Introduction
Hello Smogon and welcome to my next RMT. This team is probably one of the best teams i have ever made and i am really proud of it. I worked hard making this team and building it, but there maybe some mistakes with this team, so thats one of the reasons i have posted this team. The other reason i have posted this team is because this is my very first stall team, and i must say it is extremely good. It work like a well built machine taking hit weakening my opponent and they can't even breakthrough this well built team i made. The reason its so hard is that my team can easily take hits recover damage and having a Field Day with my opponents team. I don't like to brag or anything i am just really proud of great this team has been. It may has been a Stall Team which may seem boring to people, but i find it rather fun using Stall Teams considering how i play.
When i play i take my time, listen to music, read through some things on smogon, talk on Pokemon IRC, and just have fun while i play, so i really have the patience to battle for over 100 turns or even more.
The only time i would quit is when i know i have no chance, though that one game where i though i was going to lose but Gastrodon turned it around =). I really only loss the hax and Kidogo (dang he is good), but that is pretty much it. I haven't really had any problem with Keldeo or Kyurem-B, though Garchomp kinda is a problem and you will see why after you take a look at my team, and see why garchomp can be annoying. Its not like it could sweep me, just maybe weaken 1 pokemon or take out something. Anyway enough with me talking about the how much i love this team i should be really telling you guys about how i came up with this team.
When your laddering on the pokemon showdown ladder you mostly see offensive teams and occasionally the Stall teams. At first i kept following the crowd and saying that stall is not viable and that the metagame is more offensive and stall isn't good anymore, that is a complete lie. I find stall to be an extremely good play style mostly in the hands of a skilled player. There are 5 different ways stall is usually like. There is Rain Stall, Sand Stall, Sun Stall, Hail Stall and Weatherless Stall. In the OU metagame the most common is Weatherless stall, then Rain Stall, then Sand Stall, then Sun Stall, and last Hail Stall. When i was laddering with my sun team and few months ago, when ever i laddered i kept facing this one Sand Stall team that is on Smogon RMT Archive, I think it is called Aromacity or something like that, but anyway i kept playing that team and losing. That what first got me interested in Stall.
A few weeks l8tr i was laddering with an HO and i ran into a Sand Stall team. It didn't take long before i knew i couldn't beat it. I first i thought i was just outplayed, but then i realized that his team is just really good and i had like no chance of winning unless i got no hax at all. I also ran into an amazing Sun Stall team, it didn't take long before i couldn't beat it, it was like impossible to knock down all the walls in my way, so i lost that game to. Then i realized stall could be an Amazing play style, so guess what i made a sand stall team. After i few times laddering i realized that the team is almost complete just a few thing i maybe need to change to make one of the best teams i ever made though this might be it already. Anyway enough with me talking lets just start this RMT.
Team Building

Ok when i first made this team there were 3 pokemon in mind. I needed a pokemon that can beat Keldeo, but i had to be sure, so i decided on two pokemon instead, and those were Slowking and Amoonguss. Since the team i wanted to make is Sand Stall i need something that can setup Sandstorm and that left me with 2 choices. Hippowdon or Tyranitar and i just choose Hippowdon, because it was Sand Stall and i really don't think Tyranitar could hold up when talking about Sand Stall though i still have respect in Tyranitar.

I knew physical dragons might be a problem so i added Skarmory. Its also so awesome because i get Spikes and Whirlwind in one pokemon. Its very helpful considering that it does 2 major jobs for this team in 1. I also added Chansey to tank special hits and beat Latios. Chansey also has good Synergy with Skarmory making SkarmBliss though with chansey over blissey, because of Chanseys better bulk with eviolite. Which makes it able to take physical attacks.

For the last pokemon i added Stoutland since i needed a revenge killer, and thanks to sand rush it made Stoutland extremely fast allowing me to run a Choice Band set though i also tried Silk Scarf either way, it was a really good revenge killer. I also replace Chansey with Reuniclus because Chansey really didn't do anything accept take special hits and paralyze things and whats so ever. I need something that can actually do something. Also Reuniclus helps me easily defeat other stall teams.

