Official Nickname Thread

The only good one i have nicknamed that might be orignal is my Gengar is Houdini(When something desapears it pulled a Houdini), Salamence Saphira(Eragon) and my Suicune North Wind
 
Not mine, but my friend has a Gengar (I think he got it as a Haunter through an in-game trade) named Gaspar. I cried a little.
 
I nicked my Tyranitar Tyranitank, and my Heracross Udon.

Um... I named my Salamence Bodhisatva, after devout pursuers of enlightenment? I dunno, my nicknames aren't all that interesting I guess.

I just saw some of my cousin's nicknames.....

Skuntank=Farty
Gardevoir=Sexy(It was male too...)
Lopunny=Hopunny
Honchcrow=Pimpcrow
Infernape=Charmander

I think he has some more dirty ones, but I don't feel like looking through them...
 
For some reason, i always name my pokemon after gods o.o;.

Azelf=Hades
Porygon-Z=Odin
Milotic=Fenrir
Ursaring=Thor
Flygon=Zeus
Myself-Loki o.o;
And sometimes i catch bidoofs and name them NeverUse.
 
Sometimes I give my pokemon names that I've thought about. Other times I just give them fairly random names, like my bidoofs name "leavit". I do give every pokemon a nickname no matter how stupid or boring it might be.

Aerodactyl: Shunpo
Hippowdon: Annihilate (with the male sign instead of the A)
Gardevoir: Obliterate (Female sign instead of the O)
Probopass: Stalin
Sceptile: SilvaBlade (Silva is latin for Forest)
 
I don't know why, but I had one ruby game where I decided to randomly name all of the pokemon I caught, and they were really weird names. The main ones I remember are luminara the gardevoir (star wars), kisako the linoone, and baisuke the swellow.
Also, I once thought baby pokemon would inherit all TM moves that the father knew, which would lead to impossibly weird chains (flamethrower and dragon claw beautifly!), so when I realized it wasn't, I randomly took out a natu from my box and named it iamanidiot.
 
I like to nickname all of my Pokemon, but when i'm stumped for ideas, I go to Wikipedia, look up the Pokemon, and follow the links in the Biological Characteristics section. Then I scan the articles, and read the names off the sources until I find something that appeals to me ;) Here are a few I came up with (I have a WHOLE bunch of them).

Ambipom - Ahuizotl
Hitmontop - Mansouri
Palkia - Rauhut
Azelf - Ainslee
 
I just thought of these two a couple days ago:

Rayquaza - Shenron
Skuntank - sKUNTank
Surely if I entered a nintendo tournament they couldn't call that profane as that is the pokemon's name.
