Introduction
Hello, my name is GhenghisCon i've been around the block for awhile and have been battling 4th gen competitively since 2007. It is sad to see it go because I'm still so attached to the 4th gen metagame and now have been witnessing its gradual collapse before my eyes. Pains me to know that this is the very last team I will be building. I just want some input on it because I want my last team to be my most fun to use and also best I've ever built. I am set on hail because I feel like i have never experimented with a hail team before. I call this RMT Frozen in Time because it is a hail team and my nostalgia for 4th gen will forever be frozen in time.
Team Building
The Poke I wanted to build my hail team around is none other than Weavile. Swords Dance Weavile to be exact.

After deciding on this Poke as my late game sweeper in Swords Dance Weavile, I knew I would need some vital walls to accompany him. First let's add a nice strong Fighting resistor, with great defense, and a reliable recovery move. I chose Gliscor for this role.

Now let's see, who would do a solid job backing up Gliscor? Well definitely Bulky waters always do a nice job backing him up and I don't have a rapid spinner on the team yet. So let's go for one of my favorite water type pokes who does a great job in the hail: Starmie.

After deciding on Starmie, I thought of a Poke that would be good and also has a reliable recovery move. Clefable does work in the hail because she gets wish, protect, magic guard and with those can stall the hell out of people. Being able to pass wishes to pokemon and clear statuses is beneficial to my team so I had to include Clefable.

I was close to just including Froslass at this point because she would be good for taking Fighting moves aimed at Clefable and be a good spin blocker. Having a spin blocker and another user of entry hazards would be nice but also it would be great to have another physical wall that could take both fire and fighting attacks. Besides Starmie, I don't really have a Poke who can take fire moves and Froslass wouldn't be able to take Fire attacks well. I decided on a physically defensive Charizard to fit this role.

For my lead it doesn't require much explanation. I wanna get my hail up ASAP so obviously Abomasnow is gonna be my main man for this.

Frozen in Time: Hail Team
Breakdown

Abomasnow (M) @Leftovers
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpDef
Sassy Nature (+SpDef, -Spe)
- Leech Seed
- Wood Hammer
- Protect
- Toxic
This set is great on Abomasnow. I thought that I would absolutely need him to carry Blizzard, but Toxic works better on him in my opinion. He has leech seed and hail and protect to whittle down opponents' HP and then throw in Toxic and he's an epic staller. His sole job is to set up hail and if he is faced with an unfavorable match up then I just switch him into someone else.

Charizard (M) @Leftovers
Ability: Blaze
EVs: 220 HP / 252 Def / 36 Sp Atk
Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Will-O-Wisp
- Roost
- Air Slash
- Focus Blast
Overview: Not every day that you see a Defensive Charizard with Will-O-Wisp. From what i've tested this set is actually pretty good though. Switch into a steel type or something and they will switch out fearing a special fire move. They might go into T-Tar who eats a will-o-wisp and then has a nerfed physical attack. i can take down T-Tar then by clicking Focus blast and hoping it hits. Or the opponent might switch into Gyara to try and set up Dragon Dances not knowing I carry the Will-O-Wisp.
EVs: 220HP is desirable because it is a "lefties" number which means it gets his total HP to a number divisible by 16. however, idk if this will get him to an odd number so i might have to change his HP. Max attack allows it to take many physical attacks aimed at it. I wanted him to have some offensive power so i put the remaining EVs into his Sp. Atk.

Starmie @Leftovers
Ability: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SpDef / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
- Rapid Spin
- Recover
- Surf
- Thunderbolt
Overview: Nothing fancy at all about this Starmie. I know that Starmie is a great Pokemon to have on a hail team because it carries rapid spin and rocks, t-spikes, and spikes are no fun to have around... especially rocks.

Clefable (M) @Leftovers
Ability: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 HP / 152 Def / 102 SpDef / 4 Spe
Calm Nature (+SpDef, -Atk)
- Wish
- Protect
- Fire Blast
- Heal Bell
Overview: Having a Wish passer like Clefable is a huge asset to the team. It serves so many functions. It can stall with wish and protect, it can remove status from other teammates. Finally, it can take on Skarm and other steel pokes via Fire Blast.

Gliscor (M) @Leftovers
Ability: Hyper Cutter
EVs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 76 Spe
Impish Nature (+Def, -SpAtk)
- Roost
- Knock off
- Earthquake
- Stealth rock
Overview: I wanted a Pokemon with Knock off because removing Leftovers from the opponent makes stalling go by just that much quicker. Knock off helped me a lot in test battles i have had. To be honest though, this Gliscor could use Taunt and I've considered replacing one of his moves with Taunt but I just don't know which move to pick.

Weavile(M) @Expert Belt
Ability: Pressure
EVs: 32 HP / 252 Atk / 224 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpAtk)
- Swords Dance
- Low Kick
- Ice Shard
- Night Slash
Ahh, the star of the show. Back in 2007 Weavile was almost a staple to every single team. If you didn't have him somebody would wreck you with Garchomp, or Salamence, or Latias. Now he has become washed up and i want him to be able to relive his former glory on this team. I wanted Expert Belt because if I needed to use him in the beginning of the game I could bluff a Choice Band and then later in the game set up Swords Dance.
Observations/Conclusion/Final Remarks
This team could definitely use a little work for sure. From some test battles there have been a few holes. I am not that resistant to Rock and feel like I should have a guy who resists rock type. Also, it has some problems with Tentacruel because there isn't a good Poke on my team to take it down. It has Liquid Ooze so Abomasnow can't stall it, it can kill Gliscor, etc. If I could change one Pokemon it might be Charizard. Both Gliscor and Clefable might need a revamping on their movesets. Anyways I really hope people post feedback to this because I spent a good amount of time on this post. Please be honest and give valuable feedback about what I should change before I use this team.
Thank you guys. And if you want to battle 4th gen please contact me because I'm going to really miss it and hope I can battle as many people with this team as I can.
