The Greatest Mario Team

Mario = Salamence
He's red and blue. Remember the goal here is to use OU/Competitive pokemon while still keeping a Mario resemblance.
Luigi = Heracross
Hes bluish/green, much like our hero's brother Luigi. Also its Heracross, so its kickass in battle.
Peach = Blissey
Facing anti-blissey sentiment worldwide, I usually no longer use ole Peach, but it is one of the best fitting names.
Boo = Gengar
Ta-da. The "Boo" enemy from Mario translates perfectly into Gengar
Koopa = Skarmory
Theoretically its Metal Koopa, but I only have so much space to write.
Goomba = Rhyperior
Big fat gumdrop shape, yes Rhyperior makes a perfect (gigantic) Goomba
Waluigi = Breloom
Maybe a better fit for Luigi than Heracross, considering switching their names. Also could be Toad
Yoshi = PorygonZ
Probably my favorite of them all. Porygon-Z has a yoshi-esque face and is very rounded/dinasour-ish.
Birdo = Cresselia
The weird male disguised as female duck thing from Mario works perfectly as a weird female duck thing in Pokemon = )
Thwomp = Snorlax
Big, fat, uses Body Slam. 'Nuff said.
Bowser = Tyranitar
The King Koopa looks great as a gigantic dinasaur-esque creature.

Mixing and matching these forms most of my teams. I'm still looking for Mario names for Yanmega/Togekiss/Garchomp and a few others I've been using.
