Hey everyone,
I am here to bring up a rain team I have used to reasonable results. Trust me it is not boring to say the least. The teams goal is to get crawdaunt going for a late game sweep. It has a few bugs that need to be addressed and I hope I can get that here. Without any more wasting of the time, take a look.
Politoed@leftovers
Trait: Drizzle
Nature:modest
Evs: 252 hp, 252 spatk, 4 def
moves:
Hydro pump
ice beam
hidden power grass
encore
What isn't a rain team without politoed now a days. He is needed for permanent weather for my team. I went with bulky attack politoed is so that He can take a few hits as well as deal reasonable damage. Hydro pump is to maximize damage output, ice beam is for dragons, and hidden power grass is for the off chance a wild gastrodon appears.
Tornadus@fighting gem
Trait:prankster
nature: hasty
Evs: 4 atk, 252 spatk, 252 speed
Moves:
hurricane
Superpower
U turn
Tailwind
Tornadus provides some crucial support for this team with tailwind while giving me some good mixed attacking capabilities. His role for this team is to take out a poke and give crawdaunt more setup chances than normal. Hurricane is obvious for tornadus. Superpower allows it to hurt stuff that try to laugh at the hurricane. U turn is for a volt turn core and switch scouting. Tailwind is already explained.
Crawdaunt@life orb
Trait: adaptability
Nature: jolly
Evs: 4 hp, 252 atk, 252 speed
Moves:
Dragon dance
Waterfall
Crunch
Super power
The main man for this team and after using him. It is quite awe inspiring with how much destruction this guy can do to an opponents team and how hardpressed most teams are when dealing with a +1/+1 crawdaunt without mach punch or a scarfer to answer it. Waterfall and crunch are used with good coverage and at double the power thanks to the ability. Waterfall is the water STAB though I have been thinking about using crab hammer but waterfall is a walking nuke as it is. Crunch hits psychics and ghosts hard. Superpower is for what the stabs can't hit.
conkeldurr@Flame orb
Trait: guts
Nature: Adamant
Evs: 128 hp, 252 atk, 128 spdef
Moves:
drain punch
mach punch
ice punch
stone edge
What was once just a filler has proven to be an army of one with this team. Conkeldurr's anti sand abilities have been proven by literally getting 5 kos against sand. Not only that, it forces so many switches to these kinds of teams it is terrifying to say the least. it has proven almost invaluable to this team as it handles teams that latias has troubles against. Drain punch and mach punch are primary attacks as there stab and cover guts abuse conkeldurr's issues nicely. Ice punch to deal with dragons. Stone edge can destroy gyrados and volcarona.
Forretress@leftovers
Trait: sturdy
Nature: Calm
evs: 252 hp, 4 def, 252 spdef
moves:
stealth rock
spikes
rapid spin
volt switch
Forrestress is kinda funny for me as it allways finds it's way on my teams, even in sun. Forretress is my spinner and the guy who takes the hits save for the occasional conkeldurr switch. stealth rocks an spikes are hazards and is a great duo to use together. Rapid spin is for spinning. Volt switch for a volturn core with tornadus.
Latias@leftovers
Trait: levitate
Nature: timid
Evs: 252 hp, 4 spatk, 252 speed
Moves:
calm mind
Dragon pulse
roost
psyshock
This pokemon was suggested by superpower dude to better handle fighting types. The set that was recommended was life orb but I wasn't confortable with two life orb users on one team due to the fact that conkeldurr would be burned and crawdaunt is already worn down by life orb to begin with. I went with the calm mind set since it serves about the same purpose just requires one calm mind to sweep. Latias has proven to be invaluable for the team thanks to the ability to combat fighting types and an edge against sun teams. Her role is to sweep teams crawdaunt can't touch and pressure the fighting types this team has trouble with. Calm mind is the setup move. Dragon pulse is a reliable dragon STAB. Roost is for recovery. Psyshock is the anti fighting move.
I hope you like the team so far. It is a lot of fun to use and shows rain doesn't have to be the same six pokemon under a different username.

Kyurem@leftovers
trait: pressure
Nature:modest
evs: 52 hp, 220 spatk, 236 speed
Moves:
substitute
roost
ice beam
earth power
This is my trump card when crawdaunt can't do it's jobs by pp stalling everything to death if not outright hitting things and this moveset replicates that well. Substitue and roost are the stalling mechanisms for this set giving a way to dodge status and recover. I had dragon pulse+focus blast originally however I switched to ice beam and earth power to deal with ddance salamence and dragonite better.
(Kyurem was removed in favor of latias to reduce the hole this team had against fighting types.)
