Showing Meloetta some love.

Hello ! After playing ubers for a while i decided to play UU. This is not a team made by an expert and i hope that you help me making this team better. I made this team with the idea to showcase Amazing pokemon in UU Meloetta!. THis team has brabbed victories agasint other 1800 players but i've lost many mores becasue of my lack of knowlede about UU.

This team focuses on laying some hazards and statusand debilitating enemies wiht strong attacks. So after, i can finally end the game with a Mienshao or Zapdos sweep. Even Meloetta can end the game Thanks to paralize support.

Meloetta @ Life Orb
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Hasty Nature (+Spd, -Def)
- Close Combat
- Relic Song
- Psychic
- Work Up

Meloetta is a great Pokemon that I wanted I wanted to utilize due to its huge Special Attack and typing to hit things hard and have fun with it.. He has 100 base HP and 120 Sdef Thats A LOT. I wanted to try the mixed set people have been talking about to abuse the Pirueeta form but i actually feel he can be more usefull with a standard CLam mind or Specs set. What do you think?
ALso id liek to mention he and meinshao are good offensive partners to help defeat the dark types athat may trouble meloeta job.

Slowking (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
- Scald
- Dragon Tail
- Thunder Wave
- Slack Off

I chose Slowking becasue he is a a KING and people say he is viable in UU. He has great Special bulk. but he can alos run a defensive set good. He is also a valuable member because of his ability tospread status, phaze out set up sweepers thanks to dragon tail, and burn other pokemon . I think i should use and offensive set on him with Trick room so ic an absue that along with Cofagrigus. Alos remmeber he has Trick room and Nasty plot so what do you think?

563.png
Cofagrigus (F) @ Leftovers
Trait: Mummy
EVs: 248 HP / 8 Def / 252 SAtk
Quiet Nature (+SAtk, -Spd)
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Nasty Plot
- Trick Room

This ghostly pokemon can spinblock and take hits form common physical pokemon like mienshao or machamp which really are a threat in UU metagame. Also, Cofa has a good Sattack and thanks to Nasty plot and Trick room it can break create some holes in enemy team
. I have also thought about utilizing a full defensive EV spread so Cofagrigus can take phsyical hits better and burn their attacker, but i havent found the opportunity to use burn effectively. Defensivelly or offensive Cofa tahts my dilemma!

407.png
Roserade (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Natural Cure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Spikes
- Rest
- Sludge Bomb
-Giga Drain

Roserade is just one of the best offensive spikers out there imo. With huge Sttack and moderate Sdefense she can scare anemies away with powerfull life orb STAB attacks of 125 Sttack. Roserade usually has plenty of opportunities to come in and set up Spikes which are so important to my team, plus Rest with Natural Cure sometimes allows me to get a little more time out of Roserade's walling capabilities which can be huge during a match. She also matches up perfectly with Slowking to take hits they dont like each other. I am still doubting the Spikes Giga drain. I think the Sleep powder and Leaf storm would be better. Im also open to suggestions like Specs set.

145.png
Zapdos @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Pressure
EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
- Thunderbolt
- Heat Wave
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Volt Switch

Zapdos had initatially a Life orb set but i wnated to try teh scar set and give it to Mienshao. His 100 speed statChoice Scarf allows me to beat others base 100 scarfer and kill sweepers, so thats enought . He also form Volt turn core along with Mienshao , it feels pretty good.

When i used the life orb set it grabbed me good kills but faster sweepers usually stopped me cold. Should i use Specs or Life orb on him?

620.png
Mienshao (F) @ Life Orb
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Hi Jump Kick
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
- Fake Out

Mienshao is amzing life orb user and thanks to fake out i can usually weak down other pokemon and then utrun o jsut get the kill. I use regenerator to recover health lost by life orb , hazards and HJK which sometimes cost me the game. I want to know what set i should use him Scarf, Life Orb or Band??

So there's my team, I hope you enjoyed reading my RMT . All help and suggestions are welcome. Like i said i am still in the process of making this team perfect so if you could telll me what sets are better in thsi team it would be graetly apreciated. Also pls dont change the pokemon!> :D

Hey, this is a great team! I really think Meloetta should be used more as well, and it's always good to see teams formed around her.

Trick Room Slowking along with Trick Room Cofagrigus seems like a pretty interesting core. I have a lot of experience using Trick Room teams myself, as I'm currently trying to latter with one. I'd say that one thing that makes me nervous about it is that everything else on your team is max speed invested, so it's very possible for the opponent to use your trick room to their advantage. I'd say OTR Cofagrigus is enough, stick with the defensive set on Slowking. You really need that extra bulk on a team as offensive as this.

Anyways, if you're having trouble keeping Zapdos alive, then how about a bulkier set? Perhaps a specially defensive set with 248 HP, 236 Sp. Def, and 24 Speed EVs with the moves Thunderbolt, Roost, Toxic and Hidden Power (Ice/Grass). I think this will be overall best for your team because you already have slow threats to Zapdos checked by your other team members. Rhyperior and Swampert are countered my Slowking and Roserade, respectively. That being said, there are few choice scarfers and fast sweepers that can grab the upper hand on a defensive Zapdos. I would definitely give it a shot.

Your Roserade set seems odd. Giga Drain and Spikes seem to suggest a defensive set, yet your EV investment seems to reflect that of an offensive set. If you want Roserade to be more offensive, then try running Leaf Storm in place of Giga Drain and Sleep Powder/HP Fire instead of Spikes.

However, I think transforming Roserade into a lead could really benefit your team. Here's what I have in mind:

Run 252 Spd. and 252 Sp. Atk, and have the set (Toxic) Spikes, Leaf Storm, Sleep Powder, Sludge Bomb, and lead with it as often as you can. Then all you have to do is Sleep Powder the opposing lead and set up as many layers of Spikes as possible before it wakes up. I've been seeing this set lately and it's pretty effective at putting spikes on the field. Give it a shot!

And that's all I got! Good luck with the team!

I'm.... Not sure why that happened and there's no options to delete posts on this new forum layout. Sorry about the clutter >.<

Howdy. Nice team! I could never get Meloetta to work for me but I'm glad you're giving it a go.
This may seem an odd suggestion, but consider Thunderbolt over Psychic on Meloetta. It gives good coverage while nailing Slowbro/King, which it cannot touch otherwise. However, that's entirely off of what you feel you need more.

Also, speaking of them, I say replace Slowking with Slowbro. This team has great special bulk in Roserade, so I think giving it 'bro's physical bulk could help immensely! Use a similar set to your King one if you switch, just with a physical defense spread.

Hope this helped!

Thanks for the feedback guys, i think i will try the rolesia offensive lead with sleep powder and focus sash. Meloetta need Psychic to have strong STAB.I was thinking about using the Sub set along with Focus blast and substitute.
