleshy targets.

Blackbeard may end up with more at this point. And Luffy is very weak to cutting attacks and their physical too. He also knows one fire attack at this moment and only at the highest level of engagement, not at will.

Like I said, this is all just fan talk.

Sakazuki means tea cup, not seeing how that's red or a dog. just saying.

edit: apparently the Admirals names were named after characters in Momotaro (dog, monkey, pheasant).

Momonga
Fujitaro

It really can't not be him at this point.

nvm we didn't miss much...

EDIT: actually re-edit, not that impressed anymore

it is fujitora, not fujitaro still close I guess but not that close

also nice reaction somehero, lol

edit:
Homosexual paramericia? What the hell? And since when has pink been the color for homosexuality? Last i checked the closest to that would be a rainbow. And what would a homosexual paramecia do? Stereotype blast?

Paramecias also give the body unatural abilities. Homosexuality is natural and normal for humans. So its actually impossible for there to be a df that turns a person gay.

Plus Iva already has a similar fruit that proves that dfs can't change sexuality... Even if they can change sex. At least in Odas world, people are borned gay/straight and can't be forced into switching even with all powerful magical fruits.

just leaving that there for my amusement

Probably the best theory/explanation for that I've seen so far. Highly doubt Luffy is going to destroy F.I. out of anger or hate.

Luffy probably would destroy it later, but will he use Ace's flame fruit to do it, I just don't see him getting another devil fruit. I think perhaps one of zoros swords will eat it as he said he always wanted a burning sword. This is less likely though as Kinemon can probably teach him the technique without the fruits power

Hm... It could be possible that the Strawhats acquire the Mera Mera no Mi and later, through understanding of Vegapunk's research or through Vegapunk himself, integrate it with one of Zoro's swords. Not that I think it would be likely, but it is an idea.

Perhaps the new admiral is T-Bone. Seriously though, as it stands, I really cannot see any previously-introduced Marines reaching admiral-level power after two years.

Remember back when Film Z was first announced and a bunch of people thought Z was Morgan? (including myself, although it was more like I wanted to believe it)

Those were the days.

I'm guessing the blind man is Fujitara, based off of this actor. Their appearances are similar and Shintaro Katsu's most famous role is that of a blind samurai.

Wikipedia said:
Zatoichi at first seems a harmless blind anma (masseur) and bakuto (gambler) who wanders around the country, making his living by chō-han (playing dice) as well as giving massages, performing acupuncture, singing and playing music; however, secretly, he is also highly skilled in swordsmanship, specifically iaido and is equally skilled in the general sword skills of Japan, as well as Sumo wrestling.

Yeah there are some strong hints that this old guy may be the admiral, namely the fact that he is based on a real life actor (as the other 3 admirals did), he is powerful and seems to do things his own way, and finally the way he talks creates the impression that he has a strong sense of justice (read good translations if you want to learn exactly what he said, mangapanda's translation is sloppy).

Even though there is a high possibility that the old guy is Fujitora, i don't really want him to be, can't really tell why...

And oh my god, how i am loving the chapters in the NW!!! Every chapter keeps getting better and better! This episode feels like classic One Piece all over, with beautiful places, awesome background characters, intimidating new guys, and the smell of adventure breaking your nose!

Anyone else notice dessarosa is based off of Spain, namely Gaudi from Barcelona. If you haven't heard about him, check it out. He is amazing. Out of this world.

i dont mind if its fuji

theres also a possibility that this guy might be the 7th shichibukai because hes the person who cut off Z's arms

This guy's probably gonna be admiral. Fuck, I was riding the Momonga train so hard and it looks like it's gonna stop. Oh well, if they're introducing a brand new character as an Admiral than there's probably a really good reason.

Momonga sounded more plausible (could have been a promotion for catching that Neo Marine Admiral but wth) but Gravity works too ^_^
Zatoichi...well at least Zoro is still gonna have his hands full.

A gravity DF would also explain his amazing luck at gambling.

Reminds me of Rayleigh scamming the auction house, probably because they're both wearing similar attire and are much stronger than they appear (Rayleigh wiping everyone out with conqueror's haki, this guy doing the same with gravity)

Little dagger =/= sword

Also, "strongest swordsman" means "strongest in swordsmanship", not "strongest man who happens to be carrying a sword at any given time."

If wb were alive and he picked a sword, hawk eye would still be the strongest swordsman, even if he was weaker than white beard randomly carrying a sword around.

Ie-- there can be characters who use swords who are stronger than hawk eye, so long as they are weaker AS SWORDSMEN

Exp: Kizaru is in all likelihood stronger than hawk eye, and he is a swordsman (uses light swords). However, he would only be more powerful due to his overall fighting abilities, including haki and the broken-ass pika pika no mi. As a swordsman alone, hawk eye is superior.

But Kizaru would still be stronger overall

I was going off of the whole "based off of Zatoichi" thing, but even then, look at the Vice Admirals. Look at how many of them fight pretty much exclusively with swords. All of those guys, Mihawk would destroy them. And, have you noticed how this master swordsman fights? One-handed baseball swings everywhere, never have we seen him put any noticeable effort into a fight. Also, Shanks fights primarily with a sword from what we've seen, so...

In any case, just pointing out that just because a character uses a sword, you can't assume that he is weaker than Hawkeye in overall strength.

Does anyone else think it is the new guy's dagger that has eaten a devil fruit? I see no reason why he would have unsheathed his dagger if he simply used his DF ability to squash everyone. Either that or the dagger is one of the legendary swords akin to Mihawk's Yoru.

Also calling Doflamingo using his puppet powers to control the entire island! Predicting all toys are evil minions controlled by Doflamingo to scare the populace into submission. :)
