So I made a team that I have been using on showdown for the past week or so and its my first sucessfull team and i would like to get it rated
The team
Well what i wanted to do here was a bit of everything (exept from weather boost) i wanted walls and stalling combined with crippling the oponent with statuses and entry hazards as well as high atk and sp atk pokemon. i also liked the idea of having both flash fire and water absorb on the same team.
Scizor @ Leftovers
Trait: Technician
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Bullet Punch
- X-Scissor
- Swords Dance
- Roost
This is my lead of choise because of its 1 wonly weaknes and if the oponents pokemon is a fire type i can switch in for chandelure to gain some boost.
Its hp/atk ev spread helps it build up one or a few sword dances and then attack with bullet punch which does a pretty big amount of damage thanks to tecnichian. i aded x-scissor for 1 more stab move and roost to be able of stalling and building up more sword dances
Chandelure @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Flash Fire
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd
Modest Nature
- Energy Ball
- Fire Blast
- Shadow Ball
- Psychic
At first i felt like this pokemon lacked something so i gave it a choise scarf to give it a speed boost and now it even outruns both gengar and alakazam witch is two of the biggest threats to this pokemon.
if the oponent ever attacks my scizor with a fire attack i switch in to this guy to give its fire blast a boost and protect scizor.
Jellicent @ Leftovers
Trait: Water Absorb
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Shadow Ball
- Recover
- Scald
Now this might be a bit of an oddball with its 252hp 252 Satk and a nature that boosts defence.
My tought was that it should be able to take many hits thanks to its natural bulk if i gave it a small (10%) boost to defence and so far it feels like its working pretty well.
This pokemon helps me protect chandelure as it can swith in on the oponents water attack and also gain some hp if i lost some its stab attack of choise is shadow ball and scald to give it a nice chance of inflicting burn and then i added recover and giga drain to be able of gaining some hp and stalling.
Giga drain has several times proven to be werry effective as not many people suspect it to have this attack when i switch this pokemon in against their water type so even if they bring some damage with a stron fysical water type i gain a lot of hp from this attack thanks to the 252 Satk ev.
Tangrowth @ Leftovers
Trait: Regenerator
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SAtk
Bold Nature
- Giga Drain
- Leech Seed
- Sleep Powder
- Hidden Power [Fire]
This is my physical wall and it is a BEAST!
It can take several strong attacks without going down and it can gain back hp from leftowers giga drain and leech seed or its regenerator ability.
i often use this pokemon yust to set up leech seed to then switch in for another pokemon (gaining +33%hp) so that the new pokemon gains some hp each turn. it is also werry helpfull if the oponent has a special wall and i only have pokemon with Satk left or the other way around.
sleep powder is also werry helpfull and the combination of leech seed+ sleep powder + giga drain often lets me get back to maximum healt after it goes below 50%
Umbreon @ Leftovers
Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SDef
Careful Nature
- Heal Bell
- Wish
- Toxic
- Foul Play
My special defencive pokemon for stalling and team aid with wish and heal bell.
It can help a friend gain some hp back or cure it from a bad status toxic can be a tremendous help in combination with leech seed or yust by itself to take down bulky pokemon and foul play often deals pretty massive damage
Garchomp @ Lum Berry
Trait: Rough Skin
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Adamant Nature
- Earthquake
- Swords Dance
- Stealth Rock
- Outrage
last but not least is garchomp who provides entry hazards. even though i pretty rarely use stealth rocks its good to have if i know the oponent cant deal much damage to garchomp or if i think he/she will switch out.
The sword dance helps him sweep and the lum berry helps with confusion after outrage or if the oponent gives me a bad status i mostly chose garchomp because i wanted a fast dragon as it always feels good to have at least 1 pokemon with a dragon attack on the team and its so mutch better if the move is STAB
So any thoughts? what is good? what can I improve? thankfull for help:)