Stoutland really couldn't keep the job going. When i ran Silk Scarf it kept missing KO and 2hko's, but when i ran Choice Band i kept on getting walled and weakened over time, so i decided to replace it with Scarf Tran because of how hard it can hit, and it is also a nasty surpside against people who don't expect it. I also replace Slowking and Gastrodon, sicne slowking had a hard time with Scizor so it kept on having to switch out and take water attacks, and becareful of TTar, so i just decided it wasn't mean't to be and replaced it with gasto who does way better.

And finally i replace Skarmoy with Jirachi because i had a Latios problem and jirachi fixed that up. Though i was thinking about using TTar because now i had 2 sand inducer, but in the end i decided against it because Jirachi patched up some other weakness besides that and i can recover with Wish, though i have also tried Healing Wish. Now that is it with the Team Building, so lets get more in depth.
The Team

Gastrodon @ Leftovers
Trait: Storm Drain
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Recover
- Scald
- Earth Power
- Toxic
Well i guess i will start with my main man gastrodon. Gastrodon was one of the last members to be admitted in to this fine team. I decided to go with a defensive why you may ask well this is simple. With all the Keldeo running around i would have a hard time beating it if i ran a Special Set because of Secret Sword, so i decided on the Defensive set which was not a bad idea because it let me take on all the physical attacking pokes like Landorus-T and Garchomp, so i really think the physical defensive set works alot better. Also thanks to Storm Drain and Gastrodon typing most rain teams have a Hard time getting past Gastrodon and don't forget about Amoonguss either. Those 2 pokemon together make Rain team cry and quit because they can break through them.
When i use Gastrodon i really have to be fearful of grass pokemon and attacks. If i see the pokemon has a grass type named Celebi on there team i am going to be mad because Celebi litterally walls Gastrodon thanks to Natural Cure, and what else is that Celebi keeps Reuniclus from setting up with Calm Mind. However, if they have Ferrothorn on their team i will be rather happy because With the help of Reuniclus and Amoonguss, They can easily stop rain team and Reuniclus can easily setup on Ferrothorn making them the Rain destroyers,. Another thing i like about Gastrodon is that it can beat Heatran that lacks Solarbeam, though i have to watch out for Toxic also.
Recover is an awesome move on Gastrodon because it allows me to heal off any damage from my attacker. It also lets me handle Keldeo alot easier because it can recover damage making it harder for Keldeo and team to defeat Gastrodon. Scald is a great move because it makes Ferrothorn fearful from switching into Gastrodon as it can get burned making my team have a field day over rain teams since that gave Reuniclus the perfect chance to setup on Ferrothorn with little ease and even before burn it is easy. Earth Power is the next move and it lets me hit Heatran for 4 times, it also gives me a way to hit water pokemon and it can be great against Electric pokemon like Jolteon or Raikou. Finally Toxic allows me to stall out whole teams just by spamming Toxic and Recover, which gets on alot of people nerves.

