when the everstone is placed on the female (or ditto) it is suppose to have a 50/50 chance of passing down its nature.

thats what im having problems with lol

damn thats a hell of unlucky, but ty. would having an everstone jolly male breeding with it make any difference or would that be a waste of time?

That happened to me once. One of the parents was obtained from an in-game trade. I changed the parent and it worked. I don't know why, or if that was even what was wrong, but you should at least try taking both parents out and putting them back in.

Edit: Putting an Everstone on the male doesn't achieve anything, it has to be on the female if you're using two non-Ditto Pokemon, or on the Ditto (it works on Ditto even if the other Pokemon is female.)

i have an adamant heracross. I faught 63 bibarels (+2 ATK) 1 chancy, 1 bippa, and i was going to get 126 zubats.... but i only got to kill around 80... what went wrong? I was going for: 252 Attack, 252 speed, 6 HP.... Please Help

How can you "only get to kill around 80?" There's nothing stopping you from killing more than 80 even if you max out your EVs in the process so you're going to have to be clearer.

will that also work when I am breeding a male Charmander with a Ditto. If I give the Carmander (timid nature) the everstone, will it then also have the 50/50 change?

No. Only the female/Ditto will pass the nature down by 50%. If you have a female Pokemon and a Ditto, attach the Everstone to the Ditto.

Last question:
My male Charmander has a Timid nature. My Ditto has a nature that I don't know. If I give the Everstone to my Ditto wich nature has then the 50/50 change? The Timid one from Charmander or the nature from my Ditto?

I saved and used a carbos and it said it wont work.... same as all the other vitemins, when i continued leveling up it went as if i was useing rare candies...

So this won't work?

Carbos won't work if you have 100 Speed EVs. Same for each Vitamin and its corresponding stat.

A couple of questions, would appreciate any and all answers:

1) How does the Smogon community feel about using PP Ups and PP Max? This is directed more towards tournament rules, but I hadn't seen much about it.

2) Many Pokemon learn U-Turn through TM or otherwise, yet i often see teams/ movesets with baton pass instead. Is there a reason for this, or is it just an oversight? (Essentially, why use BP when U-Turn actually does damage and has the same effect.)

PP of moves are usually maxed.

U-Turn does not pass on stat boosts.

People should use them if they don't want to be outstalled easily. I believe that's the general consensus around here.

U-Turn doesn't keep the stat changes that Baton Pass does, it simply allows the user to switch out to something else after hitting the opponent.

Ah ok, that explains it. I had assumed the stat changes were transfered with U-Turn.

As for the PP's, I guess what I should have asked is:

There are two items in game, PP Up and PP Max. I remember in Blue version one of them actually upped the max amount of PP's from say 5/5 to 10/10. Or am I wrong completely? These are to be used outside of battle to increase the number of PP's permanently. Thanks for your timely responses!

The PP Ups ups the pp of the chosen move by 1/5, up to a max of 3. While PP Max will bring the chosen move to max, which is 8/5 of original with a single use.

Thanks for your help! Some stuff is just a real bitch to google. (ie: wild goose hunts) I'm still playing through Emerald in order to get myself setup to mass catch Dittos. And then... Breeding again...

how long does grudges effect last on my pokemon.... and nvm about my other question, i think i got it, but still.... can bugg buzz be used on soundproof????
