Anyone else have the vibe that Yyveltal might have more OU Pokemon traits than Uber traits atm? I mean, aesthetically speaking, the dude looks like he has great Sp.A (base 130-140?) and maybe 95-105 speed, with either good defense or good Sp.D and okay everything else. That ability that gives +1 to Dark Pulse though.

Speaking of new abilities, wasn't he "confirmed" a while back that both Xerneas or Yyveltal have Pressure? At least I saw that on Serebii a while back. So either those scans a while back were really good or Gamefreak actually changed their minds about something we thought had been confirmed. Neat stuff I suppose.

Congratulations people, we get a cotton candy Pokemon.

Awwwww it's so cute though, I love it!
(Coz it tastes good with Vanilluxe on top =w=)

I read their typings as Xerneas being Fairy, Yveltal being Dark/Flying. I don't exactly know the kana for each type, since I didn't quite get there in two years of high school Japanese. Are those correct? I tried googling it but the hype train has suggested roughly every type and this crap is too new for good articles.

Well, I can't read text that's so small.

But the Japanese for Fairy is フェアリー
Dark あく
Flying ひこう

Pressure was never confirmed or even hinted at
This month is the first month we've gotten abilities for anything 6th gen

Also Yveltal seems more physical than special, if only because Death Wing looks & sounds like a physical attack. Also bird of prey

Oh, idk where I got that information from then sorry about that.

If Yveltal is more physical, then, aesthetically, it looks like he'll have like 120 attack. I know it's never a good thing to judge a Pokemon's stats by aesthetics, but if I'm wrong so be it. Death Wing is implied that it is super powerful and it could have no side effect and have 120 base power, a whopping 240 after STAB and all that stuff. It could also be like Kyurem's/Dialga's and have a one turn drawback before/after the move hits, in which case it's nothing to worry about. Man I'm so excited to use this guy right now.

I'm actually more interested in Xerneas's move "Geo Control". It sounds like that may be an insanely powerful grass, ground, or fairy type move.

Xerneas itself doesn't seem too interesting and atm seems like obvious ubers as the way it is now and I'm not a big fan of the ubers metagame so...... Also while it would make sense in the name itself for it to be a grass or ground the whole emphasis on him being fairy (new ability and being pure) it would obviously make more sense for his signature move to be fairy.

why would you think Yvetal is more OU then Uber. He most likely has base 680 stats or something and other random dumb stuff that ubers have.

Honedge got No Guard
> 100% accurate Guilotine.
I can't be the only one who thiught that.
(Yeah, I know it doesn't works that way, but it's still a funny thought...)

Also : You can fight against the new Professor ! I can totally see him doing that. That's pretty cool.

I love the idea behind Maika and Karamanero ! If it doesn't evove by turning the 3DS upside down, I'll be really disappointed.

Iversio-Squid has a few interesting qualities. Dark/Psychic is a cool sounding type. If predictions are true about Fairy, then it should only be 4x weak to bug. Psychic causes fighting and fairy moves to become neutral to the dark type and dark gives it psychic immunity and neutral against dark and ghost.

also it looks like an evil genius wearing a lab coat and boots/gloves with a crazy mad scientist hairdo. What's not to love about that?

Does Flip Over target the user or the opponent? If it's the latter, it seems like a better Psyche Up. One that won't get you killed by a +6 boosted attack right after copying the rampaging pokemon's boosts. I love the idea of turning a boosted pokemon into weak mush in one move, though let's hope it gets distribution to some pokemon with prankster, or using it is still going to be impractical against dragon dancers. If it's the former, hmm. It'll be nice against pokemon who use intimidate, but in that case you're wasting a turn and a moveslot to give yourself a +1 boost. Not that great imo. Not too many movesets make use of -2 status lowering moves.

all rumors are going to be confirmed at this point:

Fairy will be SE Dark, and Fighting as well as Dragon...Fairy will be IMMUNE to Dragon, and Fire & Psychic typed are Not Very Effected by Fairy.
Fennekin evo will be Fire/Psychic, Chespin evo will be Grass/Dark and Froakie will be Water/Fighting.
Mewtwo will have TWO new formes, and are activated by items.
Dual-type attacks (Scald might be BOTH Water/Fire)
A Psychic-type Pokemon named Espurr (ESP + purr) evolves into Meowstick (Meow + mystic?). (Sounds like Psychic-type cats. Meowstick's name sounds too similar to Meowth to me though.)
Another professor named Sycamore gives you either Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.
A new move, Belch, is a Poison-type attack that has a base power of 120. The user must consume a held Berry to perform it.

This...waiting...is KILLLING ME INSIDE!!!!!!!
AUGH C'MON OCTOBER!!!!!!!!!

We got squid Pokemon. At this point I literally stopped caring about everything else for a fair ten minutes. Also I'm really glad it's not a water-type.

So, Turn Over. Which Pokemon's stats does it reverse? Itself, or opponents? Because combined with Contrary, Reversing it's own stats wouldn't be particularly useful.

Honedge is still an incredibly stupid name, but I like how it looks.

Also, I sorta called Clauncher/Skrelp being exclusives, so that seals X as the first game I'm getting.

From Serebii
"Edit @ 11:53: The teaser for next month's CoroCoro issue, due for release on August 12th 2013, is said that the magazine will contain the biggest scoop of the century. We'll provide details on that next month"