Amoonguss @ Black Sludge
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 4 SAtk / 252 SDef
Calm Nature
- Spore
- Giga Drain
- Hidden Power [Fire] / Clear Smog
- Protect
Amoonguss can be called my second Keldeo or Rain counter you can say. The job of Amoonguss is to wall Keldeo, however if it is specs i just let Gastrodon wall it. Also since its Special Defensive water types have an hard time getting past Amoonguss thanks to nice bulk and regenerator. Its pretty much impossible for Rain Teams to get past Amoonguss, and thanks to Gastrodon and Jirachi rain teams are pretty much screwed against my team, unless some epic super hax happens.
The things that annoy Amoonguss the most are Fire types mostly Heatran, and other grass types mostly Celebi. Amoonguss can't do anything to fire types or Heatran because all of its move don't work unless i run Clear Smog over Hp Fire to hit some Fire types. Celebi and other grass types are pretty annoying, but mostly just Celebi thanks to natural cure. I can hit other grass types with Clear Smog or Hp Fire, though i was also think Hp Ice, so i can hit dragons who can also resist some of Amoonguss's moves. However thanks to the support of my team they are not as annoying. Heatran and other Fire types lose to Gastrodon, Hippowdon, and Heatran, while grass types lose to Heatran, though Celebi can be an acception because if it has Earth Power i am screwed.
Spore is a great move which allows me to put my opponent to sleep though i have to use it carefully since it can cost me the game if i use it on a pokemon with Sleep Talk or doesn't really help the opponent against my team. I would rather use it on something more threatening to my team or threatening to Amoonguss. Giga Drain allows me to hit water types like Keldeo, for a good amount of damage, and it just lets me get a little bit of health back every round. It is an really helpful move allowing to me to keep Amoonguss at good health. I can either use Hp Fire or Clear Smog. Hp Fire lets me surprise some pokemon and hit them for 4x, but sometimes it is not the helpful mostly against Rain Team. Clear Smog prevents my opponent from setting up on Amoonguss in which i find that to be very important. Finally we have protect which allows me to see which moves my opponent might use or thinking of using, so i just don't go and risk my Amoonguss, though i might replace protect for a better move.

Hippowdon (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Earthquake
- Slack Off
- Stealth Rock
- Whirlwind
The hippo that makes sand, and is very large that is the great Hippowdon. Since this is Sand Stall what other reasons is there to use Hippo, i could use TTar, but it doesn't have enough physical bulk and doesn't have reliable recovery and Whirlwind. I choose to run a physcially defensive set instead of a mixed defensive set because i already had enough pokemon he can do good walling the special side, also the physical pokemon are usually causing me some trouble and that really makes this Hippowdons set better than the mixed set to me. However he can't really do any damage, that why i might try Toxic over something to make Hippowdons job easier.
The things that really annoy Hippowdon are water types and the few grass types you see. However Amoonguss does good against both grass and water types by resist there STAb making Hippowdons life easier. Gastrodon also helps since it can absorb water moves aimed at Hippowdon. Though special sweepers also bother Hippowdon because of its not that good Special Defense. Jirachi and Amoonguss help make up for it by taking special hits.
Earthquake is on there to make sure that i can actually hit my opponents, though i am thinking of using maybe Toxic or Ice Fang, but i will stick with Earthquake for now. Earthquake also does a good amount of damage, to many things, so i can also weaken my opponents. Slack Off is my only way to recover and is very useful if i want to weaken my opponent with passive damage, it also sometimes makes my opponent quit when i spam it. Stealth Rock allows me to weaken things on the switch in. I am actually thinking about replace Stealth Rocks, so i can put Toxic on there and give Stealth Rock to another pokemon, but i am not entirely sure as of right now. Whirlwind allows me to weaken my opponent mostly with Stealth Rock on the field. It also make it harder for my opponent to defeat the team since he will be switching so much and lose alot of health to Stealth Rock.

Heatran @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 236 Spd / 252 SAtk / 20 SDef
Modest Nature
- Overheat
- Fire Blast
- Earth Power
- Hidden Power [Ice]
I find Scarf Tran to be way better on a Sand Stall team than Stoutland. Why because Heatran can actually KO something, unlike Stoutland, don't get me wrong he can use a strong Return, However, thats all he can do, all his other attacks doesn't hit as hard even if they are SE. However with Heatran i can destroy alot of pokemon in my way, and i only get outspeed by a few pokemon, Most common : Weavile and Jolteon. Even then those pokemon are not that common, but you can still see some of them. The EV Spread allows me to outspeed Jolly Dugtrio, which is very helpful and it lets me run a few extra SpDef which might let me live an attack.
Once other Heatran figure what set i am they can predict if i am going to use a fire move and come in, sometimes thats not always the case since i can predict and use Earth Power to catch them off guard, but either way something gonna happen. Water types are the real burden as i have to spam Earth Power and believe me that is not going to do alot. I can pretty much hit everything hard if they don't resist fire. Even if they do they still take a pretty good amount of damage. I must say this thing is extremely hard to switch into if you don't resist its STAB, if you don't good bye.
Overheat is an extremely strong fire move that demolishes everything in its sight. I mostly use it in away that saids that Heatran hits and runs. I hit my opponent for extreme damage and then i return and then i repeat the cycle, it is great for weakening my opponent mostly for a stall team and it works really well. Fire Blast is the move i use when my opponent has nothing that resist fire in their team. All i pretty much do is spam it and it is like an easy win, however i freakin hate missing though it feel like it has better accuracy that Overheat sometimes. Earth Power is mostly used to hit opposing Heatrans and Rock Types ia actually use it a pretty good amount and it really doesn't let me down. I thought it was going to kinda filler but never mind it works pretty good. Finally Hp Ice is extremely helpful, since it lets me hit the ugly dragons who think they own the Ou Metagame. Look at my team do you see any dragons. Anyway, i just have to watch out for Scarf Dragons that have something that can hit me for SE.

Reuniclus (M) @ Leftovers
Trait: Magic Guard
EVs: 252 Def / 252 HP / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Calm Mind
- Psyshock
- Focus Blast
- Recover
Really this thing is seriously underrated. All you got to do is come in on a physical mon and spam Calm Mind and sweeper your opponent it works all the time lol, well almost all. Thanks to its awesome defense it is impossible to straight up 1hko this thing. I mean it even a Choice Band max attack ttar crunch can kill this thing. Thats something scary really. Not only that it has reliable recovery and Toxic and Status won't work on it. I call that OP. After a few Calm Mind boost you get epic attack and defense and it is almost impossible to beat. This pokemon is somethign else and is probabaly the best Calm Mind user, though Latias has its advantages thanks to its speed.
Really perish song Celebi owns this thing. I have to freakin change my special defensive raichi to a different set just to get past this thing, though when i think back on it, it was worth it. Though it took me getting owned twice by this thing, but i learned my lesson. Now i just own that bii with a U-Turn from Raichi. Dark type are a nuisance, but they get owned by Focus Blast, so i really don't have to worry. Also with great prediction i can bring down Dark Type before they even switch in. This thing is really terrifying when you really think about it. I would really hate to play against another person using this thing because it is so good.
Calm Mind is straight up OP. All i do is spam that and recover and the next thing you know i am sweeping my opponent team. Though i freakin hate whirlwind and roar pokemons they really get on my nerve. Though i can hit them hard, before they use it and that helps. Psyshock owns Chansey and Blissey. I just beat like setting up with Calm Mind and they can't do anything and i just KO them. It also lets me beat other Calm Mind users like Latias, because they didn't raise there defense any. It also lets me get past Jellicent with ease. Focus Blast allows me to own dark and steel types like Tyranitar and Ferrothorn. The only down side is that it misses all the time. I have considered Hp Fighting (well ben considered it), but i am going to have to test it out l8tr. Finally Recover lets me be able to stay alive longer and help me with my Calm Min spam. Its also just a great move.

Jirachi @ Expert Belt
Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 220 Spd / 116 SAtk / 172 Atk
Hasty Nature
- Meteor Mash
- Hidden Power [Fire]
- Thunderbolt
- U-turn
This thing right here is freakin OP. This thing is causes so much damage to my opponent. Meteor Mash is not use that much, but i find it to be really OP with jiachi as i spam it getting an attack boost. I know what your thinking why have Meteor Mash when the only other physical move you have is U-Turn. Well Celebi can be called a major threat to this team (if it has perish song) however with Meteor Mash i can get an attack boost and U-Turn out of Celebi easily taking it out. Not only that Ferrothorn is a common switch in to my Jirachi, but now it will get nailed by Hp Fire. That why i love this thing because it demolishes most teams. The EV Spread looks kinda wierd, but it works like a charm and it has an purpose. The EV's in speed allow me to outspeed Max Speed Kyurem-B, while the 116 SAtk allow me to 3hko SpDef Jellicent after rocks. I decided that would be the standard for this raichi as it can still get a 2hko on Ferrothorn in sand. While i just dumped the last amount in EV's in attack.
This thing is mostly afraid of Fire types because they can pretty own Jiachi, and Jirachi cannot hit them back hard. Ground types like Garchomp and Landorus-T also bother Jirachi as they can defeat it with Earthquake. Almost anything with a fire or ground move and hurt jiachi for good amount of damage however thank to how awesome my team is, they have little trouble defeat Fire types and even Garchomp and Landorus-T even though i have nothing to resist there STABs (only if Gliscor get Sand Stream) Though i really don't care because Hippowdon, Gastrodon, and Reuniclus can easily take their attacks since they are physically defensive. If it isn't Scarf Chomp or Scarf Landorus-T then Heatran can defeat them with Hp Ice. Against Fire types i let Gastrodon and Heatran take care of them as they're the only ones that resist fire.
Meteor Mash is awesome. After picking up some boost it is almost impossible to switch in to jirachi let alone defeat it thanks to Jirachi good bulk. Meteor Mash also hits like a truck though i hate when i miss, but it has proven effective enough. You may wonder why i use it over Iron Head well thats because after 1 Meteor Mash attack boost i can KO Celebi with U-Turn and not only that Meteor Mash can continue to hit like a truck though i get why i should use Iron Head, but i really don't care for that move. Hp Fire allows me to 2hko steel types, mostly Ferrothorn (in sand people i have Sandstorm, so don't make some stuff up) Hp Fire also allows me to hit grass types, but that just something extra. Thunderbolt allows me to 2hko Skarmory who can be annoying with Whirlwind and that keeps me from setting up with Reuniclus. It also allows me to hit water types and 2hko or 3hko most of them. Finally U-Turn keeps me from getting trapped by Magnezone and it allows me to KO Celebi after Meteor Mash boost. It also keeps me from getting trapped by Dugtrio whos a poop head.

Conclusion
This team is something. I never made a team like this before. I made teams using underrated pokemon like Azelf and Kabutops, but i never tried another style before. Most of the teams i made were offense while the closest one to this was a balance team i made. Even though i took on in enitrely new play style named stall i still did great making a team that a lot of player have a hard time defeating. You could call this team semi stall, but either way it was a stall team and it is very good. Ty for reading my RMT and i really hope you will press that like button down there lol. After reading RMT after RMT i learned that it doesn't matter how your RMT looks (well it does matter alot because if it looks plain with no pictures nobody would want to read it) it just matter if your team can actually work and it is good. I really challenge you guys on smogon to use my team and plz tell me what you think about it. Also let me give a few shoutouts to people who helped even if they didn't know, but helped some. Muddy Rain kinda gave me the idea of this team after he let me try his sand offense team. I was like wow Stoutland is good i really want to use it. After that i made a Sand Stall team with Stoutland. Even though it wasn't in the final product Muddy Rains Stoutland pretty much Started this team. I also give a thanks to qseasons and the smogon irc channel for atleast trying to find a name for this team. Even though the names sucked or was taken atleast you tried lol. I would also like to thank Ben Gay for giving me some advice on my team which really helped when making this team. Finally i would like to thank kidogo for owning me with his Celebi :( It really hurt though if i didn't get owned by that thing i would have never found that i had a weakness to Celebi as most don't run perish song i think? Anyway i hope you enjoyed the RMT =).
I don't mind if you use the team i actually want people to use it and tell me what they think. Also this team can be used in Ou Suspect it still owns even without Keldeo in Ou Suspect.
